- Rishi has been slow and he must take responsibility for the collapse of the party
I have just been watching "Mysteries of the Terracotta Warriors" on netflix and was pleasantly surprised to find that the artwork in the programme was largely mine- it was something I did a year or so ago and I had not known the extact title of the programme! the documentary is great and I am so proud to be associated with it. Well done LionTV!

I imagine it's 14 years of the Tories that has caused the collapse of theparty, not these two candidates as you said.
But straws and camel's backs come to mind....
Logicless chairman Twofer, Sure!✌
@@annishilcock4587 every little helps.
I'm hoping and praying that the Conservatives will never be in power again!
?Praying still operates here lols🛐
This is such fun.
Remember to Wipeout to Help out everyone.
What took them so long ?
Too little too late comes to mind.
With this be the final nail to keep the lid firmly shut ?
We can only wait and pray, mirracles do happen.
Because they didn’t WANT to do anything.
@@samuelfawell9159 For the same resaons that they don't WANT to win this election.
Time C Slam salad not magic
Only Rishi Sunaks Tory party can lose a rigged bet 😂
It’s Sunaks lack of leadership which will result in the collapse of the Tories. Not these latest wrong-doers.
They were toast before this latest affirmation of inherent venality.
What Sunak should have done is insist that everyone in the Tory party or associates that placed a bet on there being a July election should step forward and identity themselves, regardless of whether or not they are currently being investigated.
“I’m Spartacus!”
Maybe they were waiting for them to go collect their winnings from the bookies.
The soap box will win again.
I love that word ❤ PILLOCK 😂
Apparently there may be a Tory candidate in my area of Scotland 🏴 I checked Ladbroke’s tonight and sure enough there is…. He was there placing a bet on himself to lose.
You have a massive one minute SNP advert immediately before your broadcast, and marvellous it is too 😊 🏴
Did these Tory gamblers use Sky Bet?
Just one more question remains who is footing laura lawyers fees ?
Am mind't your own recent nonsense
At least the 1st Emperor of China built something that has lasted, all the Tories have done is destroy things.
They're emotional toddlers, prone to irrational outbursts. Spoiled, wilful, self-obsessed and ignorant. This is most commonly seen in their destructive instincts. Most children grow out of that sort of thing but it seems some do not.

Schools like Eton are narcissist training camps. Narcissism is almost always born from childhood trauma, it traps the narcissist at that point of trauma inhibiting them from ever growing into adulthood. Hence the behaviours of Tories.
The epitome of professionalism, as defined by political amateurs.
The Billy Bunter, self-indulgent phase of the Party.
Nearly spat my tea out when you said "dithering pillock" 😂
Sunak has now established a precedent by suspending Saunders and Williams. Any other names that now emerge from the ongoing investigation (and I strongly suspect that more will emerge) must, therefore, be suspended instantly. After all, the Conservative Party wouldn't want to be accused of double standards would it?
I went and seen the terracotta warriors, at the Edinburgh art centre, back in the 1980s 🏴✌️
Sunak is a complete dork. His party is toast and his supporters are running away so fast he will not even win his own seat. Here's hoping.
The collapse of the Conservative Party has been something of a collective effort. The failings are too numerous to list in their entirety, but a few highlights are:
Brexit, Partygate, Liz Truss's economic "policies", rampant corruption in the awarding of government contracts, persistence in the policy of austerity long after economic necessity and the consequent deterioration in public services, such as the NHS.
It will be interesting to see what other scandals come to light after they leave office and no longer have the ability to prevent enquiries being launched into unethical conduct within government. I suspect the stench will be overwhelming when the poltice of cover ups is torn from the festering wound of Conservative corruption. The gangrene of corruption and extremism has spread throughout the Conservative Party, but they don't yet realise it's killed them.
I think the wound that let the bacterium in was David Cameron putting a referendum in their 2010 manifesto. That set off the chain of dishonesty, lying and short-term political expediency and corruption that has killed them. I'm not a Conservative but these are not phrases I could or would have used about any Conservative government prior to 2010.
Efficacious always puts a smile on my face. It reminds me of the Scaffolds rendition of Lilly the Pink.
Efficacious in every way.
I must watch that Netflix film and I shall particularly look out for the maps! (I do love maps!) Congratulations!
Rupert Murdoch won't allow the Tories to move to the left.
Too little too late, Richi mate!!! Unlike the Elves whose time had come and they moved to a new better place, Richi and his mates are going to be on the dole soon. Wishful thinking? I do not think that the Terracotta warriors could have done a worse job!! At least no bribery, corruption, fraud, lying, cheating etc etc. This period of history is certainly going to one of keen interest to future politics students (and others I think).
How is Soon-Out this morning? - Is he still "incredibly angry"? I only ask because he has mentioned this once or twice in the last week........
They did the BARE MINIMUM about a week and half to late, and now they expect people to praise them… no, vote them ALL out.
Forever.
Oh, inflation's down. And who exactly was responsible for letting it rip, quite apart from leaving us all with a cost of living which is unsustainable.
I’ve never known them to be centre ground I must have been sleeping they have always been centre right ie the nasty party they were never in favour of the working class
Nice artwork, must check out thanks. Quin was arguably the inventor of a very modern position regarding the population: they required constant policing and self policing and family self policing etc. This, because of the enemy within. It was even spelled out in their jumbo legalism: “ a weak people means a strong state and a strong state means a weak people. Therefore a country which has the right way is concerned with weakening the people.” Dean and Massumi. Sounds familiar.
PS Nice map work Professor Tim, very nice indeed, I am going to watch that film tonight I think, if i have the time that is.
And mere hours earlier they had to wait for the conclusion of the independent gambling commission investigation, wow that must have wrapped up quickly 😂, so criminal charges by teatime then...oh no they're posh and rich so Scott free then
The Dithering Pillock would make an excellent pub name don't you think?
Maybe, however the tories have decimated that business sector / heart of the community
01:09 Freudian slip “if we unite “ think we always suspected you conservative allegiance.
If Sunak had succeeded Boris Johnson directly, implemented his no tax relief policy, not only would the Bank of England sooner gotten inflation under control and there would have been less need for interest rate increases, the whole Min-budget crisis, Truss refusing to withdraw the Min-budget, despite both Starmer and economists encouraged her to do so, would never have happened. The Bank of England would never have had to buy bonds to save pension funds and insurance companies. Something which increased inflation and forced interest rates to be hiked even more. If the financial consequences were not bad enough, Truss being forced to resign made Boris Johnson see a chance to get back into number 10. To prevent that Sunak was forced to strike a deal with Suella Braverman. The price of her faction's support in the leadership election, but which left Boris short in numbers to run against Sunak, was high. Sunak not only could not fire her, despite Braverman committed one blunder bigger than the other. He also had to move politically far more to the right than the policy he proposed after Boris Johnson had to resign.
But I guess, when you strike a deal with the devil, you get burnt.
Sunak was too weak to to properly lead. That was his problem. Other than that he was the best candidate, having the financial sanity not to promise tax cutts when inflation was on the up. The only candidate to have had that sanity that June. Why Tory voters aren't demanding the editors of Daily Mail to be sacked for selling them Liz Truss, is beyond me. That choice for Tory leader and PM has both made prices and interest rates higher, and left less in the public purse for improvement in public services, because the higher inflation has just made public spending more costly, not better.
It all depends on whether Starmer can make a positive difference to the state of the country after 5 years. If he can then he will get another 5 years. I know he will have to disagree with a lot of loons in his party, but if he put his foot down and marched on like Thatcher, he would pull it off. Those Cons who were in ministerial positions mostly need to give up. We can recycle those who have perfect track records though.
Too little, too late. Can't get them off the ballot now. I`M CHOOSING which Independent candidate I shall be voting for.. I've got three to choose from up here, Rishi's constituency.
Would you consider voting for whoever is most likely to unseat Rish!
I can see little Sunak, looking up from under the counter....'Id like a Sky TV dish, its for my mum'
I suspect Sunak will be whistling his tune like Cameron was when he left No 10.
He will be whistling a happy tune!
Si monumentum requiris circumspice.
I think, the polling for Reform is underestimating the percentage that’ll vote for them, because in our society Reform is seen as far right, and some people will be reticent to say they’ll vote for Reform, when in the privacy of the ballot box, they’ll vote Reform. So Reform will probably win some tens of seats. I think the Tories will probably win about 100 seats. After the GE it’ll be very interesting to see what wing of the Tory party manages to elect their new leader. Whether it’ll just be an ideological sojourn to the far right for a small number of years or whether they see sense straight after the GE and come back to the centre right.
I bet its not over.
With the State Visit of the Emperor of Japan happening now ... anyone for hara kiri?!! Prime Minister ??
It was always going to be bigger with more people in on the gamble. Bye bye Rishi and co
Was that your artwork? If so, and speaking as someone who can just about draw breath, bravo!
many thanks
Prevaricate, prevaricate, prevaricate in the hope it will go away.....
No, Tim, that might have been possible three years ago, but now, it's got negative credibility. The second coming's more likely.
Do not fear Arthur Pendragon is standing Wiltshire lol😅
The Tory's have withdrawn support for lots of candidates as they consider them a lost cause and prefer to focus their limited campaign teams elsewhere. Conversley, candidates are neither using the Conservative brand on their literature, nor a photo of Sunak himself (with one preferring to be pictured with Farage). So 'wihdrawing support' in the case of these betting buddies is hardly a punitive measure, despite Rish! being incredibly angry; incredibly angry.
I think it will go towards the right. They've seen how that seems to be working out for a few European far-right parties and they've decided to get on the bandwagon..
craig saunders, new it lols rofe
The Tories are The Fall of the House of Usher 😅
why did i get an image of sunak tiied to a table like the pit and the pendulum..each scandal taking the blade a little lower
tim did the bookies pay out do you know
"...et simplement pour amuse'e....." my mate's old cockney glottal stopping poppa who hates flying/heights but far prefers to keep his feet firmly on >'terror Cot
Very cheap very offensive comment squeezed in at the last second. Not your usual self.
Can anyone explain why the one person to initially have the details of the date of the election is not being held culpable for the scandal. Sunak knows who he told and knows those people are without principle. Sunak should be suspended for giving his criminal colleagues this information.
It's one thing to have engaged in unethical behavior. Another to have engaged in lawbreaking behavior. Betting based on inside information is illegal. However, if it's rumours and speculation its not. It's likely with a good enough lawyer they could muddy the waters and get an acquittal.
How Johnsonian, Sunak has to be dragged screaming and kicking in order to do the right thing. He was weak in failing to act to begin with, but is actually weaker now that he has been shamed into acting. In a recurring Tory theme, ministers were defending to the hilt Sunaks position right up until yesterday. Pathetic.
On a brighter note, Rishi has learned numerous tunes on his violin while watching the Tory Party burn.
Nero Zero
He is rather bow-like.🪢
@@laidbackmedia That's what happens when you're constantly on the fiddle.
Too little too late, the damage has already been done. Grab your coats the party's over.
Surly you mean the "work event" is over
Get your coat. You've palled.
Bathrooms wrecked type of party
@@laidbackmedia I was thinking more of the Tory Party sort of party being over.
Sunak has been Kier Starmer's greatest campaigner in this election.
Guarenteed when Sunak is interviewed he will tell us all he acted swiftly. He really is an absolute annoying little clown.
Sunak hoped it would just go away, that everyone's too stupid, ignorant and easily distracted to bother with it for too long. He has shown contempt for voters.
Ditherers gonna dither dither dither dither dither dither Shake it out! Shake it out! Apologies to Taylor Swift.
Just waiting for Rishi's next scandal, almost undoubtedly his resignation "honours".
The Labour party dismantling the first past the post system?.....not a snowflake of a possibility.
The irony of the illegal betting with inside knowledge. A logical thinking process led me to back Truss to become PM then Truss to lose, Rishi to then become PM and ultimately Starmer to be next PM.
The pearl clutchers will still vote for them.
Too little, too late. The Tories have shown incredible ineptitude at managing Party issues, as well as in governing the UK. I agree that a centrist Conservative Party that shows greater concern for the people than themselves might succeed in the future, but factually the Tories have a great deal of work ahead of them if they’re going to be successful in implementing these essential changes to their political and ethical structure. They would certainly need to eliminate all possibility of a future parallel to the Johnson/Truss and dubious other leaderships they’ve chosen through their recent past years in Government. I doubt they can achieve these changes, or that they can eliminate the self-entitled, self-serving character so evident in their behaviours and political actions. Sunak’s actions to suspend candidates occurred under obvious pressure from media and public commentators. He showed a reluctance to act against his own that reflects the worst of Conservative politics. Will the Tories experience of near annihilation in this election provoke changes in their Party? I truly doubt it will.
Patel braverman farage and Co I've told so many lies to cover up their incompetence that that got more extreme to cover the incompetence up
In an afterlife you go to either heaven or hell. What would it be for the remains of the Conservative party? How much have they contributed and how much have the obltiterated of the future of the country? If their final attributions count, I think I could geuss what they are headed for.
Was this an episode of Yes, Prime Minister? If it was no one would even believe it.
Spewnak is a waste of clothes as we say in Scotland (central)
Pishi is what call him
Sorry, `Four`....
The standard UK solution would have been to appoint an investigator, hand him/her instructions what report to write, and then declare the investigator to be "independent".
Did Richie Sunak ‘suspend’ them? It sounds like an anonymous conservative person ‘sacked’ them. Richie didn’t because he didn’t know how or he was just too weak. And what about all the others?
Your a talented man Prof ; always has something interesting to say ! Let's hope the news of billions of pounds wasted on the Covid scandal today might people bulk . Could be just incompetence on this occasion but I wouldn't bet on it .
Rishi as the Captain of his ship is expected to take the blame when the ship sinks, the Captain is always held to be responsible even if he wasnt on the Bridge when whatever happened occurred. This was why many Captains preferred to go down with their ship, stood saluting on the Bridge at the very end. Rishi obviously will not do that, but would probably get some respect if he did. The thought of him and his cabinet mummifying themselves is a horrid image. The question I would be asking whichever Cannon fodder Rishi will be sending out round the TV Shows is if it was not right to suspend the 2 Candidates yesterday why is it suddenly right today? And if its right today why wasnt it done yesterday? What changed?
Put this into a well known phrase or saying Horse door bolted close stable after the has 😅
I feel an in house cover up
