He's kinda setting the expectations himself. He said he wants to be a first line guy, it's probably the main reason he left winnipeg. He wanted a big market and a fresh start to be a powerhouse again. He's negotiated a huge salary and asking that type of money you basically promise to be that value to the team. It's only fair for fans to take him at his word.
@@VisionThing Nah He is good for 2nd PP lineup. If you want Aho then swapping to Barkov, because Barkov is good for PK. Lehkonen is underrated player in AVS. He is pretty good PP and PK player. Probably he is 2nd or 3rd lineup.
Saw that guy in pregame warmup at the jets mid season skills comp shoot the puck from the far side dot and hit the crossbar with a wrist shot. Like a 180’. Nailed in on the first shot. That’s not something coaches teach- cause I bet there’s no coaches that can do that.
His one timer should bring another elite goal scorer to mind, Ovechkin. Both Laine and Ovechkin use the same "office" on the powerplay. Gotta wonder what Laine's shot is clocked at? Laine nearly scored on 5 on 5 a few games ago, but it was determined to be not inside the net (he picked the corner).
The Canadians are kind of stacked on the power play. With Demidov coming in as well and, remember, they passed on Michkov, they could have had one of the most obscene PP1 and PP2s in the league. They don't "need" Michkov of course and im sure Reinbacher will be a great player. But still.

The expectations for him to deliver are unfair but he has been amazing so far.
I agree
That's true, considering he has missed a year of hockey and has barely played any games for almost 3 years

@@jonah2486 I get that but he didn't play for a year
oh you cant imagine how much i have missed laines onetimer
It would be incredible if Laine finishes with the most power play goals this season 🙌
4 Nation cup 13rd forward. Lehkonen - Barkov - Rantanen - Laine - Heiskanen PP lineup.
Dream team
Swap Lehkonen and Aho?

Hattrick Laine.

It's a Win/Win situation and we got a 2nd round pick aswell 😅
Yep
Insane trade
It's funny how Laine is stealing Ovechkin's routine while 8 is on IR.

Laine from Hutson.
Yep
Only player in last 20 years with similar onetimer is Alex Ovechkin imo
