- LINK TO MODS BELOW!
UPDATE: Falskaar is now available for special edition on console and PC! Beyond Reach is also now available for Special Edition on PC; hopefully an Xbox port is coming soon!
Welcome to my first episode of top 10 Skyrim mods! In this video, I show off 5 (plus an honorable mention :P) awesome Skyrim mods that introduce New Lands.
In these videos, I will be trying my best to include 2-3 special edition mods that are also available for console. In this video, both Wheels of Lull and Forgotten city are available for special edition on both PC and Xbox One. Unfortunately, there are no new land mods currently available for PS4, because of Sony's restrictions on mods (ie that they cannot use external assets.
As always, feedback is welcome, and I hope you enjoy! :D

Hey all! A couple of things:
1) Falskaar is now available for special edition on Xbox One and PC! It happened literally right as I was making this video xD.
2) For anyone wondering why Wrymsooth is on here, it's because the mod author has taken down the mod and it is no longer available for download. If this weren't the case, it would 100% have had a spot on the countdown, but I can't in good faith recommend a mod that people can't download. Apologies! :(
As for the Summerset Isles not being on here ... well, my reason for that is something that you guys may not like. Truth is, I'm not a fan of the mod. I have tons of respect for the mod author, since it's an ambitious project, but I also don't think it did a very good job reflecting the Summerset Isles as they are supposed to be. From a lore perspective, Summerset Isles is my favorite province; hell, I did a whole video praising how awesome it was (which you can find here - th-cam.com/video/XspMBu_7ns8/w-d-xo.html). But the mod just doesn't fit the lore description all that well.
That's just my opinion. If you're upset with me for that and think it's an unfair assessment of the mod, I think that's perfectly fair and I am open to criticism. To make up for it, I will leave a link to the mod in the description :
3) Top 5 mods is probably going to be a series going forward on my channel. How would you feel about me making that intro (with a few tweaks for each video) my permanent intro for the series?
4) The epic thumbnail is a screenshot from Darkend. Speaking of which, I really want to do a playthrough of Darkend (and perhaps all of these mods) on my channel. How does that sound?
5) For some reason I said "DLC" instead of "mod" a few times in this video. Not sure how I made the mistake ... sorry about that xD
Thanks, you guys are the best! :)
i would like to see darkend gameplay,
As long as you continue to do the lore videos and this doesn't become another mod review channel, I say go for it. Also, can you do a straight mage build video? I wanted to see what you would come up with.
My plan is do to Darkend on legendary with no HUD ... but we'll see if I can actually do it without dying a stupid number of times xD
Roshank Redemption
ARE YOU INSANE?
Roshank Redemption Put up a death-
counter
I beat Enderal, it actually gave me feels at the end, Skyrim never did that for me.
Dudee bc Skyrim never ends its that what makes it uniek i hope Elder Scrolls 6 also does that
@@MLGerel I hope skyrim 6 has big new worlds that can be added to travel to when they come out like "world of warcraft" did but in the way that skyrim is now but every map on the big giant map could be traveled to on foot or fast traveling with 6k resolution that would be cool start the game from the first game traveling your way through each game doing every quest on each game. And the final big map you travel to would be completely new to go out with a bang porting all games to 6k connecting all games into one to travel through each one. One by one with a new one at the end that's how I'd do cause this is a game many generations will continue to enjoy as it really does never get old I strongly think my kids will love it when they turn 18 and play it on ps4 so its 100% worth it to me to do this game justice do it this why so many generations can enjoy it done right. Every skyrim ever made all on one game with new skyrim 6 map added to
I feel bad for PS4 players they have like no mods
Harambe Its called sacrifice. Its how we live. But thanks for careing.
This would never have happened if they had never killed you. Smh
Roshank Redemption Hi.I want to ask you if you would also be doing other mods for skyrim:SE.
#PS4MODS
Im a ps4 user by the way. This video was quite painfull. But still dam entertaining as always.Good job.
The Hunter Yes, I will. I'll also paste a comment below that I made to another person regarding PS4 mods. My belief is that you will get all the mods that were available for Xbox One on this list (Wheels of Lull, Forgotten City, Falskaar) at some point in the future. Thanks for commenting! :)
Regarding the whole situation with Sony, I really do think they will come around. Having mods like Falksaar on Xbox One is a HUGE advantage from Microsoft, from a business point of view. I really was not expecting Falksaar to come to Xbox this early, but now that it's there ... well, that means pretty much any other mod on this list could come as well, with the exception of Enderal. Think about how much extra content that is for Xbox. There's no way Sony would ever allow that. Skyrim is a big enough game that people would buy Xbox's over PS4 just for the extra mod content, and the second Sony realizes that, every mod on Xbox One is coming to PS4.
Roshank Redemption Thanks.
Beyond Skyrim is an honorable mention.
You're saying they spent over 3 years on Endereal? That's longer than most triple A developers put into their games.
Pet Rock that's because they're made by whole development teams fully experienced in game creation, Enderal was made by fans of the ip
The Cyrodill mod beyond skyrim people have spent more on just finalizing bruma alone lol. But they are also doing all of cyrodill/morrowind as well. Im more excited for the expansion mods.
huh...3 Years is like the average span of a Triple A game...Well unless your activision or ubisoft who cut and copy same shit over and over.
Closet Weeabo well yeah, they also have more than just a Hello Games sized team working on the game too.
Actually 5 years. They were already writing the story before Skyrim came out.
This was really good, fun to watch and well made. But I'm surprised "Moonpath to Elswyr" wasn't included, even as an honorable mention.
Falskaar is a lot of fun, I do agree with the video, my favorite part is the certain parts of the main quest (something the civil war quest line could learn from).
Just a lonely ps4 skyrim owner passing threw....fml
Jimu jhons True that's why I'm planning to buy an XBox. That shit is annoying.
Or better yet use that money for a PC stop being a peasant.
IF you want to play sykrim for the MODS i recommend saving up for a pc including a gtx 1060 6 gb or a rx 480 8 GB as a graphics cards. Its well worth the additional 200 bucks and only then modding skyrim will be truly fun. Otherwise have fun with your console!
BUY A PC!
I use Xbox one, even so PC users have the best scenario for anything >.>
One to keep your eye on is Expedition to Atmora. It's not done yet but when it is it might be worth a look
I love how professional all your videos are.. Y i subed prob the first vid of yours i saw back when
Thanks :)
Roshank Redemption Bro do you think they will have the flash mod?? Thats my favorite
hey umm roshank im new to your channel and umm i play alot of skyrim and i like mods but i dont know how to use nexus its too complicated to me but thats not my problem i use mods from the workshop in vanilla but now that i have downloaded the SE what are grapich (sorry for my english) mods from bethesda.net
I was surprised when I saw Enderal here. But yeah, I totally agree with you. Enderal is amazing. I'm a huge fan and I'm so looking forward to the DLC they're working on!
Thanks for the other tips. I knew some but I'm definitely gonna try Forgotten City.
Also, Beyond Reach is for SE as well, though I guess it wasn't when you made this video. But it was still one of the first story mods converted for SE. :)
"It can be difficult to see without light." YOU DON'T SAY?
Hey man dope videos..i jus bought skyrim for Xbox one the other day and even tho I sunk well over hundreds of hours in back on the 360 this is my first experience with mods and omfg I cant beilive I been missing out on this for the past decade!!! New lands weather effects quests weapons better blood the hippie project with the trees Lmao yoo literally a whole new world and I couldn't be more surprised/impressed..this is amazing
Kyle Ohlson Xbox mods are only a teenie tiny portion of what pc mods are capable of. I should know since I only recently switched from xbox to pc.... PC MASTER RAAAAACCCCEEEE
PC is always gonna be better
Enderal is one of the BEST games I've played when it comes to writing and storytelling - I would pay to see what the team that worked on it could do with some real resources when it comes to making another open world game.
Was it only me that found the Falskaar world to be very "lazy"? Not in the actual visuals or dungeons/cities, but the map itself. It was just.. round and part summer-part autumn. That was the biggest reason I couldn't get into it, every time i opened the world map I just felt unmotivated. I just mean that if you put so much time and effort into voice acting and story, it feels like a very "weak" to mess up such a thing as making the world round.
Yeah. Falskaar's only merit is well, a new land and a new reason to crack some skulls. Other than that it's just a waste of time.
I also felt like the experience was weak - even the ending is less than satisfying.
MonsterKat Agreed. Multiple quests end with the main villain accidentally killing themselves some weird way. Also, there really aren't that many locations
My biggest complaint was that I had to WALK everywhere. Go down the docks to get a quest then travel half way across the map to do the thing then go back! I got so tried of seeing a whole lot of nothing. I mean yeah cool new land but it was still Skyrim just with more dressing and less places to see.
Also I do like Endral but my problem is the oppsite of Falksarr where there is Way To Much set dressing; and sometimes finding/fighting monsters can be a pain if you can't see them. And some areas will always be a higher level then you insted of just normally leveled making what should be a level 20 area; a lv. 50 because you crossed under a bridge and get your ass handed to you in so many ways. But. . .that's my two cents on it.
Lunar Games Honestly I like it when there are areas in games that are super tough. Leveled enemies get a little boring after some time. I like the idea of a super dangerous area that you should stay away from or you could try to go in and get some super high level reward. You know?
Beyond Reach is now available on PC SSE as well.
Enderal... Damn I would have paid $60 for that mod. One of the best story lines I have played
the worst part about Falskaar was its loot game was WEAK
Another fantastic quest mod that is available on SSE is The Grey Cowl of Nocturnal. This mod visits a few other lands such as Hammerfell and Cyrodill and makes every attempt to be lore friendly. The quality is quite good. The puzzles are more challenging than vanilla Skyrim, but not to the point of being frustrating. Especially if you play a stealthy thief character, I highly recommend.
Jeez Enderal looks even better than the DLC's Bethesda put out for Vanilla Skyrim. Good job awesome mod community!
ahmmm you forgot a few mods like the gray cowl of nocturnal, moonpath to elsweyr and wyrmstooth. they are pretty good.
mental knight and summer set isles
Moonpath is fun but the scripting is lackluster. It doesn't do a great job of chaining quests so sometimes a quest chain will just end and you'll have no idea what to do next. That and the voice acting/subtitles need some serious proofreading.
Check his Top 5 Quest Mods video. Those listed here are not listed there. I'd seen the Quest Mods vid first and wondered why he didn't include Falskaar or The Forgotten City. Lo and behold, they're here instead.
mental knight he those in other videos
Forgotten City is a fantastic mod. But the one thing that really kills it for me is that after playing through it once, there's little to no replay value since you already solved the mystery. That is if you're like me and reload every time you get an ending to see them all in one playthrough. But even with that being a major issue in my personal opinion, great mod and maybe just one you have to wait a few months to go through again to continue to find it interesting
Issue? Came to say you created that issue yourself
Darkend and the region of Phalos. Can't help but think that was meant to be some kind of innuendo.
You know it's gonna be a good video when the honorable mention is dope af
forgotten city is so awesome. it has a real eery feel to it.
Wheels of lull is brutal
3 years down the road, and I’m very much glad Falskaar could be ported.
WHAT ABOUT BRUMA AND MOONPATH TO ELSWYER
Rude.
Ego Banana sorry I won’t point out a mistake again
It said new land mods and I don't think bruma is a new land
moonpath sucks ass
Moonpath is pretty broken and was never completed and Bruma wasn't released
I'm just hyped for thee Beyond Skyrim collection.
gettin the last 2 for sure . thanks for the list
i take issue with the fact you put an overhaul on a new land mod countdown otherwise good video nice and informative without any major spoilers definitely earned a thumbs up
Thanks! And good point ... uninstalling all of my overhaul mods might be tough but I could at least take out SFO. I've already recorded footage for the next top 5, but after that one I will try to keep your suggestion in mind :)
I tried to play Falskaar multiple times but I kept getting a bounty and having to fight a bunch of new enemies
I have to say overall the list is good though I kind of think that Enderal... almost doesn't fit on the list. My reasoning why is that it effectively changes the game completely so it actually isn't Skyrim anymore but rather a totally new game entirely using Skyrim assets. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that because I thought Enderal was bad, just that since it changes everything it almost fits into a different category in my opinion. Secondly, there were a few good quest mods that were amazing that didn't make the list... and most notably is "The Grey Cowl of Nocturnal". That mod honestly is one of my favorites with a whole new world to explore and while it too suffers from bad voice acting at times... honestly it's well put together and looks great. Also, another good one is Vigilant which is still being translated right now. It has a massive landmass to explore and like Darkend a heavy Dark Souls theme to it. Once it gets translated I plan to play it thoroughly. Anyway, just thought I would bring those up as well.
As an add on to that I just remembered that there are two more that should have been considered. First was "The Clockwork' which honestly had one of the best and most shocking startups I have ever seen in a Skyrim mod. Secondly, was Wrymstooth which I still have in my mod list today. It was both a large map, challenging enemies, a quest that made sense, and while I hated being forced at times to have followers was on the whole an amazing mod. It's hard to find nowadays but definitely worthy of one of the best.
I really enjoyed your video. This has unlocked new ways to play my favorite game. You have earned a subscriber. Thanks again for the amazing video!
I managed to complete the Forgotten City mod with in like 5 minutes. And the only reason how I completed it was I was curious on if the Jarl was the person who caused everything. So I accused him and then killed him. Everything was completed. Though I don’t recommend this as you don’t get anything from it. But if you wanna do it for fun/curiosity. Go right for it!
Thank you I was looking for that last mod you showed
Yeah, well, describing the Stonehole Mine experience as "tedious" has to be the understatement of the century. Not only is it tedious, it is completely illogical, assuming it was designed the way in which I found it. I tried navigating that nightmare and ended up quite literally finding myself going in circles for about an hour. I know these mods are supposed to be challenging, but seriously, when you are turning over each and every rock along the way and find no means whatsoever to progress, the only course of action remaining is just to quit, back out of the mod and go home -- which is precisely what I was forced to do. And when I say I turned over every rock, I mean I explored absolutely every tiny corner of that mine to find the way to proceed. It simply was not there. So, maybe my copy of the game glitched somehow, eliminating the procedural path, possibly clipping the exit into some other piece of the environment. No idea. But the exit was no where to be found.
The only other possibility is that the exit was SO well hidden that ONLY someone with some kind of secret inside information would EVER be able to locate the exit. Of course, relying on information extant only outside of the mod proper is, in my opinion, the very worst type of cheat. No author with any degree of integrity would ever resort to such underhanded tactics. So I hope this is not the explanation. Anyway, in utter desperation, I even tried to tcl my way around the mine, in an attempt to locate the exit. Nope. Nothing.
I truly hope this was just a glitch. I'd like to give it a second try; maybe reinstalling it will help. Don't know. We'll see.
I personally don't care if Enderal would take up near or all of the mod data limit on console I want it
PCMR!
James Bond It doesn't exist bud, it's just your
🌈IMAGINATION🌈
Fus Roh Dong wtf are you an idiot
www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/
James Bond No, I'm not, we all enjoy games, we all got the same games, it's the gaming race there is no such thing as one being better we are all equal so if you want to talk about PC and consoles like people were talked about by race in the 1900's you might as well be a racist Lmfao 😂😂
wyrmstooth was a good mod. Giving an idea that not every dragon agreed with alduin, But the only problem with it was rising the dead which is kinda a over used cliché for a story plot.
What makes Darkend's lighting so good? I want my dungeons to look that dark D: I'm using Vivid Weather's doom setting right now.
very good video, will probably check some of these out sometime, just one thing that irks me slightly is when someone claims something makes combat harder. Even though I'm sure they made combat harder, if someone feels the need to make combat harder it is probably because they never increased the difficulty setting of the game they were playing. I feel that something that affects combat, or game mechanics in general, should balance it with the base game, and make it so it scales with difficulty setting, so someone who wants a harder game can do the logical thing and increase the difficulty setting instead of being handed a harder game with a mod. And those who do the logical thing and increase the in game difficulty may find the increase in difficulty from a mod claiming to make it harder a bit beyond what they were expecting.
Sorry, had to get that out there when you mentioned harder combat.
New land mod suggestion: Moonpath to Elswyr
Novajam called Falskaar Lorkhans ironing board
Your intro is a meme. However, it's a DECENT meme.
Hey man! Letting you know that someone made Wyrmstooth compatible!
Also I say Darkend is pretty much the best dark souls land mod because it really is and I know that vigilant is also a good quest mod that would fit a modded skyrim dark souls play through as well
Hello I’m new to skyrim and only have the legendary edition. Does the mods which you said are available in SE also available in Vanilla skyrim?
no
@@roader4986 no
I haven't had the chance yet to play the newest version or get mods even, so maybe this weekend when I'm free I'll check these ones out :D!
Also A Top 5 mods thing would be cool! Considering they've redone skyrim maybe we'll see more mods?? I know there have been a few I've been waiting for for awhile now *-*
just drank 2 coffees 1 MONSTER 3 Ice Coffees, i'm ready for a marathon
No don't do it that to your body it is very unhealthy
meh
Dragon Cerc I do that for my O levels and then crash and burn
fogotten city is great, but it's not a new land mod. It's a big dungeon. Moonpath to elsewyr is more of new lands mod, because it actually has custom assets and actually feels exotic eventhough in it's layout it's just a dungeon. If I had to recommend one above the other it would be forgotten city but you would stay in skyrim, space isn't the medium you're travelling in hint hint
When playing Enderal, do you play with your Skyrim character, or is it something completely different as far as a new character and such?
These all look soooo friken awsome! It's to bad i have an xbox one. But at the time im watching this video maybe some of them are available now.
Maybe the voice acting got redone since this was years ago but too me Beyond Reach has some of the best voice acting ive seen in a quest mod. It can be a little quiet at times, but the actual delivery of lines has been solid.
I suppose it could just be a difference of opinion though.
"lack depth in comparison to skyrim" (refering to the quests)
damn that has to be the biggest insult you can give to a quest designer (at least almost)
Wheels of Lull is also for Classic Skyrim (and was originally made for it)
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a large group of people working on making all of tamriel in skyrim's engine?
Logan Sanders Beyond Skyrim. Although they are not making Summerset or Valenwood because those assets would kill the engine and wouldn’t be able to run even on the best PC. Also making Atmora and Roscrea. You should look at it if you haven’t it’s pretty good and they are making great progress. :)
I loved falskaar so glad they brought it to XBONE
Skyblivion/Skywind and Beyond Skyrim will extend TES 5 Skyrim's Lifespan in another 20+ years once they're out.
enderal is the best mod for elder scrolls ever !
german quality :_D
Forgotten City great mod it my fav
The one thing that kind of confuses me some, is that how can you find a way to the clockwork city of Sotha-Sil through a mine in Skyrim, if it's in Morrowind? It could be that I never played the mod since my laptop can't play Skyrim at all, or something.

(Should of mentioned this mod) :P
The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal - www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4509/?
holy shit that review LP channels thing really worked out for you didn't. I remember when you only had 3000 subs
the gray cowl of nocturnal was pretty good
If you've never played The Moonpath to Elsweyr I'd recomend giving it a shot. it's not quite as polished as the ones on the list but the quests are decent and tvhe modders did an ok job going into the lore of the Kajiit. In the end it's not as nearly as good as the mods listed here, but it's worth a try
Enderal was amazing, i was invested in the story unlike in skyrim, at least the main quest.
This is becoming legend thanks to moders
Enderal is amazing, the graphics and combat and everything is much better...even the story is amazing and it has a rly good ending. Imo is better then the vanilla game.
Summerset isle mod was so good I hope there's a special edition version coming out cos oldrims version isnt compatible
Great editing, you get a thumbs up from me.....i dont even play skyrim ahaha
5 land only 2 work on my skyrim se, the 3 after install my skyrim se not working i mean not open
3. BEYOND REACH -> where to fine
4. FORGOTTEN CITY -> bug if i read nothing happen,
Vigilant is also awesome
Enderal creator 30.000 hours =1250 days =41 months = 3 years and 5 months Wtf is wrong with enderal creators
what is your render settings
ohhh yeaaaa ya doin mods now :D
Do they mean chronagrapher because that makes sense since the prefix means time and they are clockwork people.
But what you said means orchestrate/control
U should do a magic mod list next 👌
For the next one of these that you do, can you do story driven mods? Those are my favorite and I need help finding good ones.
Asher.Yodaah agreed
I just found out Enderal is now a game on Steam. kool.
As someone who has completed Enderal, I suggest anyone who owns Skyrim for the PC get it. Like, right now. It has something for everyone. Can't say enough good about it- only bad thing I can say about it is that there are glitches that can get out of hand, but that is to be expected. That pales in comparison to all the AMAZING things that game has done perfectly. And, oh boy, the lore and the story are so good. Glad that it is getting more recognition ^u^
No Wyrmstooth?
Unfortunately Wyrmsooth has been permanently taken down by the mod author, otherwise it would definitely have had a spot :(
=\ Too bad. I still have it installed fortunately.
I installed it 2 days ago, still easy to find :D
Peraz link please
no moonpath to elsweyr?
maximillian schauer at the time of the video mods like moonpath and the Dragonborn Gallery weren't out yet
moonpath was the first land mod out in 2012 before the creation kit. They just added it to dragonborn Gallery
you have to tell us about your graphic mods! what render settings do you have?! it looks awesome!
any chance of beyond reach and/or summerset isle coming to Xbox one? its like helgen reborn I see it mentioned but can't find on bethesda.net or through mod section search in game
Nice video. Cheers!
Bruma should be added. Then, once it comes out, Beyond Skyrim will blow all of these mods out of the water, good as they are.
Can you do the same for dungeon and quest mods next, please?
Definitely!
i have bout 1gb free space max mod slots tons of dlc worthy content zero crashes unless streaming even still vr or very rare due to vram...zero conflicts months modding. many rewipes later greatness! 👍 most days zero crashes... all day! maybe 1 per 12hours while streaming live on twitch app. no more than that usually.
R.I.P Skyrim PS4 mods :(
Can someone guide me on How to mod on an xbox every mod i put on Horizon horizon says that its not of a correct format
oh hey i was looking for this
I love your videos!
Umm... did you forget to mention summerset isles?
No Moonpath to Elswyer?
Charles Ford That mod doesn't give you a new land. It contains closed, connected places.
7:30 that's what I love about it and another thing is gear it gives you
Those fun facts are really nice? Would it be worth getting a x-box one just for skyrim remastered mods?
Mantis897565 Yes. 1000x yes. I cannot recommend it enough.
Mantis897565 no, get a pc for mods
Creator of this video have same think with me... i also have been thinking like you that beyound reach is grestest one of skyrim mod!!!
I have some problems installing enderal
I've tried 3 times and reinstalled it and skyrim everytime and no fix has worked yet
Don't really know what to do because I really want to play it :(
Is there a way to get back to skyrim in the enderal mod? I'm getting that one and falskaar
Wheels of Lull, BEYOND REACH, DARKEND, Wyrmstooth and a lot mods from Skyrim works on Skyrim SE but you must unpack .bsa file and convert old .nif to new .nif (mesh folder) on SSE NIF Optimizer.
Sometimes you also need to convert textures on nifscan.exe -fixdds
Textures .tga and .dds (A1R5G5B5 and B5G6R5) dosent work on Skyrim SE only works .dds (A8R8G8B8 and R8G8B8).
