Get you some reflective tape and put it on your floats. You know, like you do the tips of your poles. I use the trailer reflective tape(red and white) cut in strips for my big floats. They shine like a new dollar with any amount of light. Great video as always, have fun with the new boat.

I made my slip bobbers out of 5" diameter styrofoam balls (ebay) Ran a hot straight coat hanger through the middle followed by the tubes out of empty spray bottles (like windex) anchored in place with hot glue. If a may suggest a great addition to the bow of your boat, that would be a brush anchor. They are very handy when river fishing. The more the current, tighter they squeeze. (Also available on ebay for @ 16 bucks. Really enjoy you videos, you have taught me a great deal...... thanks so much.
Hey cool idea man about the little tube. We scuffed a power bait bottle and put a glow stick in it. That shows up too. Just run the little tube outside the bottle. I think yours is better idea.

Dave, I liked the smile when you landed the first flathead. Priceless! I have a suggestion for better sound quality though. As budget allows, get yourself a wireless mic for your camera. The whole sound dynamic changes significantly when your camera is static in the bow and you are fishing in the stearn.

When you float fish in flathead territory how do you keep from getting largemouth bass? We use similar tactics and live bait except I am after largemouth not catfish.. I use a balloon for a float (obviously not a slip float). I have hooked catfish but it is rare.

You ever hook 'em through the eyes? Hook 'em in front of their eyeball (above the nostrils). In the back of the eyeball & they'll die. Not as easy to lose bait if they're hooked through the skull.

It’s probably not your kind fishing but how bout some pond fishing for catfish,I have a very good bypass pond that gives up some good channel catfish up to 15# but some days I can’t get bite , I’ve tried cut bait night crawlers chicken liver beef liver and the strawberry chicken and nothing, help , lol.

Would love your thoughts on flathead tactics for a river with strong current. Even out slack water has good current
I used to go crazy and do a checkered or striped pattern on quite small floats but all you need is one thin stripe. Wallymart or Homedepot cheaper.

if the noise from live well is air coming out you might get a aquarium air stone which is really quiet.
I run one from Walmart minnow bucket with half battery still works and low noise. I don't know it should be enough air with two batteries
