As a rental Tennant I’d appreciate a landlord like you,
We’ve lived in our current rental for 9 years now, and not a single thing has been done by the landlord, I spend money on it my self as I like a nice home, but could be asked to leave at any point. Keep doing what you do.
U keep doing what you do too.i was a landlord for 10 yrs and made the flats lovely, however only one tenant ever looked after the places, the rest trashed the places. Refreshing you care.😅
What's the point in renting of you are going to live in the same place long term? Might as well buy. Renting is for short term if you are not thinking of staying.

Your policy of selling a car which includes a decent amount of fuel is a great advert. Every used car (and one new one) I have ever bought was in the red zone. Keep up the good work!
Decades ago a dealer charged my parents for the fuel in the new Avenger they had just bought. So, to his displeasure, they insisted on being paid for the fuel in the car they had just traded in.
Same with me sure they drain the tanks for themselves
some traders are proud that they wont put any fuel in their cars and know we will have to make an emergency garage stop.
ive sold 7 cars in the past year (flipping them) and i always made sure it had atleast 1/4 tank

I appreciate your approach towards both being a used car dealer, and being a property owner. You always seem honest, and have an attitude of ensuring that everything you sell is in a good condition and well prepared. Not only is this a great sign that you take pride in doing your work correctly to honour customers and to be an honest guy, from a business side I'm sure it saves a lot of the hassle that comes with doing things cheaply and to a poor standard. Any business or property owner should take note!

Man I love your content. Being in the US it's neat seeing all the euro cars - and we are different types of dealers. I do cheap buy here pay here cars so I kinda laugh when you say a car is "scruffy" I'm saying "Oh man, that's a pretty clean car!" Anyway, love your stuff my man!

I’m now on about 15 cars when i started watching you I had 2 & had a lot of hardships but now its looking like i can hit 30/40 cars comfortably by end if the year!

You’re a really decent guy mate. You genuinely care about your customers and sort issues and post it online.. you don’t hide anything. Furthermore you want a nice home for people to rent… you moved a boiler to another part of the house even though it’s safe… it shows you care… i honestly wish you the best with your home rentals. You deserve it.

Glad you see that life isn't all about working non stop and money. Im the same, in business nearly 8 years as well, around the same age as you as well. I started in 2016 and worked every day in 2017. The pandemic made me stop and ask myself what I was doing, still work most days but take more days off and have more holidays, I have similar plans to yourself. your best videos are the funny car selling stories.

Great video, love the insight. You mentioned the cash flow and new stock, I always wondered what the average turn around time is. After 8 years of hard graft it's nice to know you have the option of giving yourself a bit more freedom in the near future

Interesting channel, I was a yard hand once. Using an r134a guage set and an extra long quick connect you could recover the refrigerant from the cars you scrap by re-gassing another car and save yourself 60 bob.

That XKR looks amazing! A couple of years ago I sold a bungalow for a client with an annexe - it was self contained with a kitchen. The sellers had to remove the 2nd kitchen for the buyer to get a mortgage , then re-fit when they moved in!

Super job on the property refurb, the bigger kitchen will make the whole property feel bigger, good to see you kept the outside toilet too, we have one of those and it gets more use than you'd think..

The property looks very smart, I agree about not renting out property you wouldn't want to live in yourself. I remember my grandparents had an outside toilet in their property in East Ham, East London, probably built around the same time. A shame you can't keep the XKR, but the video should be good.

My brother has a similar XKR , in what I would say is an even better specification . British Racing Green , red leather , Jaguar split rim wheels , infotainment screen and performance exhaust. Similar mileage and he is only the second owner. He hardly uses it now and having seen your one and the price I think it might encourage him to finally part with it. The value was dropping for many years but the values are now climbing. I think other than the E Type , the XKR is the second best looking car Jaguar have made.

Enjoyed the property segment, haven't seen a new video on your properties for a while. The old kitchen space will be a useful storage room and laundry, washer & dryer stack.
Matt, no doubt you know, if you take a chimney breast out you need to brace the external chimney itself with an RSJ frame in the loft to support it, if you have not taken the chimney itself down. It's a heavy stack of bricks that can bring the roof down pretty damned quick if not braced and supported. Interesting XKR too. More of this content please. Happy Easter.

1) Your presentation and content is very professional and amazing.
2) Like your WONDERGRIP feature, you really need to do a walk round the vehicle. It might have Lansil tyres?
3) You don't need to rely on CAR VERTICAL in the last 12 months not one of the featured cars has shown up with any problems. Your own professional knowledge and expertise is far better than their algorithms and database.

I miss the to-and-thro of the trade spent my early 20s in a Jag dealership as a gofer. Never got bored always something going on places to be interesting cars to drive and some real characters.
Great insight to your various business interests, pretty varied range of cars which adds to the interest. Wise decission to try to slow down a bit and take some time for yourself as you say we are only here once. Lovely XKR great colour combination from a time when we knew what Jaguars were about and were desirable but not for much longer sadly!
If I were a used car dealer I would end up keeping all the cars and telling potential customers to bog off. Kind of the story of my life. Im now poverty stricken in my retirement but with an awful lot of assets - mostly, but not all, depreciating. Love your Channel! ❤
Great video - would love to see you do a review of the Honda civic you pointed at as been yours as a lot of people view these as a good buy as a first time car or a cheap runabout - was wondering what you thought of the car and its (as sometimes referred to) choppy ride?

First house I bought was an end terrace in Middleton. Kitchen in an outside lean to - no indoor bathroom and the wall ties in the gable wall were rotten. Gable wall rebuilt - front bedroom split in two to install a bathroom - kitchen brought back indoors and got a grant to install central heating and completely redecorated. First mortgage was £11k because I am that old Matt.
I am glad this video wasn't as tough as the one during a summer with your flickering eyelid. I like how AJ doesn't care 😂 He needs a bigger sofa in the office. Yes, definitely find a bit more time for yourself to unwind and do what you enjoy. Being stressed takes a toll on your health in a long run 😞

Glad I’ve seen that VXR as someone I know said they had one but both his and that one has normal door mirrors… the VXR’s I saw all had the more streamlined mirrors with like a link underneath to allow airflow etc… 🤔

My uni house was rewired while we where living in it, it had a hole in the kitchen wall the size of football, it was bloody freezing in winter and all sorts used to get into the house. The land lord did a runner with our deposit too.

My in-laws have a 2015 Nissan Rogue, which is what we call the Qashqai in the US, and as a testament to Nissan's quality control, the model badge on the rear is spelled "Rouge". Nothing but the best from Nissan.
Vauxhall cars are renowned for those faulty bonnet latches. Just had to have mine replaced on a 18 plate Zafira.

The kitchen was genuinely smart and a nice consideration for the new tenants along with moving the boiler to the old kitchen area. Servicing engines and gearboxes before a car sale, taking back cars that break down under warranty, fitting new tyres where necessary etc. etc. all signs of a decent business man. Been watching your videos and it's so satisfying to know that having integrity along with hard work and effort, is beginning to pay off, you deserve it! Watched a lot of your videos but I've never noticed you smile full on until this video, perhaps because you didn't have to concentrate on driving, you being a passenger, but it struck me that you're actually quite handsome/photogenic, unless it was the other two that made you look good, ha! I think you should give Emmerdale another shot! The driver, (your bro?) looks decidedly sus though! Interesting video Matt.
