I love your tenacity and never say die attitude. Most backyard mechanics would have given up when you found the air leak with the carb. Not you. Congrats on your new acquisition.
Just FYI the coolant that goes through carburetors or through manifold is actually designed to heat them not cool them. The evaporation of fuel creates a significant cooling effect and sometimes coolant is run through to prevent condensation and even potentially ice from forming
I also owned a Steiner it was the 3 wheel, steer in the rear 60in deck with a roller attached. I mowed acres that started out terrible bumps ended beautiful and smooth, I LOVED it cried 😢😢when I sold it due to a life changing illness.
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼………………………………………………………………………………….Good to see you post a video! ……………………..dare I say it………………………..something else you can fix! LOL 😂 That is a cool hunting rig!
I believe you will find that coolant line going to that carb is not to keep it cool, it is actually there to warm the carb for better fuel vaporization during cool weather. I use Simple Green HD in my ultrasonic cleaner. Never had a problem with discoloration of any carbs. The zinc content is what causes the discoloration. The FD620 is a great engine. I have two of them. One in my 425 Deere, and the other I put on my Grasshopper. I rebuilt the one in my 425 after I got it. The engine was so worn that I had to have it bored oversize, replace the crank, and even change the carb body out because the throttle shaft was worn so bad. You could push the pistons side to side nearly 1/32”. But the engine still ran fine, was just pushing oil out past the crank seals due to excessive blowby. Tough little motors!
yes you are comepletey correct about the coolant line! I actually have 4 things rite now with fd620 engines I have this and a 425,445 and a jd gator, I like these engines they are simple to work on and reliable!
You made me laugh when you mentioned Diesel Creek’s new crane, his one would scare the deer away. That’s an awesome side by side setup you’ve got there and runs mint now 👍
Love Kawasaki engines! My first John Deere had one I did all the maintenance till I sold it after 20yrs still running fantastic! You do awesome work, I would love to own this very cool ❤
What a cool little rig! The fella that owned it before you wasn't going to let anything stop them from getting out and enjoying life. It's going to make a great work vehicle for your property.
Good job! I could've used that rig and made getting a deer out of the woods a whole lot easier! You'll really appreciate having it the first time you use it! Thanks brother
Another job well done my friend!!! I hope you and your family are all in good health!!! Your pup was funny when you asked if he wanted to go for a ride! Thanks for sharing with us, and good luck with the new machine!!!
Anither fantastic will it run video.you bring that mtv back to life again. Now all you need is get yoursellf a nice hunting gears and hit the road with that custom build huntting vehicle. Good luck and keep up the good work. 39:38
Awesome job. I can just picture some old boy who's got a life time of building things piecing that thing together. I'm sure he was a hard working man who wore out his body and needed the crane and winches to help him still be ble to enjoy the things he wanted to do. Great to bring it back into working order.
Nice Video. Seeing this vehicle with the US flag on it and a guy writing in the comments ,,you could mount a 50 cal on it'' i knew i was in the american part of TH-cam again😂 Grettings from Austria🤙
Great work Darrell. Love those lights. Nice "will it run" vid and that thing is versatile. Probable make a good log skidder as well. Love that dog. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Great Video. Comparing you videos to diesel creek isn't a fair comparison. Matt is located in the heart of what at one time the steel and manufacturing capitol of the United States. The opportunities that afforded him is great. Think about having US Steel headquarters a few miles away. Most importantly, you're two different people. You have a different presentation style than him. I can relax and watch you videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much jason that means a lot to me, I was really just kinda making a joke about my crane vs his crane but I really appreciate your comment ❤️, however you never know I mite find myself a big ol link belt crane one of these days as well 😁
I talked to the guy and he built it all so he could hunt, and lift up the deer to field dress and process the deer, he also used the back rack to carry the deer on
Haha I wish more like 1 month lol but I work on stuff on and off, I was just thinking about you the other day and I hope you are doing well and your mother also. What kind of lawn tractor is it? I sure miss seeing your videos…You should start a new channel… shadtree garden tractors 😊
@thehomepros6221 Well I bought a 28 ft camper to work on, I bought a pressure washer that wont start and got that mtd tractor to work on. So I have a few projects to work on. I still have the kawasaki jet ski to repair and a yamaha 760 that I think the owner abandoned here. Mom will be going on hospice soon as she isnt doing well.
The difference between diesel creeks crane and ur machine is that i watch and liked and give a sub, non of that all i did with diesel creek vid 🙃 Nice job u did here, stay humble and honest with what u do. L🖤ve ur vids and skill👌👍✌️
Kawasaki should offer those mods as factory options. They're well thought out, especially the crane. Also, there's something wrong with the audio channel, possibly the mic or low battery. There's a lot of IM distortion on high frequencies and impulse sounds. Very annoying/disconcerting. Consider using a professional on-body wireless mic.
yea I know I actually took that short down after seeing your comment and one other, but it was getting a ton of views and likes but I’m gonna just try and keep the channel clean
Anything with lye is going to react poorly with aluminum. Purple power degreaser is not good for aluminum parts, nor really is normal simple green. Simple green makes a special "aircraft" formulation.
What do you mean not a good one many poeple prize eating the honeys and oyster mushrooms,i believe you may be wrong on that assumtion.check ur books-safe n edible
Now if that was a brite orange or sulfur colored mushroom, then it is not edible because its whats known as jackolantern mushroom they also conjoin at base and are toxic enough to make u sick, not sure about death, but youll be sick enough you feel like dying.
I do that all the time and never had a issue, there was a bunch of hardened gunk so the wire wheel left a nice smooth surface, it was 100% the crappy gasket the gas made it break down I could literally rub the gasket with my fingers and layers of it would come off, cheap Chinese crap
I love your tenacity and never say die attitude. Most backyard mechanics would have given up when you found the air leak with the carb. Not you. Congrats on your new acquisition.

I don't know what I like best about your videos; Your presentation, mechanical ability, editing or the pup! Probably all of them!

I wasn't sure if it was mentioned or not , but the Kawasaki engine also powered the cub cadet tractor aswell.
Yes sir! And also a bunch of other things, I actually now have 4 machines with this engine in it lol
Your black plastic cups that mount on the side of your carb are upside down, very good video. 16:18
What I enjoy is your finding unusual items and then make them work. Fascinating.
Thanks B Anderson

I have some videos of the skid steer and excavator coming later. I got some other videos to finish up first though.

That coolant hose to carburetor is actually for the choke operation. Great channel!
Yes! Thank you!
Been using zep heavy duty citrus degreaser in ultrasonics for years and it does not change the color of the carbs and does a great job.
I think I have some of that, I’ll give it a try
Awesome job. I can just picture some old boy who's got a life time of building things piecing that thing together. I would think that skinning pole might be a problem, if off road, with catching limbs with it pointed forward.
It really doesn’t like you would think, I actually just used it two days ago to haul a 230lb 10 point out of the woods!!🙂
While it can certainly be used for hunting, I believe it's actually for loading a wheel chair on that bent rack on the back
I talked to the guy and he built it all so he could hunt, and lift up the deer to field dress and process the deer, he also used the back rack to carry the deer on
@@The_Home_Pros that's great, my uncle has one that a dealership made him for his wheelchair, he does hunt with it but he bought it for camping

That rack in the rear is trouble.
Be careful with that front bumper. I have a kawasaki mule and I am always bending the front bumper out. Because the mounts are weak

I actually raised it after I published this vid
