Ye[p but it's also Pete's arrogrance that got him in that situation. But Tom acted the whole thing so well. From the "What are you talking about? It hasn't even touched me yet." with the cockiness that he first had that got Tony to take away his suit to crying out for help to then digging down deep and finding his true power and courage to become Spider-Man, which was the lesson Tony did want him to learn without the suit...although probably not exactly like that but he does find it. Great scene overall.
Kinda agree with Vulture here to a point, about the little guy getting screwed over by the big guy. Granted stealing weapons and selling them to other bad guys isn't the way to go about it, but it's somewhat understandable his motivations.
The thing is though, the big guy makes the laws that allows them to do shitty things. Sometimes the only way to get change is for the little guy to do the same shitty things so that they'll make it illegal to do shitty things.
I love this movie so much... Peter's whole thing in this movie is making mistakes, he screws up the final confrontation so much that a goddam skyscraper falls on him. Literal rock bottom of superhero failure, but its the pivotal moment in his hero career when he realizes just how strong he really is, both physically and emotionally. And he does it all in pajamas and I LOVE IT. This is one of my top 3 favorite superhero movies easily.
The Vulture was such a good villain, part of me wants to think that some elements from The Vulture in the cancelled Spider-Man 4 transferred over to this film

Thanos and this guy were the best villains because you actually see where they're coming from. In their shoes, a lot of us would be doing the same (or at least try).
Well, he did it because he had knowledge, which he had because of education, which was paid with his father's money, which he gained by working on government, which included making weapons. And he made reactor with materials from his weapons
This is completely wrong. The Arc Reactor was made by Anton Vanko and stolen by Howard Stark who deported him. Tony did not make the arc reactor; it was already invented and created. All Tony did was make it smaller.
Shocker: And isn't that a minor miracle Spidey? The state of the world today and the level of conflict and misunderstanding, that two men could stand on a school road in Fall and fight.
Sky-jet-man they also have a that thing sky, wings, jet, man it a balance, your body vs fighting on spider man web weekly so I fly I’m not really vulture I am jet man
So instead of keeping silent and get the drop on him to web him up, you decide to yell out loud and give away your presence? Yeah that shit makes sense 🙄. I know you need the dialogue to happen to progress but make a reason why the talk needs to happen. Peter could’ve tried to get the drop on him but then Vulture saw Peter’s reflection in the distance from a glass bottle or a reflective case from the table that would cause him to talk to Peter giving his speech.
Dude vulture expects that spidey will come to stop/catch him. Thats why hes havin a knife at the table. dont know if that was a chitauri knife or sort of. he already plans to bury spidey.
@@sherwinmharleonin did you not read my comment?! I was saying why would Peter e stupid enough to shout out loud giving away his presence when he could’ve gotten the drop on him? Vulture could’ve noticed Peter already then lead up to start the conversation. All that could happen with Vulture already having plans for Spidey.
Because he’s a kid. At 15 I have some recollection of shouting HEY! just like that. Dudes got all kinds of emotions at that age. Plus he probably thought he totally had him. He literally tells him he’s got him so why would he think to be stealthy.
1:45 i like how he literally explains what vultures do. They eat left over dead animals and whatever they can find.

Very in character tho, reminds me of the ditko era of Peter who was at his most immature.

An Excuse is always an explanation, but not all explanations are excuses
Stark Industries stole technology/weapons all the time and then proceeded to sell them to bad people.
The thing is though, the big guy makes the laws that allows them to do shitty things. Sometimes the only way to get change is for the little guy to do the same shitty things so that they'll make it illegal to do shitty things.
there are always two reasons people do things. A good reason and the real reason.

🤦🏿♀️ he back?
Skyscraper? More like a medium sized warehouse
One of the most overlooked scenes in spiderman history. Tom doesn't get enough credit.
It has moments, but as a whole, Spider-Man is overshadowed in his own films by Iron Man... twice.
1:16 Favorite Part of the Vulture.
Always web both hands, Peter! BOTH HANDS!
Peter made this same rookie mistake in No Way Home and paid the biggest price.
Michael Keaton As Vulture Was Badass!!!!
The Vulture was such a good villain, part of me wants to think that some elements from The Vulture in the cancelled Spider-Man 4 transferred over to this film
Keaton definitely carried this movie.
🤦🏼♀️ spider-man is back 🗽
The movie carried itself. It was just a good watch.
He didn't carry anything, the whole movie was good. Tom Holland is an incredible actor.
Carried implies no one else did good, which is completely false. Keaton did great, but so did Tom, Jacob, Maria Tomei.
Better than most Phase 5 movies
This scene made me remember that Peter is 15 years old and yet he is in such a dangerous situation
I love Spider-Man Homecoming since 2017 and it was a great movie

Vulture looked vulnerable when Peter got there, so he thought that it was easy for him to turn in him. So of course he would shout out loud at him.
