Great job as always
Thank you
Top job! Not as bad as i thought. I always thought there would be soldering on the port, but glad its a straight swap. Would you not repair the port? Even if it meant keeping as a spare?
It’s technically possible to solder just a usb c part onto the flex buts it’s a bit unnecessary considering the entire flex is only about $7
The original iPads until the 4th were a modular port. With the 1st gen Air they adopted ports that were soldered on. And then they changed their minds again. The 11” and 12.9” models are a modular part, although there are still a few models (air 4/5 10th gen) that still have ports that require soldering.
@@repaironwheels Thank you for the detailed info. I am just getting in to all of this stuff.

@@repaironwheels awesome thank you so much
So many techs break the screen on this install. I'm wondering what part of the procedure is the "danger zone".
Lifting the first 2 corners. Using an isclack and a little heat dramatically lowers the chances of damage. So much so that I offer an ‘I break it I buy it’s policy.
So for anyone reading this comment, keep that in mind. Ideally mail it to me 😂but if you can’t, try and pick a shop that has that kind of policy
So what's the process for this exact repair/replace? Cost and turn-around. @@repaironwheels
I have a brand new att unlocked iPhone SE I bought for my grandson and just paid it off he doesn’t use iPhone so it was never used. I put an armor phone cover on it. It is red. What will you offer?
2020 or 2022 se
Hey great video I followed everything you did and replaced my screen . I have one issue tho the screen touch function stops working every 5 min. If i lock then unlock it works again. Any ideas on the issue?
If you haven’t sealed the device, and if the old screen (touch + lcd) still works, it’s worth temporarily reinstalling just to rule out wether it’s a board issue or a touch issue on the replacement screen
@@repaironwheels ill try that thank you

I don’t leave pricing in comments cuz pricing changes over time, I wouldn’t want someone making a decision based on months or years old info
What’s the charge? Thanks
I don’t leave price quotes in comments because it will inevitably change over time. Call/text/email me

No iso?
On the screen no, I use it on iPhones because they don’t have a backlight. You don’t want to accidentally get iso on the backlight and then the image looks funky
