- 200,000 sheep will wear just about anything out including my sheep scanners crate.
In this video the crate gets rebuilt and ready for this seasons scanning with 75,000 to scan in a short space of time.
We also fit in a quick chat with the scanner himself..
No sheep in this one - all workshop, maybe a handy tip for treating orf!
I hope you enjoy the video and if you do, please gives us a like and click the subscribe button and bell for future content
Let me know if you enjoy the video and feel free to drop me a comment and also if you have any questions or suggestions....
Thanks for watching,
David.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. Really appreciate your opinion 👍
Orlaith has a great voice! She should be on more often.
Scanning. Could do with some tech development in this area.
Perhaps a wand (hire it) the farmer can use, relay the image back to someone (or eventually AI) at a central computer.
Reduce the cost, solution for small flocks.
Unlikely the next generation are interested in training for three years , driving all over the country, spending hours sitting on a stool. When they could come up with a solution to earn from home.
The sheep school will come up with something. They never fail to amaze.
It will go this way. Radiology the same way. It's all pattern recognition
Your such a talented guy. What a great job bringing something back to life.
Thank you 👌
Padraic Reilly a gentleman, scanned cows here in the past , great tip re the barrel you had a lucky escape , keep up the great videos 👍
He is a sound man and good at the job too! Thank you 👍

Thank you Linda.. Subs are ticking along nicely thanks to Sandi 😊
Another super video sheepschool.
Great tip on the oil drum - might be worth considering safety glasses when your drilling - as the man says ye only have one set of peepers.
Ye can never be safe enough.
Thanks for the tip. Really should look after the eyes a bit more carefully!
the high speed pencil grinder are nice but can be a handful
Thanks for the tip!

Rab here that was a fast tighten up alright David. I will be scanning soon pedigree Suffolks 🙈 some one has to do it. Gives me something to do on Christmas Day when the joinery slows up 😅
Thanks Rab. How do you find the Suffolks? Great lambs to finish I believe?
@@sheepschool365 I have not experienced all types of breeds but Suffolk finish better than Texel types. But the Texel types is choice top by the industry. My sheep are a hobby. Joinery is the my main line of work. Thanks Rab.
Your a talented man love your videos you know what you’re at great worker 👍👍👍
Thank you 😀
Great video as always, two great men too!
Thanks Paul..👍
Oh the beloved galvanise ! The blue blaze from the torch and constantly cleaning it's nose.😂
Like a mild form of torture 😀
love the videos on metal fabrication and repair. You are so practical. You don't make repairs complicated.
Get in, Get out and use the simplest tools you have to get the job done. Changing the hardware up a bolt size from 12 to 14 mm saved a lot of work and cost and downtime for your good friend.
Also, the advice on the removing the bung plug in the barrel is life-saving.
I always say there are three types of people:
A fool repeats his mistakes.
A smart person learns from his mistakes.
A genius learns from the mistakes of others.
Thanks for helping us be geniuses.
I enjoy learning from other people's mistakes.
Problem is not everyone wants to share them!
Great video, you should make more showing farmers how to make sheep hurdles etc
Thank you. Great idea...👌
Great to see something repaired in today’s throw away society. Great job.
Thanks 👍
Didn’t realise crystalyx did safety features on belt sanders too 😅 . The square bucket is a great job 😂
Well spotted, Crystalyx buckets have endless uses 🤣
Good safety tip ,safety is a priority in any job
Lucky to be around to share the tip!
Can I ask you where you got your carbide burr from? It looks mighty handy. I'm looking at ones with a 6mm shank, do you think they would be man enough for the job? Thanks, and another enjoyable video as always
Thank you..👍
Got that one in my local agri parts store. Think it was €20 and has lots of work done and still sharp!
Nice

What is that spray for the Orf called? Is it literally just spray a bit of it on the lambs mouth or wherever they have orf? And repeat or not?
Just the one spray. Great stuff called Wurth 2040. I will stock it in my shop, coming soon..👌
@@sheepschool365 brilliant! Will buy that….orf is horrible.
Can you do a workshop tour
Badly need to do a workshop tidy up first! I definitely will then...👌
