Earlier this morning CSX Q701 coming down from Selkirk had some issues traversing Metro North’s Hudson line because a car in the consist developed 6 inch flat spots. It helped break the rail in 2 locations. The south end of the train continued to Oak Point yard in the Bronx. I finally caught the m9s running down the main line at Westbury station on the first day of full service returning. As you can see, the bridge that is in this shot is ready for the upcoming 3rd track project.

Not 100% sure if you're still an engineer for metro north...But if you are, did you happen to see two train buffs at Riverdale on Saturday?
SEPTA offered a contract with ADTranz for new trains on the Market-Frankford Line. Their request was accepted. And SEPTA ordered 220 new M4 subway cars. Numbered 1001-1220. There were also the 3rd trains to be built in married pairs.
