Dear Captain, I follow your videos with interest and profit and they have helped me a lot to familiarize myself with the ATR published for MSFS. A question regarding the FMC: in the flightplan in the right column in correspondence with waypoint I find the writing WINDOW in the ALT column. What does this WINDOW entry represent? I don't think I've seen any information about it...if I missed it, I apologize. Thank you
This can be done in several ways. 1) Use exisiting waypoint in the FMS database. 2) Define a bearing and distance from a waypoint. Example: Bearing 124 degrees and 5 NM from ABC. Type: ABC/124/5 3) Enter latitude and longitude. Example: 61 degreres 45.7 minutes north, 012 degrees 52.8 minutes east. Type: N6145.7E01252.8
Captain I salute u. I am from the country of YATI Airlince. I am neither pilot nor simmer but inthuasist about flying. I fully support u the wrong liver used in Yayi airline. How simply and practically u thought about atr fms in 2 parts that is awsum. Captain u are the great.
Cross-talk can only happen when both FMS are operating. Cross-talk means they are sharing information. If one FMS has failed, it cannot receive information.
Now the videos are even more useful, when flying the ATR in MSFS. Thanks. 🙂
Same here mate ! Super useful, just hoping FS2020 version of the ATR supports the functions Magnar has shown us
Thanks for your great videos on the ATR. They have been very helpful!
Glad you like them!

You are right!

WINDOW means the waypoint has a maximum and minimum crossing altitude, for example between 5,000 and 8,000 ft.
@@FlywithMagnar Thank you and have a nice day.
Thank you very much
Magnar, when I use direct to with a waypoint not in the flight plan it whipes my flight plan. Why is this happening?
Are you flying the real aircraft or MSFS?

@@FlywithMagnar By the way thank you for your reply. I really enjoy your content, and I am a HUGE fan of the ATR.
@@FlywithMagnar I think I found a manual for the FMC gonna see if I can learn a little more about it.
Good day Capt. How do you manually input waypoints during the arrival, especially on VFR flights?

Kindly explain how to Cross talk FMS if missing FMS1 or FMS2 captain
Cross-talk can only happen when both FMS are operating. Cross-talk means they are sharing information. If one FMS has failed, it cannot receive information.
Why "E" and "N" with a circle?
E = East. N = North. S = South. W = West. By highlighting those keys, it's a little easier to insert geographical coordinates.
We back up the fms in 4 sec.s...

GPS Doesn't Work in Aircraft. Aircraft Use GNSS. Navigation Done using VOR's.
GPS is an American GNSS systems. Other GNSS systems are BeiDou (China), Galileo (EU), GLONASS (Russia), IRNSS (India) and QZSS (Japan.)
So, you Have to Be Intelligent To Work Out for Yourself. What is Bullsh1t and What is Not.
Simulators are Bullsh1t.
