The way it's done back on Cape Cod, where I raised my family and lived for 35 years, is separate your labor from your equipment costs. Also, if you have to take any refuse to a landfill, the mileage, usage of equipment, and landfill fees are added separately. You will need those separated out for tax purposes, plus it helps people understand what they're paying for... you're using your equipment, so there's wear and tear on the engine, the bolts, tires, breaks, hydraulics, etc... you get the idea.... you're doing it right by dipping your toes in and getting a little bit wet, so you get a feel for it all. Great start, Dutch!
As a 33yr hyd mech you people are overpaying for hyd hoses. Get reusable fittings then you only buy the hose. AFTER YOU GET THE FITTINGS, YOU CAN MAKE THE REPAIR YOURSELF. sorry about caps.
I will look into this for sure, thanks 🙏
Looking good now.trail makes a big difference.dont over heat yourself. It's a good start
😊
You can still make money off of making contact with your channel
Looks like you're doing a good job. Hopefully your new side hustle will take off and be very successful. Always enjoy your videos. GOD bless y'all.
Thanks 👍
I might try these boots. I mostly use my work boots on the weekend. But I have a lot of land to manage and maintain. I love Soloman and Merrell's, but these boots are quite expensive. A good pair of Soloman's will cost over $200. Merrell's are super comfortable and I wear their mid hiker or tactical shoe for walking around and those are roughly $140. Be careful picking those large rocks up. I did that last year and was bitten by a copperhead. The most pain I've ever experienced.
I love brunt boots 😊
...just from the start....looks like Daniel's place! 😁
Love the Air B&B!
Good side job...everyone needs someone like you to haul for them!
Daniel is thinking he's going to buy a dump trailer of his own he just mentioned it on his newest video
😁
@@angelaknisellhe will love it
The air bnb in okie better come with AC. Not a sleeper in >75*
Love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you mowing the hill watch the gravel and big rocks you don't need tore up equipment
Thanks, you too!
It would be a fun hill for sliding down in the winter if you get snow their
Yes
Hi Sean, good work with the skid steer 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Thanks 👍
Dutch, I Love Your Channel... Thank You For Always Haveing An Adventure To Follow... 😂🙏🙏🙏
The Air B&B LOOKS COZY. Can you get a pic of someone standing in it.
Nice clean up!❤
I was a gardener for a community group! And I was moving the community centre presidents garden and I killed the mower! Don’t know how I didn’t get fired that day! Had to do a walk of shame go and get the cheque book to get him to sign and go and get a new mower! It tore the engine off the mount! Went on to work that job for ten years!
That was a kind thing you did , promoting that ladies air b& b . Your a good man Dutch .
I don’t know where you had to get that hose, but we go to NAPA and they will make our hoses and we can usually save some cash by doing it that way.
Sean, if you take tie a rope right in the middle of it and put, you can pull it straight back every time when you roll your line back up you just tie your string rope back up, simple and easy
😊
I am so happy for you helping others and making money 💰 ❤
😊
Love watching your channels. Keep Smiling and May God Bless You and Your New Business. ❤🙏
The entrance to the quarry looks identical to the quarry I worked at in Pennsylvania driving a 50 ton rock hauler. Best paying job I ever had, but the hours were horrible. 4am to 7pm Monday thru Saturday.
😊
I really enjoy you and family's videos. God's blessings to yall
I"m an 83 year old woman and am housebound. You work so hard, and your videos are interesting. I really enjoy them.
That trail looks like it was burn at one time from a fast fire. The trees all have look of burnt bark . Yeah it looks good on the trail.
Pretty country! Love the clouds!
😊
Thanks again for another awesome video I really enjoyed it and as always I'm really looking forward to seeing the next video
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad your first job with Bo was a success. Hope and pray for lots more thanks for sharing g have a fun weekend take care God bless 💕🙏
Thanks so much
It is steep please be careful! Love your channell! ❤️
Thank you, I will
You should probably carry extra parts that can break easily. Just keep the receipts for your records. Usually your first couple of years, you'll operate at a lose, at least buying things you'll need or want to buy for business will make it appear that way. But you get to write it off on your business taxes when you file them. That's why I said keep records and receipts for everything. You may want to get a notebook to write all jobs, dates and cost and everything relating to each job down. Plus an envelope for any receipts related to that job. It's better to have all this stuff handy when it comes tax time.
Hope it all goes well with in the future for you . I love your channel and your family . God Bless
Thank you so much!
Great video Sean.....you got on well on the hill and making roads through the wood...stay safe and see you soon
Thanks 👍
Sean, the work you and Bo have done looks really 👍🏻! I just hope it cools down for you guys soon 😊! I would definitely keep track of any recipes 😉! I have to do that for our business too! Minivans cost a bunch to fix for our special needs transportation business 😮!
The air B & B looked really well done 👍🏻! We just never have time for a vacation 🤷♀️! Thanks for sharing all the different adventures you and your family have😁! Stay safe and God Bless🙏🏻🤗💕!
When u use the cover u need put bungee straps down on the side of the trailer, keeping stuff blowing out if u don’t the stuff still can blow out of the trailer from the side of it because that cover blow in the wind and stuff come out
Highly suggest if you continue on htis adventure, keep with you spares of the lines going from the skid steer to the brush head (as they can and will get snagged), and the hoses that go over any pivot point. Add abrasion sheaths to the hoses as they go over the rear pivot of the lift frame (preferably the hard spiral wrap type vs the cloth tube). Carry spare shear pins, a set of blades and 3 or 4 sets of blade bolts. Carry 5 gal of Hydraulic fluid, 1 Gal of engine oil and 2-5 gal of coolant. Its better to be able to fix common issues quickly in the field rather than having to run into town every time something breaks. Good luck and hope the business takes off.
All the best wishes for your new business 😀👍🏻
When you are mowing a hill, mow from the right to left instead of from bottom of the hill to the top.
You did a job. Looks great. I am sure you will get more work. Good luck. That is not a high price. Great video
God bless your new job 🙏 ❤
Thank you!!

Happy Birthday have a great day 🍭🎂🍦
Thanks you ❤️
Happy birthday. Hope it was a good one.
Lots of pretty yellow flowers. Wonder if it’s St. John’s wort 🧐
Hello Dutch and family
hey dutch think about having back up hoses ready in case you break hoses on the job so you can have them ready to replace. this way it saves you time on the job. and you can finish your job that day.
I paid $180 for an excavator to do brush and rock removal as well as having additional equipment to do soil conditioning. That work was $1000. I had an additional $7000 to level out my ack yard and install an infiltrator leech field. I am in Northern New York.
Up and down causes erosion on hills you can go up but then go side to side-slowly!
How much did cost at the dump?
@@lyndascrivner383 $50
Tough job. Most entertaining thanks. Chris from England
I am so happy for you Dutch ❤
😊
Maybe you should call it okie dokie land management😂
Bring your skid steer to south ms… I think we can use it lol😂
On my way 😊
I watched the shingle dumping twice but still missed how much it cost. 😁
@@MrLangDog my audio wasn’t working on that part either lol $50
@@KeepingItDutch Oh not too bad.
That would be a great sledding hill. The trail looks great. Nice job. Good video, thank you
Thanks 👍
Good evening from Syracuse NY everyone
Hi
@@KeepingItDutch Hi brother
That hill would be so much fun with snow on it.
Yes
That hill looks familiar. I believe I saw someone really tall on that hill.
Need to make sure need to find out the competitive rate around your area
Wish you was able to come to Fayetteville arkansas
And how much did you pay at the landfill?
@@normaaliciarodriguez6966 $50
Hope the land management jobs work out.
You started talking about who and where the $$ you make might go. Big businesses around here rent the equipment. That way, they can put the broken stuff to someone else.
I am so happy for you ❤
😊
Hi Brandy and Dutch and family becareful out there 😮 looks dangerous steep hill your doing a great job God bless you
😊
Ya might get a job with the SECERT service working on inclines😂😂😂
Enjoy your videos. Heading to facebook.
Now that's different, you have a dump. That rock looks great. Wow that AirBnB is awesome 🎉🎉🎉.
Correction dump trailer not truck I had to pick that out of everything you said on here gotta give you a hard time keep on keeping on with all that being said have a great day god bless
It might seemit might be worth it. But it depends how many customers you get if we get a lot of customers. It might be worth it. You're just new, so people don't know you yet. So you have to try to get more customers. And see what happens.
It looks like it would be hard and dangerous work. Be careful you and Bo.
Thanks.
You're welcome
You might better do a spread sheet then you’ll see how much your not making when you subtract expenses! Gas, fuel, maintenance, parts, mileage on truck, insurance, gas for truck, etc.
Just be careful Dutch. That hill was scary! Stay cool. Does that mower have any ac? Or a fan?
Hi 👋 Dutch
Hi
❤❤❤❤❤
😊
What did it cost to dump the roofing stuff
I think you are under charging them. You are a good guy. When you add in all the cost its not a lot of money😊
Brunt sucks if you truly work hard. My son bought a pair and has had to cut the tread off because it was flopping and causing him problems.
Lane shark mowe
what i would do is make the price like 100.00 a hour, then you do a 14 hour job and make 1400.00 i would charge a extra 250.00 for fuel and maintenance, after all you have to live and pay your help.
Beautiful ❤land
It really is!
❤😊
Great video just be safe till next time Susan in Ohio😊❤
Thank you, I will
With the cost of equipment and tools maintenance and fuel for vehicles etc and cost for tip fees land management maintenance isn’t affordable for most people because they don’t understand how much money is spent by the people who they employ to maintain their property and time involved with labour costs per hour and taking out expenses for disposal of garbage disposal etc has made it hard to compete with other companies and people who are finding it hard to giving them the best service possible the work is the easiest part but the time and distance to local tip sites are eating into the profits and they find it hard to break even or make a living today. More people can’t afford to have their own garden and property maintenance today is becoming more apparent now and elderly people and people on benefits and lower income is unable afford maintenance fees for their property taxes and fines for people with overgrown areas is another example of this world greediness and infrastructure and inflation that is affecting everything and everyone in this world today
Why don't you let your social blade income data be shown?.
👍😎
Did you see the snake in the first brush pile?
No lol
Doing a good job,😊🍂🍁🍁🌾🇺🇲
Thank you
Thats,nice
😊
Can't you scrape the rocks up in a pile?
I’m sure they could if they wanted to spend the time
