    On my 330i removal of some of the pipes and cables was very difficult and required some additional items to be removed etc. Also reinstallation was difficult with lack of space to reinstall pipes etc. So I think going in to some of the techniques that make this easier, which is probably just obvious to you now but certainly not to us, would be beneficial for your viewers. This was a great video though and I appreciate you slowing down with your speaking and not being short for breath, I hope this continues. Good work.

      Agreed. I have done this on my 330i as well. The bottom ccv pipe connecting to the crank case was the most difficult for me.

    Hi mate. In regards to the heater wires that plug into the little block under manifold, do they need to go in a certain plug, or can they just be plugged back in, in any order? Hope thay makes sense

    and i replaced the ccv valve. the question I want to ask is whether it is normal after the change to have a slight vacuum that opens the cap

  • @anthonygreaves4998
    @anthonygreaves4998 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi. Should there be a very negative vacuum when I open the oil cap.
    My 2011 E90 inline 6 has a strong negative vacuum that you can feel resistance as there’s suction. Put my hand flat to seal the oil cap opening and I can feel a suction.
    Not sure if this is normal on BMW as on my Nissan and Honda, this doesn’t happen (neutral pressure)
    I’ve recently replaced my valve cover with a magnesium cover due to leaks from the original cover and gasket.
    However, I really don’t recall or hadn’t noticed before a high negative vacuum at the cap before.
    Please advise

    SWAG also works fine for the ccv. Basically Febi and SWAG, Blueprint share the same production line, so if you can't find FEBI, SWAG will be the choice :)

    I broke the wire from the junction box to the crank case sensor under the starter on my 325i 2006 BMW. Can you do a video to replace the wire to the sensor?

    I have watched many of your videos about N52 enigne, I have problems with acceleration (it is very bad), it takes like 9 sec from 0-60, I changed vanos solenoids, valvetronic, ignition coils, sparks and still same problem, do you have any idea what it could be?

      have you tried cleaning your non-return valves? those tend to get ignored very often.
      i just fixed my PCV hose and that was my major issue. and my car feels a lot better, but i’ve got clogged cats so it’s still a terrible 0-60, roughly 7secs?

      9 seconds is fast thats about what you would expect from a heavy BMW why complain? Its not a sports car its a BMW 9 seconds is about right for this car

    Where is the best place to source the FEBI parts for this? What is the price difference with BMW OEM?
    I notice that these parts have a recall out for them, will BMW supply the parts to fit ourselves or is it a case of you have to get the work done at the dealer?

    Could this be responsible for brakes not being as sharp as they used to be? No error codes for low vacuum. Brakes are still vacuum assisted. Just not as sharp as they used to be.

    Hi need some help in Australia, My daughter's N52 e93 325i 2009 120,000km is losing oil at about 1l per 2,000km. When opening the oil cap we are getting suction. No visual oil leak, no engine lights, no issues, drives and idles ok. Doesn't seem to have smoke.
    What would you suggest we investigate?

    • @BharatPatel-ip4mj
      @BharatPatel-ip4mj ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not a genius at this stuff but having seen enough videos, I would recommend checking all your spark plugs for oil. Oil not dropping to the floor but disappearing (getting lost) indicates the possibility of a head gasket allowing it to leak (internally) into the cylinders and burn up during igniting process. This is a precursor to losing the engine if oil were to fall below required minimum levels. Drive with caution before the repair job is done. Get a mechanic or dealer to diagnose it. Good luck.

      Due to fire risk he stopped making them and I stopped using them immedaitely as too many peoples ones ended up overheating and causing the car to catch fire. Your best to buy a proper one if you want one

    Doc I have a question my bmw 1 series 2012 the bottom off the engine is after going the bmw specialist will be looking at it closely but I already know it’s the whole bottom off it il have to get fixed my question is, is it worth getting it fixed and replaced and continue to drive it or am I better off getting a whole brand knew engine put in which will cost me so much more or just sell the car the way it is either way I won’t make my money back but I don’t know what to do I live in Ireland so it’s real expensive to get it done but Ive got no choice

    You use Febi for this,why not original BMW?
    And the gasket for the manifold,did you change it,or is it usebel?
    It’s funny that you upload the video,i need to change the ccv also these days

    Hard to see the detail but this looks to be a difficult DIY. Is it easier to do this when the value cover gasket is replaced or better yet, do you just recommend to spend the money for a new valve cover since the CCV is built into it?

    • @diopsidem5
      @diopsidem5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did this a few weeks ago when I replaced the starter. Was a lot harder than I thought. Very little space to move about and super difficult to put the hoses back into position properly.

      The magnesium valve cover does NOT have the CCV built into it

    Hey what's up bmw doctor I have a 2008 550i and I have high vacuum in crankcase, when i I go to take out my dipstick the car almost dies and you can hear a lot of air sucking in the tube and my car smokes a lot ,changed out the ccv valve two times thinking the first one was a bad one but still the same problem. I've had the car parked for a year so I can work on it but I just don't know where to start, so I was hoping to get your take on it!!!!
