I use Verdigris Greatshield(better Stab for more poke)+Queelign's Greatsword(Infused with Poison+Bleed/Frost+Bleed, but any poke weapon will do fine); for talisman I have Greatshield Talisman, Dragoncrest Shield Talisman and Pearlshield Talisman, last one is up to you(more holy/magic res if needed); for armor set just use whatver that gives the highest amount of magic and holy res, then just poke away
Thanks. I had just changed to a dex build a bit before the boss and wasn't even close to beating him. This build made it easy. The only things I did differently were using rot pots and summoning mimic only at the start of the second phase.
This was the build that finally worked for me. Some of the other “cheese” build like perfume bottles and impenetrable thorns were effective at damage but relied too much on RNG and just weren’t working for me. This one was soooo much easier. Not flashy in terms of damage but safe and effective. I beat him in 3 attempts. I couldn’t believe how much easier the fingerprint shield made the fight. Shield poking truly is OP.
This is 100% an RNG-dependent method. It took me 6 hours for my mimic not to die in the middle of the second phase. I would bait Radhan, play perfect defense, save my mimic from getting hit while not getting hit myself, go into the second phase with 13 flasks, my mimic with 90% health, only for him to forget about the blood magic, trying to poke Radhan from up close and getting hit by every single magic from Miquella. As soon as he died, there was nothing i could do considering the slowness of the weapon and the fact that blocking in the second phase still gets you hit and you have almost no window to counter strike. Had i known this had absolutely no dependance on skill and 100% on the RNG Gods, i would have rather spent a couple of hours on trying to learn him and solo him, i beat every boss solo/quality build but i got so burned out by the DLC i just wanted it to be done with it. I'm glad it's over.
Radahn be the kind of boss that you beat once or twice, then will probably ignore in all other playthroughs because it just feels like a waste of time, or "yeah, would have to respec again for that instead of enjoying the weird build that worked through the whole dlc". Still, am curious to try this one out though, defeated him using other kinds of "cheese", but none as effective as this here.
@@genogrant5478 to you maybe, but for those who may not have the time to sit there for 12 hours straight dying constantly, they may want an easier solution. Let people play how they want.
The problem for me is that I am on ng+4 and over level 350. Strength, dexterity, and faith are my build. Not only is he the hardest boss I have fought, but he's insanely broken in his 2nd phase. He makes the crucible knights look like amateurs.
If there's any int/fai build out there who dont want to respec, you can use impenetrable thorns sorcery to bleed him out, the bleed effect increases with arcane stats but it isn't necessary (I only had 10 points in arcane and did just fine). Granted it's harder than the shield method and you actually have to dodge his attacks but it still works and may save you a larval tear. Good luck.
Ooooh hate to say it there is a much easier cheese then the spare/shield reaping crossbow and a great shield dose wonder with rot bots and blood loss bots plus mimic tear boom

Yes, it goes against the whole point of the game being a RPG, I can accept the difficulty of the rest of the DLC, but they should nerf the final boss
Every single boss backs off even for a few seconds. This isn't game design, it's a barrage with 1 or 2 build types that will survive it.
