How's it going. I'm coming across your vid late. I just did front pads and rotors on my 07 fj and can't get rid of a horrible brake squeal which is a common fj problem apparently. Did u ever have any issues with that??? Thanks!!!
@@survivethrive2468 never a squeak in forward. I do in reverse backing out of the driveway sometimes. I have always found that the factory pads or ceramic pads have the least amount of squeaks. Ceramic pads are also good for less brake dust.
@2ThePointdjsteve thank u for the response! I actually bought all genuine toyota parts from the parts department at local toyota dealer. New pads and rotors. It had a very bad pulsating feeling and squeal before I changed anything. I just bought the fj 2 weeks ago so I figured why not change rotors and pads. The squeal is still there but the front brakes feel great! So no idea what the hell is going on. I have read on fj forums it's a common thing for both rears and fronts.
@@survivethrive2468 The squeal is to alert you of your brake pads being worn down to the point of replacement. If they are still squealing you installed something incorrectly.
@@breeze787 can’t do it one handed. Just me in the garage that day and nothing to put the phone on. I got something now and will have a better video for the 2008 4Runner front brakes soon. Same process as the FJ.

Why talk about how it's done the video should show how it's done?
