Yeah I never ever saw or heard of Friesians when I had horses. Probably a good thing bc if I knew about them.. It would have been just too bad, they're pricey for a reason. I have fallen so hard for them & love all at this site❤

Idk at my barn a good friend of mine didn't start lessons until she was 54 and it only took another couple of years until she had bought her first horse.
Never say never my friend, I will be 65 next and I have wanted to own a horse and be taught to ride properly since I was a child, I still have my dream and maybe one day will accomplish it, even if it’s only to ride, you are far younger than me, don’t give up hope, good luck 🤣👍🥰🐾👍🥰🐾
I’m getting another horse in about a month. He’s a Percheron coming 3 gelding. Finish about 16.3 . Had horses before, some injuries, however I’m not able to not have a horse. I’m 63. Don’t give up.
I love this thread. I'm 55 and not giving up the dream. At least not yet. Keep trying! I just found a great place to get cheap riding lessons. I'm going for it. If you learn to ride, you could sponsor a horse..
It is so beautiful when they run trot and kick their legs back. I love to watch them play. They really mind you when you correct them to not come too close.

This is one of the things I love about this stable, it’s obvious how much pride, love & time they pour into these beauties & ALL the horses they have, Friesian’s are their horse after all (by that I mean the area, Friesland) so they want whom ever gets these amazing boys to treasure them as much as those who’ve raised them. And Ive no doubt the new owners will spend many happy years with Hendrik & Harm, very lucky people indeed I’m going to miss seeing them in videos though.💜💜

Now I know who Rinse Janko gets his behavior from, big brother Harm 😂 They both also have the beautiful forelocks and long hair like their Mem. Hendrick seems like the calmer younger friend in this duo and reminds me in a coltish way of his little sister Jacobien who is equally stunning ❤️

To the boys, you are one of the heard, you know that Yvonne. It will be a sad day saying goodbye. They are so lovely. It’s always a treat visiting with their virility. Since mares are the majority, having colts running about has been fun to watch. The behavioral differences are very noticeable. You my have gathered from my expressiveness, I love Colts/Stallions. Their power is something to behold. Once trained properly, the bond between horse, and rider should be a lifelong joy.✨ ✨Is there a specific reason; other than being very frisky, why they are not kept at the stable where everything is familiar? I realize when they mature into stallions, they could be distracted by all the girls, and the hormonal shifts. The pheromones might be too much for them, and they would need special quarter’s. This is obviously a business, and colts from your stables most likely fetch a goodly sum. The bloodlines are stellar, and others want to strengthen their breeding lines. It simply is so lovely watching the boys grow, and come into their own. They will be sorely missed.✨🐎🐎✨💙✨
Love watching Harm and Hendrik movement. Whoever are the lucky buyers are certainly going to have a gorgeous horse when they mature. I could not chose which one if I had a farm and to perform with these boys. Good Luck in finding loving homes. Keep us updated on how it is going with them.

I love watching them run. Many videos of USA Nevada wild horses running. I love to watch them. I live in Nevada also. There is such beauty in horses running. Especially Freisians with their beautiful black coat.
It's easy to recognize Harm as soon as he starts trotting and interacting with another horse. He's full of himself. Knows he's the boss and so far je doesn't have any competition.

I think I see where Hendrick while he still follows Harm he is a little independent and goes by Harm. Harm doesn’t agree and he tries to get back in charge quickly. They are so beautiful. Both have gorgeous heads and heads.

I loved watching Hendrik and Harm together. I wish they had been sold to the same new home. It broke my heart when Harm was gelded. The way he dominated poor Hendrik, I just knew that he'd make a powerful, beautiful stallion one day. Oh, well. I understand all about this horse buying, selling, gelding, and breeding. I know that a horse will be sold if it doesn't earn the title of Ster (at minimum) at the Inspections. That doesn't mean that I always like the way that things turn out. Now we have Minze Tieje and Pieter growing up together. I can't wait to see how they do at their first Inspection. And Rising Star, too, of course. He's in a different category (KWPN) all by himself though. 👁❤🐎🐎🐎!
Oh they are so very beautiful 😍. I sure wish I could. My insides need the therapy if a hirse of my own but my outsides are so messed up with fibromyalgia and being 60, I don't know if I ever could again. These boys are seriously gorgeous. If i had the money i would try. Pray they get the best homes possible and become awesome companions or show horses and hace a great long and happy life.

It's always such a bittersweet moment with horses, when the 'boys become men', so to speak. They're absolutely marvelous to behold, of course, but at the same time, you know, they have to be gelded or separated soon, or they will be start fighting in a more serious way. And while geldings make for wonderful animal companions, of course.. they just loose that 'awesomeness', they have, before you snip them. I wish there was a way, to keep them at that playful 2-3 year old stage behavior wise.
@@WeirdLife777 True. But only half a dozen or so 3-4 year old Frisian colts are selected as future studbook stallions each year. Only the best of the best, so to speak. All the others can't be used for breeding, if you want to register the offspring. Doesn't mean, people may not still want to breed them, of course, especially outside of the Netherlands. Or just keep a stallion, because they like the more exuberant looks and personality. I think, most breeders therefor sell the colts at that age and leave it up to the buyer, if they want to keep them intact or not. Still, most will be gelded *sad shrug*

Sometimes we do. But mostly we sell as, three years old or older

Oh my they are both stunning... ice wanted a friesan for years... maybe one day... I hope...
It's always such a bittersweet moment with horses, when the 'boys become men', so to speak. They're absolutely marvelous to behold, of course, but at the same time, you know, they have to be gelded or separated soon, or they will be start fighting in a more serious way. And while geldings make for wonderful animal companions, of course.. they just loose that 'awesomeness', they have, before you snip them.
I wish there was a way, to keep them at that playful 2-3 year old stage behavior wise.
Right. But, they may end up being pit up for stud, so you don't want to geld them

True. But only half a dozen or so 3-4 year old Frisian colts are selected as future studbook stallions each year. Only the best of the best, so to speak.
All the others can't be used for breeding, if you want to register the offspring.
Doesn't mean, people may not still want to breed them, of course, especially outside of the Netherlands. Or just keep a stallion, because they like the more exuberant looks and personality.
I think, most breeders therefor sell the colts at that age and leave it up to the buyer, if they want to keep them intact or not. Still, most will be gelded *sad shrug*
They are beautiful. I am sure if I worked with them I could tell them apart like you do but just from videos I can’t.
