I totally agree with you about respecting the rock art. People who don't respect others usually don't respect the environment. I think a good name for them is "entitled grubs". Your videos are such a delight to watch. I always look forward to them each Sunday. Particularly liked the tree climbing saga. I had laugh and smile.
We live in an area with a high level of paralysis ticks. Many years ago our local GP told us to cover ticks in Rid Tropical a few minutes before we try to remove them. The Rid kills them thus preventing them from injecting toxin when you’re trying to remove them. We still use this method as much as possible.
Thanks lovely fam! Didn't know that part of Carnarvon even existed ! Nice climb Simon ! I said to hubby send the kids up lol sorry Liz 😬My 2 would've been up the tree before we blinked ! Loving you guys and can't wait for the build of the new rig . We have just done our Y62 and it is a very stressful but rewarding time . Stay safe and Happy travels!
Oh Liz I felt your pain with the whole tree climbing debacle - and in bare feet too!!! I think we women immediately think of what could go wrong and all the trauma involved if it does go wrong. Admittedly, things often go okay, but I think we are right to be cautious!!! There's no way my hubby could've got up there, so well done Simon. Just don't let it happen again (listen to your wife!!!)😜 So many ticks - thanks for the tip on the remover thingy. Wish I'd seen that when I put in my big order for 3 Survival kits! Oh and I loved the last spot you were at for sunset, most definitely "lovely" 🙂
Good memory from this part of the gorge, although the car’s starter motor packed up at the rotary shelter camp ground! A bit tricky with an automatic car! Managed to get it started but then we didn’t wanted to stop the car in case…. We drove to emerald directly… unfortunately no direct drive and we had to drive through Injune…. Good times! Anyway, we good not really explore too much for that reason, so thanks for sharing your trip!
Totally agree about people thinking they are more entitled, so rant justified ! (Love James’s positive view ). Well done on the drone…completely understand why Simon thought it was safe…Tracy agreed with Liz though 😂
I got tested for Lyme disease a few years ago as I had a severe allergy type thing happen with my sight. We had been in the bush in Canada and USA. I got tested for a few other things but nothing was conclusive thankfully and I recovered reasonably well with careful medical supervision. I have had dozens of ticks and that spoon thing looks like a great idea.
I know 2 friends with lyme, both had never left Australia. Not sure why the medical establishment wants to continue to pretend it's not here, but it is, so be aware for any symptoms.
You climbing pine tree, reminded me when I had to climb an iron bark tree to remove party telephone line for highway upgrade, Very tall no lower limbs, 40 ft ladder , still 8 ft to fork, managed to climb up , but didn't think about getting back down to ladder, Arms , legs rapped around rough bark . managed to slide down to ladder, I was young and stupid them days, Work place health and safety 😂😂😂 ,not those days, Lovely area yous in , enjoyed the episode Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺
My daughter got tick typhus/spotted fever from a tick (I believe paralysis tick only can carry it). The Dr’s couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her, extremely high temps and this weird spotted rash, tests were showing up nothing and I & started googling all sorts of things that cause a spotty rash & temps and came across the tick typhus, rushed her back to the hospital & asked if it’s possible she had that, they did urgent bloods and 2 hours later got an answer it was in fact from a paralysis tick, got the right medication & within a couple of days she was so much better. We were living in Sarina at the time & must have got the tick from the backyard (bush land behind us). She had a bite on her back & she must have scratched the tick off so we never knew there was a tick there. Bloody scary so I’m a bit paranoid about ticks. Anyways awesome episode throughly enjoyed it! That tree climb was epic!! But a no thanks for me, I would have left the drone up the tree lol. We are actually heading to Carnarvon NP in September, doing Salvator Rosa, Mt Moffatt (same campground as you) & then the gorge. So I will most definitely be on high alert for ticks.
Had to laugh at you getting your drone, we had to do a relay rescue of one of our kids years ago when they got stuck up a tree that high. Hubby and I both up the tree while he helped her down to me then I helped her to the ground. Luckily we grew up climbing very tall trees lol
There is Lyme disease in Australia, albeit rarely admitted. I had a patient who was treated for Rheumatoid Arthritis for 5-6 years. He convinced his Dr to treat for Lyme disease. 4 weeks of Doxycycline & he’s 110% now.
We have just been to Carnarvon National Park and saw signs at the visitors center and were advised by the caravan park, that it’s strictly a no go zone for drones. Very surprised to see your drone content, did you check if it’s legal due to the cultural values of the site?
I’m a fan of you guys Drones are handy a bit annoying when they’re buzzing around but I don’t lose any sleep over it but some people do We did a hike a couple of weeks back and someone flew one up from the car park and upset a couple of oldies I think the worlds got bigger problems than drones Keep up the good work 👍
@grahammcbride7866 we completely agree. You need to be considerate and respectful when using them (like a lot of things). Unfortunately, many people don't follow the rules and give considerate pilots a bad name.
Agree with your comments on the foot prints
It's disappointing to say the least

Thanks so much, Ian. It's great to know how many agree with us. See you Sunday!
Biggest bloody drop bear I’ve ever seen. Well done mate 👏
😂👍

What an epic climb Simon!!!!. I was with Liz there, cut it down seemed easier but you did so well. An amazing effort for sure.....
😂 thanks guys!
Just as well you had the climbing shoes on
Always 😉
OMFG no wonder Liz was panicking... Love how the boys imagination can see bird life in rock paintings. As adults maybe we look too hard!
Yes, absolutely. We love sharing it with them
Great tree climb. Once a climber always a climber. I prefer towers to trees as I've had a few heart stoppers when a smaller branch snapped.
Yep! The heart rate was up for this one!
Also, you scared me climbing that tree Simon, don’t know how you watched him Liz!
😂😜

Thanks Carla. It was a hairy moment, that's for sure.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's an incredible part of the country!
Good work on the retrieval of the drone mate, if you’ve got the skills why not.
Another enjoyable episode.
Cheers Rohan
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks, Rohan
Great episode and series. You have inspired us to add this part of the park to our trip next year
That's great to hear! You'll love it!
The boys are awesome. The little ones lolz.
Totally agree about people thinking they are more entitled, so rant justified ! (Love James’s positive view ). Well done on the drone…completely understand why Simon thought it was safe…Tracy agreed with Liz though 😂
Thanks, Guy. The kids keep us balanced 😂 and the wife does her best 😉

Yes, I think it's quite common in North America. The spoons are great!
There is lymes disease in Australia. Our friend in jimboomba QLD was diagnosed with it 12 mths ago
I know 2 friends with lyme, both had never left Australia. Not sure why the medical establishment wants to continue to pretend it's not here, but it is, so be aware for any symptoms.
Great Vid. We really enjoyed our 3 Week Tag-a-long trip to the tip of the Cape.
Glad you enjoyed it!
They have been doing test on dog in Sydney for limes disease over the last couple of years not sure about the rest of Australia
love you videos what brand is your backpack?
Thanks! It's from Shimoda, it's amazing as a camera/day pack

Wow. That's interesting. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy your trip!
Great info on Carnanvon guys. Glad you got your drone back Simon. I would do the same.
Cheers, Mick
What is the make and model of your rolltop backpack, please?
It's by Shimoda. I think they call it an X50

Oh wow. No way Liz was letting the kids up there 😂
Well done getting that Drone down 🙈😵💫😎👍
Thanks 👍It was a little dicey 😆
Which one do use more for internet and communication cowfish or starlink ? and would you delete one service over the other ?
We use the Cowfish way more often. The Starlink only comes out when there's no signal available for the Cowfish.
Great vid!
Perfect example of why women live longer than men😂
Thanks for taking us with you.
😂 Our pleasure!

Interesting. Could it have been contracted overseas though?
@@TheLifestylePioneers Hey guys, this person hadn’t been overseas for several years before this.
I now realise why Simon is different because he is a simian

They are permitted in some sections of the park. Definitely not in Carnarvon Gorge but they are allowed in most areas in this section of the park.
What was the thing in your hair 😂is it for drying it
😂 It makes it curl, apparently. She wants it to be more like mine 😉😆
Cheers 🍻 love all your content ignore the drone haters 😂
Get ready for some backlash over the drone 😮😮
Not a fan?
I’m a fan of you guys
