When I lived in San Diego, I used to watch these people every week. I remember when the young man in the blue t-shirt was about 12 and the older couple just started. It's a great group.
They're so good I love watching people dancing roller skates I roller skate but I'm nowhere near as good as them I get nervous still I feel more comfortable going backwards and frontwards they're amazing
My favorite video capturing grooves and moves from an old art. Myself, I skated for 6 years every weekend in Hanau/Germany when we used have lots of military bases back home (87-93). Lot of great memories. Still have my skates and dance her&there but the rings are pretty much gone. The group shown is an awesome mix of people I recognize as characters I got to know in old days Hanau. A girl I knew from Hanau I meat again in Huntsville, AL a few years ago - on a ring. For skaters, the world is a village.
This video inspired me to start learning to dance on skates. I've been at it for a year now! I can do a lot of the stuff in here. It's every bit as fun as it looks!

People have been rollerskating at Mission Beach since forever, or so it seems. It was definitely a thing when I lived there in the late 70s. Good times.

We have an indoor roller skating rink in Oakville Ontario Canada called scooters and I think either Saturday or Sunday night they have this roller skating dancing it's amazing I went once I loved watching but there is no way I could get out on that floor

You all b jammin'. I wish I was out there in Cali doin' that. I live in Michigan. All we have is cold, gloomy weather 9 mos of the year. When its summer it gets hot n humid. And just like r roads the sidewalks suck to skate on. Got to watch every step
Right around 5:05 there is one black guy and then one white guy who each perform this lay-back move that looks dangerous but amazing, ending in both feet off the ground while the hands support from the ground. I am in shock. So cool. what a move!!
