Definitely not a performance unit but it looks like it could be a good rig for around the yard. No need for a trailer and it won't tear up the turf! Good work Joe!

Make sure your new tank hose is angle cut on the end so it doesn't suck shut on the bottom of the tank
🐶Vinny would say "Looks a little rough rough." but if you know someone mechanically inclined who can use frame/foundation to build his own monster.

Love a good gy6 breakdown. Done this enough times on a kart I used to have it's muscle memory. Amazon has great cheap parts for every aspect of the engine & trans. The fact you had spark was amazing!
Home depot and Lowes have a package of pressure washer tips for about $12---15.00. it will cut your time by 50% . Get the $45 rotating tip and it will cut the time by 75% .
amazon has the rotating tips aka "turbo" tip also. Have to make sure you have the right one for your GPM rating and also have to start them facing at the ground.
Son your pressure washer is horrible! I love the channel but you have got to trade up to a heated water pressure washer.

We bought a Chinese 500cc 4wd UTV brand new & it was always hard to start, especially when the engine was cold?! It also had a diaphragm type fuel pump, in which i eliminated . I finally added an electric fuel pump with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator for an older VW bug/sand rail & it runs better than ever!! Just an idea for u… keep the videos coming!!
Hey Bud that pump from the snowmobile should work unless its putting out ridicules pressure. Maybe the needle and seat are bad with pressure??? Love your vids, I'm a retired truck Mechanic and you have inspired me to start looking around for projects like what you are doing to keep me busy. Keep it up
Gas left in that tank looks a lot like yellow paint, add some fresh gas and rinse.
Sweet you got it up and running like usual. So when you going to finish with the Honda Odyssey fl 350 I want to see that thing going when you weld up the cage and what ever else you are going to do to it
When you work on a side by side that is a generic brand it would be nice to know what engine it is and the cc’s of it like 250, 500, 750. Thanks for the videos, very informative.
Sometimes I wonder how you think, all air cleaner systems are sealed, how else would they clean the air, love your channel.

You need to get a sonic cleaner to get a better clean up on carburetors.

Yo u need to get a green tip nozzle for ur pressure washer!!!! It’s a 25° fan, u cleaned that whole vehicle with a 0° nozzle? That’s crazy
Looks as tho that fuel filter may have been clogged as well. Great video!
Did you check the air filter and oil before turning the engine over?
It's sealed so doesn't matter and it's not going to hurt it just rolling it over if there is no oil.
So I'm saying this as someone who hasn't actually watched the video yet. But I'm interested to see how bad it is. I still remember the Yamaha mule series. That was pretty bad.
If it's a first Gen Mule, get er running, send it down the road. Not very good machines IMO. But if it's in decent shape it'll be alright a while, just real cramped in cockpit. Enjoy! Great vid as usual, were watching you this morning.

Put your catch container on the floor and your old gas won't be trying to run back into the tank from your suction bulb!
I don't know if you have one or not, but I would highly recommend an ultrasonic cleaner. If not for the carbs alone.

The one thing is you seem to be not checking the oil before starting it. Unless I missed it.

Great job into getting it running. Good yard tool just don't try to tow anything or haul heavy things. Like a small bag of leaves lol. God job on getting it going boss keep it till it drops all the way dead.
Your fuel pump probably looks about like the carb on the inside, may need cleaned too!
Joe, do you still use the ultrasonic cleaner? If so, how do you determine when to use it or not. I was just wondering. I have one now and was wanting advice on temp setting and solution to use. Great work! Love seeing ya getting these tired units up and running again!
I set mine at 60 and I use dawn dish soap and water in it. I use mine whenever i clean a carburetor and does pretty good

I never knew if you left a engine sitting the old fuel would turn into that black gunk crap. Does diesel do this too if left just sitting for a long time? 👍🏴
The valves in the pump may not be working. Usually they use a diaphragm for valves but maybe the valves are in the intake and output. Could check by blowing in and sucking on the intake and exit for the pump. should only allow air to go in one direction.
You need to use a green or yellow tip on your pressure washer.. lol

I had one of those I beat it to death always started right up.ended up giving it to my parents they use it every day. All I ever did was put a new clutch on it and a 20 dollar replacement carb
Remember to always look at the exhaust side of the system too. No air out means no air in. The little critters like small places and we've seen that they have been around that thing.
Great project, should be 3-4 videos for restoration. Someone needs to open a small engine repair shop

Hey. Really like your videos. For a better way to wash a bike like that you should get yourself some auto valet premium purple power. You just spray it on and spray it off. It comes off right away.
Lol I always have to mute the volume when the bowl comes off the carb, I know the scraping screwdriver is coming. Nails on a chalkboard 😖.

Man, I was thinking, if the machine had been under water, water would've found it's way inside the crank case & valve cover via the vents where it would displace the oil (float the oil out). The stator was probably bathed in water too. Was surprised to see that fat blue spark.

Probably worth a pretty penny, rare sxs. Yerf Dog didn't make a lot of them, thats a 1st generation I believe.

Just take the manifold loose from the head will be much easier and really easier to replace!

Please, stop using that huge crescent wrench when removing jets...when you remove with bowl on, miraculously a small socket set materialises! Hope also that carpenters hammer has been ditched, Engineers use a Ball pen hammer. Rods connect linkages, Shafts is the correct engineering term for rotating mounts. I think you are great are you self taught? With a little more study of engineering terminology and workshop practices you'll be even better! But some drifts to punch out shafts etc so much better than socket extensions. Can't fault your enthusiasm! Tim from UK.

Those chinese gy6 engines and parts they used are plentiful and cheap which is good sense that division of yerfdog went under almost 20 years ago

It would be minty to see the crank bearing being a flooded machine
How well do those little bauer washers hold up?
There may be a seat belt safety switch. So when the seatbelt is not on it may not want to rev out all the way. And get another pressure washer for the love of God😂

I dont know if you can help but i have a project bike electric lights work no crank of stater motor so i put screwdriver to solenoid and everything comes on but cuts off when remove it i have charged the battery too

Just wonderin what tool kit you have. I need a set of deep sockets that i can use on impact. I know silver/chrome sockets are not impact rated but i seen u use urs plenty of times. The cheap sets ive had since was a teenager cant handle ive broken a few sockets with my 1/2 inch aoben impact wrench. I now have a dewalt 1/4 inch hex shank driver as well but would like get a decent set sockets and not spend hundreds of dollars getting all impact rated stuff.
I’m perplexed why you vacuumed out the UTV when it’s outside - just sweep that crap back to Mother Earth. And I’m going to pile on, that pressure washer is a joke. Sorry Harbor Freight. Great videos otherwise

I fix these yerf dog utvs all the time. The chain tensioner and rear axle sprocket are the only issues i ever have. Luckily its the big valve GY6 so it suprisingly has a little bit of torque.
They made this for a 10 ft tall person. This cage would make cleetus McFarland look little

Yea, you need a better pressure washer. Get one that does at least 3 gpm, and 2800 psi. You will find all kinds of uses for it. Should be less that $500.
