We need to let go of the ridiculous fairy story that Diana was the poor
      innocent Princess.
As a 36 year old woman,
Diana was in control of her life and knew exactly what she wanted.
The reason she CHOSE to spend the Summer with Dodi was because she wanted her former lover back.
Hasnat Kharn was her focus and she saw that a Summer romance with Dodi on the yacht, with the paparazzi taking photos, would hopefully make Hasnat jealous
Diana's close friend spoke publicly about this.
