If you really want to cheat...
Put your entire side deck collection into the sleeves behind the cards you would swap during a match. Then switch them to the front of the sleeve by holding your hand under the table when your opponent plays a card that your "real" card can't beat. You can just make cards like "Ash Blossoms" magically appear in your hand right when you need them.

"When you play an archetype it has to be pure" is the funniest one cause some of these decks today be like "world chalice 2020" and in reality all it played differently than a turbo guardragon deck is 3 lee
Real story: An old buddy of mine once said that having more than 1 Pot of Greed would be too cloggy for the deck.

@@dog364 ghostricks have a very particular set of skills, their meta matchups most formats are like "ok i'm auto losing to 1, 2, 3 top decks and i can win a large majority of the time vs... that one deck... yeah..."
That's why I use a ghostrick mat, just to trigger my opponents

As a man who plays both magic and yugioh, the last one physically hurt me.
Yu-Gi-Oh got way too fast-paced for my blood. The majority of the games I play (outside of Duel Links, which barely counts) seem to end in a first-turn win for my opponent.
@@RabblesTheBinx thats..honestly how the game goes nowadays. You most likely dueled against players who are running more competitive decks. I play with people who are more casual, so it isnt a one turn game. Master duel can be hit or miss on what you face. As it has its own meta, so carda that are garbage on the irl side are broken in MD
@@jeremycocciolone9223 that's kinda my point though. If your overall meta has gotten to the point that the majority of games are decided in a single turn, your game needs rebalancing.

As someone who did make the change from ygo to mtg..I agree. Specifically for modern, and commander. legacy/vintage is too expensive and standard is too much to be paying $100 every couple months

The worst advice I’ve received so far was “Get guud” and then some expletive-laden, politically incorrect taunts after that.
That last one is especially a "DON'T FOLLOW AT ANY COST" example. If Yi-Gi-Oh is complicated, Magic will melt your neurons.

The worst advice I've ever been told was I asked for deck help for cyber dragons about 3 to 4 months ago and a guy gave me tons of random machines and also told me to play 3 of everything like 3 power bond and 3 limiter removal.

Want your favourite deck? are you willing to trade in or drop money on a case. preconstructed decks have no value compared to booster cards. Which is why people's trade collections are sorely lacking

Honestly, I'm so into Yu-Gi-Oh! right now, but I don't even have a viable deck to play with. Few years ago I just kinda bought 2 Structure decks (I think only out of curiosity, I think I knew they would not be playable), then I saw the texts... Yikes... But still, my interest didn't go down, it only went up, because of these crazy effects. I think the combo potential is what caught so much of my attention. But, I didn't have anyone to play with (and I didn't really want to play with two Structure decks) and now, several years later, I just kinda brought those two decks to a meeting with a friend and we played. It was ridiculous and heavily one-sided, since I at least kinda knew what my deck does (I played Pedulum Domination, he played Emperor of Darkness). And then something clicked in me: I suddenly wanted to experience this TCG more. So, since I'm kinda broke right now, and I can't spend money on Yu-Gi-Oh!, I started watching Yu-Gi-Oh! channels.
And here's the problem: while with other TCG games it's easy to learn more about the game - how it works, how different cards work, how strong those cards can be - it's completely different with Yu-Gi-Oh! I don't even know how many videos I would have to watch to understand the meta. In comparison Pokemon TCG's meta is very straightforward, as is it's gameplay and Magic, while more complex, is straightforward as well - the cost is almost always mana, which is very easy to comprehend by any player: more mana = stronger card. With Yu-Gi-Oh! I feel that if you haven't played your share of it with a working deck you cannot have any idea how the game is supposed to be played or how it flows.
I'm waiting for the day when I will be able to experience Yu-Gi-Oh! like you guys did, but I'm also very afraid of it at the same time. Yu-Gi-Oh!, to me, seems like the most addicting TCG out there. But I want to play it so much!

Honestly that is one of my favorite decks cause its really fun to play (at least for me) and I've trolled the hell out of friends with it but still way too slow for the current format and needs more support. Though a few years I did beat paleo with it which was one of the best duels I've ever had

I gotta say, I don't agree with always playing 3 nibiru. I think playing 2 in main in certain formats is fine. I played it alongside 3 Phantazmay in the Spyral-Geist format we had before whatever we have right now.
My reasoning is that in a very polarized format like the one I just mentioned you really want to see the card but never in 2 ofs when facing blind opponent. If you pull 2 or more copies against Geist you might as well scoop on the spot because it is gonna stay in your hand till the end of the game...
But then I play orcust so its a good going first card as well..
