      I mean, it's obvious, quite a number of mistakes:
      - The creature is supposed to be nocturnal for exemple, but on the drawing at 5:17, it is portrayed in the fields exposed to the sun.
      - Or "Hot Dogs" written pretty fluidly, exept for the last letter written backward 🤨
      (Don't see how a kid could make such a leap in the lapse of a short drawing).

      damn some people don't realise what an ARG is. I like how you fit into three camps with these 1 you don't know it's fake & believe this really happened (which for this works probably until you reach the point when its larger than the single area the guy lives but a young kid may believe past that or with some ARGs which act like its some parallel dimension such as the sun is gone ARG which I believed was real when I was younger) then you have the people who can tell its fake but miss the fact that its a story for entertainment & not designed to make you think its real kinda like a film but people are less likely to realise its an art form. Then you have the people who know its fake & just enjoy the story which I'd say is the majority of people who stick around.
      I always thought the ARG creator acount wasn't meant to interact with people in a way that admits its fake as the account is the character you are following in the story but then again there is no rules & its just hilarious as you said.

    I like how these are completely normal animal abilities recontextualized as horror.
    Parrots and crows can mimic human voices.
    The hoatzin bird can emit a foul smell.
    Other pack hunters like lions and wolves emit loud calls to signal their territory.
    According to one theory, baby rexes not only looked feathery and different from the adults, but led things back to their parents like bait

    • @pelomusgo
      @pelomusgo หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Also, note that all of the "weird birds" look exactly like scientifically accurate dinosaurs, so maybe these activities come from the very past. I can see it happening, just not with human voices... It's a great hunting skill, they study a species' different sounds, discover their meanings and imitate them to lure their victims... Honestly, nature is amazing, though sometimes scary at the same time.

    The implications of the "weird bird" saying "Are you hungry? You want hotdog?" is absolutely horrifying considering the fact that we know that the neighbour's kid was feeding them hotdogs. Them saying "Daddy. Daddy. It's ok. Daddy." is also utterly terrifying as it sounds like a scared child talking to his dad. Also, the deeper voice when it says "It's ok." implies an older man, a father, trying to comfort his son in their last moments. Also, R.I.P Mike.

    I like how the dinos seem to behave in ways that make sense for their ecological niches.
    The raptors are the most dangerous because humans are easily in their expected prey size range. So they quickly start adapting to prey on humans since their normal prey is unavailable.
    The microraptors are just as smart as raptors, but they're too small to pose a threat to a human. They behave a lot like modern-day corvids who are also intelligent, can be trained and will respond to kindness in kind.
    The T-rex or other large predator is actually not as dangerous as the raptors because it primarily subsists on much larger prey items. It's not actively interested in something as small as a human, kinda like a lion won't normally hunt a mouse.
    Edit: initially thought the microraptors were archaeopteryx

      @@vardiganxpl1698 Surprisingly some estimates put humans at the perfect size for a snack for a T. rex. Basically we were just big enough to make them feel full for the day (according to some estimates, again it varies a lot depending on the estimate) and so we might actually have been worth hunting for them. Probably not so much that they'd do a full on chase, but if they had a chance to ambush you, or just really wanted to eat/chase you for whatever reason (animals sometimes hunt for fun, after all) then they might actually kill and eat you. Assuming they even recognize you as prey, which predators usually don't recognize foreign creatures as prey.
      Dromaeosaurs are still the bigger threat because they definitely would view humans as worth chasing, especially if their normal prey wasn't around. It's not a "maybe" like with T. rex, but a "Definitely."

    • @johnathanmonsen6567
      @johnathanmonsen6567 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Similarly, while the herbivore dinosaurs definitely wouldn't see humans as possible prey, if they ever do show up they'll STILL be extremely dangerous, just like how Hippos and Elephants are extremely dangerous IRL. I shouldnt have started this in the dark. Absolutely sent shivers down my spine. Loving birds, studying them, and having a few exotic birds myself, i immediately felt a panic when i heard the raspy 'help. Its ok' because they did SO good at making it sound like birds mimicking things. I never thought about raptors being able to 'speak' to lure in prey. Gosh, this whole thing is so well thought out and amazing.

    what i love about the part in which they learn how to "speak" more normal, is the fact that they had to learn it from an actual person. which means the words "don't worry, it's ok" or "please help, somebody" means that they learned that most likely from stalking and killing people. I find that pretty interesting and a nice detail to think about (also i haven't watched the full video yet and i'm posting this beforehand so if something like this is mentioned already then don't mind me yapping.)
