It's not the first time the Tories have tried to line their own pockets by betting against the country, it's what brexit was about.

Sunak made money betting against the U.K. Rees-Mogg moved his money out of the U.K. years ago. and Cameron had his in the tax havens when his was P.M.
I'll just say that again, the Prime Minister of the U.K. avoided paying tax to the country he was running.
And Liz Truss's budget. Remember Kwasi going for drinks at Tufton Street with a group who made hundreds of millions from the crash it caused
Nutsak lined his pockets and made his fortune at the country's expense of course, from the financial crisis in 2008.
The sheer total arrogance of the Tories is amazing .

There should be an investigation into Infosys investing £1.5 billion in north sea oil and gas companies only a couple of weeks before Sunak announced new licences. Infosys is the name of Sunak's father in law's company!

@@chatham43 Its actually not gossip, his father in laws company signed a £1.5 billion deal with BP July/Aug 2023. Sunak's licences were announced around the same time. Could all be a conincidence but it is highly suspicious.

As a non-conservative voter I can't believe how far they've fallen. It was at least possible for me to have some respect for Tory Leaders even if I disagreed with them.
Now it's just embarrassing - and it hurts everything because the overall quality of candidates across the entire political landscape seems to have fallen.
Go back and watch interviews with politicians in the 90s and it was so much more dignified and coordinated.

This is English comedy at its very best.
Sunak knows whether they knew. He knows whether or not they committed an offence. He can clear their names if they are innocent. If they are guilty he is letting them stand. Look at the contrast with Starmer and his integrity. Integrity over power is what chose again and again.
