I really like these new trains even though I’m from the Uk but watching these videos makes me want to go to the U.S. and see these trains when they have rolled out into service, in terms of the Horn, it sounds very European and I think the reason for it because the manufacturers are from Europe and are making a similar Unit for France, I also think that the reason for the horn is it fits well with the look of the train, I think it would look silly if it had the traditional American train horn.
Its made and designed by alstom its the US variant of the New tgv Avelia horizon who will run in France in 2020 i think but it's actually a european train or a french train
You guys should be happy that France offered something good. Cant you guys understand that we are being made fun of other countries because of how bad our railways are? We are the only country that has everything different from other countries. Give it a chance and try something new.

the avelia liberty (2nd gen acela) was made off of the TGV i think

I was a locomotive engineer for amtrak for 10 years before going to Metro North. I still have friends at amtrak that gave me the heads up
