Oh my goodness the beard oil is genius..My son has beard oil but it says for growth but , it was very thin so it’s what I used after the mousse/ gel /mousse and oh it worked ! I am growing my hair out so I will just use the growth beard oil .. Absolutely amazing 💕 thank you for this help !
I love your hair! I just discovered your TH-cam videos! You are my hair hero!!!! I was tempted to chop all my hair off or go back to straightening it every day. Thank you
I will have to try this. So far I have had no luck with anything other than layering 2 types of LUS via Smasters method. I will assiduously keep product away from roots from now on, as what you said was totally true for me as well. Beard oil, who knew?!😁 Thanks SO much!
I’ve always used cream and gel or cream and mousse. Some creams I use are Eva nyc rock a wave or aveda be curly cream. I use John Frieda or clairol totally twisted mousse. When I go with gel it’s dippity do, or Giovanni la looks. My problem area is the bottom back, it’s barely a 2c curl...so I spend a lot of time there, and today (in August), I didn’t use cream, and got the best definition back there than ever! It’s a winner.
Love your hair, your “little bit” is definitely not what I would think is a little bit lmao I’m so thankful for the videos!!! Ultra should be giving you a cut for curlsmith lol I just left there and bought everything you posted the other day lol
I would love to see how you diffuse your hair. Do you just hover or bring the curls to the scalp? I always get frizz! But I am only 2 weeks into the CGM. Edit I just saw you have a diffuse video and will go check it out!
Absolutely love your videos and cannot wait to try this method! Question: How is your hair cut? I watched the video where you show how you trim it. When you go to a salon how do you instruct them on cutting it? Keep these videos coming!!!!!
I tried this today but only applied the mousse once because as you said, high porosity hair just drinks it up or it seems to anyway. I used the Herbal Essence first ( I think I might have over did it) and the Garnier Clean Gel. Prob overdid that too because right now my hair is really stiff. I just happen to like stiff because my hair is fine and I'm low density BUT, haha, I don't know about this kind of stiff😳. Having not done the second application of the mousse I'm wondering if it's too stiff because of that. Did you apply the mousse the second time to lower the hold power? Do you think if I had of used the mousse the second time it would not be so stiff? I haven't tried to scrunch out the crunch yet and to be honest I'm a little worried so I'm going to be real careful to not pull out my hair. I don't use oil on my hair because my scalp gets oily really quick. Also, could you explain how you keep your hair from sticking to your head, specifically the back? Everyone just uses so much water and I find that causes my hair to stick to my head and yes, I've tried the usual things? It seems that unless I stand on my head it gets stuck there as I'm applying my products even tho I stay away from my roots. Anything you can share would be a great help.
That gel is some seriously strong stuff. That’s why I tried this method was so I could do heavy on the mousse and light on the gel. I love the hold it gives but if I coat my hair in this gel and get it everywhere it’s like cement! I have another trick... I’ll post a video soon.
The end result is so gorgeous ...I love that style🎉

Great video thanks for the technique and an oil that won’t weigh my hair down!
I’m loving Cathy Science!
Awesome video! I’m trying this routine next time I wash!
Great video. Can you please tell me where I can buy the bearded 101 oil?

I use way less curlsmith product! I’ll post a new video
I would love to see how you diffuse your hair. Do you just hover or bring the curls to the scalp? I always get frizz! But I am only 2 weeks into the CGM.
Edit I just saw you have a diffuse video and will go check it out!
I hover diffuse until about 80 percent dry, then I go to the scalp.
@@curlycathi434 awesome, thanks for your help!
Can you link the beard oil you use?

I haven’t had my hair cut in a salon in at least 5 years. I cut it all myself.
But... I can describe what I do so that you could describe to your stylist!
@@curlycathi434 I would so appreciate that! Have a wonderful day!

How wet is your hair when you start adding your mousse? I saw you had it in a turban - was that for long
I wrap it after my shower for maybe 5 minutes. It’s not dripping wet but I can still squeeze and get water out.
Wonder what happens if you air dry? I just don't have time to diffuse 😕
I get slightly less volume with air drying but that’s ok. I just add some root lifter and spend some time fluffing when it’s dry.
Awesome tips! Thank you 💜
@@curlycathi434 wich rootlifter?
@@patsycurtis5557 it’s a generic brand from Sally’s.
A bit less volume but still looks amazing. A cool trick for root volume is applying some dry shampoo and fluffing the roots out 😀
Girl I steal my husband's beard oil too!
What kind of beard oil is that?
It’s called Bearded 101. I got it off facebook. They have a page
Cathi science....that's the best kind!!!🤗🤪
