My First Time in BANGKOK (I Can't Believe This!) 🇹🇭

- If you're considering a trip to Thailand, be sure to check out Bangkok! Bangkok is one of the most visited places in the world, and for good reason. This bustling city is bursting with culture, architecture and shopping. In this video, I'm sharing my first time in Bangkok, including my thoughts on the city, the huge modern shopping malls and the amazing food.
I started my journey near Ratchadamri Rd and Phloen Chit Rd on Bangkok's impressive skywalk that conveniently transports pedestrians over the busy traffic here.
I stumbled upon a few different religious shrines in the city, and found that Thai people seem to be quite religious.
I then made my way into one of the many very modern high-end luxury shopping malls in Bangkok, and actually kind of got a bit lost, but managed to find my way out!
Upon discovering the exit, I was greeted by a small Thai food market and managed to acquire a very lovely iced pomergranate juice, that wasn't as sweet as I expected it to be. But it tasted very healthy.
Then I headed towards Bangkok's metro system known as the BTS. After initial confusion as to which line to take, I managed to make my way to see the historic Victory monument! Inside the BTS trains was very lovely and cool especially with the AC to cool you down from Bangkok's humid hot streets. Very convenient and pleasant.
After that a quick tour of my hotel which is called Sindhorn Midtown, not a bad hotel for the price and great location.
I then went to check out their amazing rooftop pool on the 19th floor which gives a spectacular view across Bangkok city. Quite frankly it felt like paradise.

It is pretty well-known that beggars are from Cambodia, pickpockets are from Vietnam. These people come here to be gangster. Some beggars are Thai, but local news often show how rich they are, like donate a million to build a temple😂.

I know Lat Phrao well, since I had a restaurant 5 years in Wong Tonglang, I imagine that you must know the market "shock chai 4" close to the police station. My restaurant was behind the market.

Thanks, we all appreciate that positive vibe. Love spending days wandering the city and chilling out in the many malls and parks.
The reason there are few bins is because some while back someone placed a bomb inside a bin, and so the bins have become fewer, and all are transparent. At first it was hard to adjust to, but in the name of security we have adapted. Thai people who visited Japan popularized the custom that the Japanese also have few bins and would carry their trash around until they found a proper disposal area. It took years for people to adopt this imported practice, but it was a move for the better.
Unfortunately this was also a problem in Turkey for quite a while. A bomb went off in one in my own neighborhood one day in fact.
Full explanation, crazy group of people still exist nowadays, they are just jealous others who enjoy lives.

BTS stands for Bangkok Mass transit System, which has only been operating for 24 years, while the South Korean band BTS took their name from here.
You can buy tickets from the information desk telling them where you are going. There is also an MRT subway.

@@Jason-Travel There’s so many tourists recently I mean we’ve always had a lot you can find them a lot in attraction places like Siam Paragon which you will ALWAYS see a foreigners everyday but right now it’s even more foreigners even celebrities(I noticed mostly Korean idols)are coming to visit. A tip about trash bin in a mall is you mostly find them next to escalator every mall I’ve been in my life as a Thai always have trash bins next to escalator I don’t know if it’s like this every country tho but if you want to find a bin in Thailand just find an Escalator. for Ladyboys we might be famous for it but they’re not that common at all at least in Bangkok you might walk past one tho you just don’t notice them cause they don’t always dress up like most people think. Hey Jason, happy to see more Thailand content. I arrived last week on the Thailand island of Koh Samui. It's a short 1 hour flight from Bangkok. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, you should definitely fly out here. It's a beautiful island. Regarding masks, it's completely optional but since the people of Bangkok have been used to wearing the masks for so long they just kinda still do it out of pure habit. Most people don't wear a mask outside of Bangkok.

A lot of people in Bangkok wore masks long before covid, it’s a busy city with poor air quality. However it’s my favorite big city.
Yeah and know its worse than in many years i saw in an article. So pm2.5 mask are recomended

@@alexanders4911 I am a foodie and travel for food with my wife and Bangkok got such a big range of options. And the city itself is always developing so much that it’s always more to see. I’ve traveled a lot the last 18 years and many other places and cities has not lived up to the expectations, like my latest trip to Rome. Nice city and people but strange enough the food was many times bland and not worth the money

Thailand's BTS Skytrain (BTS = Bangkok Mass Transit System. Public Company Limited) has been in use for over 20 years. But the Korean group BTS Just formed a band a few years ago. ^_^

Welcome to our country, Jason! I'm a Thai fan. I liked many of your videos about China. So glad you visit our country. As a Thai who's been to many other countries before, I think our country has more foreign tourists than many other countries in Asia. And because of the heat, we Thais love spending time in shopping malls where it's cool and cozy. I strongly recommend you to visit Icon Siam. You'll be blown away by that mall. It's much more impressive than all of those you've seen in this video.
Also... about lady boys. Even if you walk pass them on the street, I think most of the time you won't be able to tell because many of them are prettier than real women.

Queen Sirikit is Queen Mother, Queen Sirikit is well known for her charitable work, where she is the honorary president of the Thai Red Cross, a post she has held since 1956. She has also been active in relief work for the many refugees from Cambodia and Myanmar in Thailand. She went to every provinces back in the 70s and 80s to help creates jobs for people and their Wellbeing.
