MAN YOU ARE GENIUS ..THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.. I WONDER IF EVEN THE CANON PEOPLE KNOW THESE SETTINGS.. NO ONE BUT YOU MAN .. THANKS A TON
Hi Don, you are probably the only person I found that actually knows how to PROPERLY set up the BR-E1 remote. I also own the Canon 90d and I use your video often to set up my remote. Thank you!
Yours is the video that WORKS. This is probably the 7th video I've watched on this subject and yours has everything right. Short and to-the-point. And you're the only one that explained how you can move between photo and movie with the remote. Thank you!
I agree Wendy! His video is also the only one that showed to switch your camera to self-timer/remote in the drive mode too. Because a Canon update a long time ago took the remote control item in the menu out. It's not there. So the way that the R6 and the R5 work is just like he has shown here in this video using the Self-Timer/ Remote drive mode and it works like a charm. I screwed with this for an hour tonight. In fact, I set up a return to Adorama. Then I tried one more search here on TH-cam and Dom's Media Zone solved it for me. So I cancelled the return before I sent it back luckily. LOL.
This is the best video ever. I watched so many other stupid videos on it, but none of them helped me. Very good, bro!!! I am saving this video forever.
Very thorough! I had already figured out how to do still shots with the BR-E1, but could not solve the problem of how to shoot videos with the remote until I watched the last segment of your video. The pieces of the puzzle finally fell into place...kudos!
I cannot thank you enough for this video! I was told my model would not fit the Canon HG-100TBR as well as not pair with the BR-E1 remote and this was stated directly from Canon...
dude, you are the man, noooooo one i could find showed the video remote, man never even saw it. I feel i dont know my R6 well enough after 2 years with it. again thank you brother so damn much
Thank you! I have not purchased this remote yet. This video is very helpful in knowing how to set it up when I do get it. Better yet you showed me that is wasn't going to work right away, but showed me why it wasn't and how to fix it! I love short and very informative videos, yours is the best I have seen! No need to watch any others.
Thank you very helpful , I had paired it all ok and was getting the flashing light but was not able to take video or stills , thanks to you now I can, appreciated
Hi Doms, For setting up the remote for taking photos, the self-timer:2sec doesn't say remote. It does for the self-timer 10 sec...Any suggestion on this? Thanks
Hi there and thanks for the question, I'm honestly not sure about the R5 as I don't own one but I have just tried it with my 90D and it did work. I set it to use Canon’s Electronic Shutter and used the remote to take photos with and seems to work great.
Hi Kris, thank you for watching the video. I have just tried and because the setting that works with the remote is 2 sec/remote or 10 sec/remote it will not shoot continuous. It takes one shot at a time. If I change the drive options to continous unfortunately the remote does not work so it has to be on one of the options that say remote.
dear, you forget one thing! if you want to shot again pictures with the normal release button of the camera you see in the display at top of the camera in the option "drive" the remote icon. if you want to make a picture, the camera make a picture in a "2 second delay". So you have to choose in the drive mode at top, again the normal one shoot option. I have also the bleutoot remote and every time when i want to go back for "normal" use to make a picture with the canon release button i "must" return the drive mode to "single"! and any time when yoy want to switch from normal use to live pictures of video mode u must make the choice of the drive i the remote icon! I have the Canon 90D and this remote so every time when i swich to live vieuw foto or video you must make the choise in the drive mode to remote or via the Q button.
Yes if you are shooting with the remote you would change the drive mode to remote (2 Sec Delay) option but if you want to stop using remote shooting you will need to change the drive mode back to single or whatever function you want to use.

Thanks for the question, It requires for a power zoom adapter to be attached to the lens. The Power Zoom Adapter is a lens accessory that is sold separately unfortunately. There is one by Canon, PZ-E1 but it seems to only be compatible with the 18 - 135 mm nano lens
I dont get The high speed burst mode to Work with BR-E1 and 90D. The remote controller Works only when The drive mode is on "self-timer:2-sec/remote" mode and then you only get one picture at a Time (one Button press on remote)

Hi, thanks for watching the video. No there is no way to turn it off. When you are done and you switch the camera off it cuts off the bluetooth connection and sits in standby.
Hi, thanks for watching and yes there is however it requires for a power zoom adapter to be attached to the lens. The Power Zoom Adapter is a lens accessory that is sold separately unfortunately.
Thank you, @@DomsMediaZone, for the clear up! 👌🏽 I had thought that I was connecting the remote wrong, or that it was just not possible with my canon 90d... because the zoom on the wireless remote work with my canon g7x mark iii; be it in video or photo mode. It's un fortunate that it isn't the case with the canon 90d, but I'll go looking for a power zoom adapter: any recommendations? 😄
@@elma_gnt Glad to clear it up, I haven't purchase a power zoom adapter yet so can't really recommend one. You can do that also. I suppose depends what type of photography you use it for. For example if you are taking a self portrait, it is easier to conceal the remote then a phone but both methods will work.
@@DomsMediaZone I did buy the remote control after all. I tried it to take long exposure water flow photo. But, I don't understand why it came out to be very blurry. It was a manual focus and everything was set right. I didn't use the auto focus. Do you know why blurry?
