Wally thanks for the information. I will have to check my 2 new doors.

compare your new tracks to your old door to make sure as it is possible mine was simply an anomaly. if it is very close I do not recommend moving the tracks and either pull door out a little now OR shave the seal. I could fix this by moving the door out a little but too late for me as door is fitted to the rocker.

    Wow bummer.
2 things, if you need some metal, or a channel made let us know and also, love that plaque on the wall.

It was the first thing I hung up my friend. I have already re-positioned the channel and welded it back on., Tomorrow I will attach the seal and mount the door. Hopefully it fits this time.

It was a pain in the butt..... no aftermarket part works without some massaging

I've said many times, "if they can make parts wrong, they can make parts right." These cars are over 50 years old. The parts should have been perfected by now. Sorry that you had to find this after paint.

Hi Wally, on your t5 conversion what year clutch release bearing did you use?

Yea, as I said a pain in the a$$. But I expect more issues to pop up during assembly so I cannot go nuts on each one. :-)

Again why can’t aftermarket parts be made correctly! Is that asking to much.

agreed, you would think they would get it right after so many years.
