If you already have Yelan and or Zhongli. The Hu Tao banner gives you an original version 1 top team that's still relevant. It's a really good banner. I won't be wishing because I've already completed my double hydro Hu Tao team. It's still my best boss killing team and I'm missing a handful of characters (Have all Cryo, Missing Childe for Hydro, All Geo, The best of Electro and Anemo, missing Baizhu for dendro).
Has Mtash ever played on an account with a c1 Hu Tao? It's insanely fun, destroyed any joy I get from playing the other melee characters. Charge Attack->Dodge for the dual purpose to dodge and animation cancel feels so satisfying. Funerational Hu Tao on field with three characters that do off field burst damage is so visually appealing.
He did say it's only his personal preference that it's boring but it isn't for everyone. I have ganyu, and I can say her play style is boring but she does hit like a truck and my ganyu is top 12% worldwide.

I'm so glad you touch on not needing consts because I've always been the type to just get as many characters as I can vs rolling the same characters over and over again. Yeah I don't do the most damage, but I'm a F2P player and I like variety.
I've been incredibly lucky this year and been getting a lot of 5-star cons by accident. They may not be "necessary" but do add more convenience and make the play experience smoother. Can't complain.

As someone who's returning to the game (110 days played only on the acc, about 3 and a half month old account), yes this is def a god banner. While I have the god unit 4 stars alr (Bennet, XQ, Xiang, Sucrose) I do not have Fischl nor Diona. Diona is one of the healers that my acc is gonna need and Fischl for taser (I have beidou C2 but not built yet). To add, obviously since I have only 3 months of account playtime i dont have much constellations for the top tier 4* and this is definitely gonna propel my XQ if I get copies. Hyped for the banner for sure.
I really don't need a third homa, but i agree this banner is great for new players. And old players. Extra starglitter = more wishes = more pity for Furina and future characters. And lucky C1s are great for both HuTao and Neuvilette.
I’m at that stage where I’m at high pity and guaranteed. I would go for C1 Hu Tao if it was a 50/50 but I would rather save my guaranteed for someone I really wanted. Waiting for Arlecchino but I heard she won’t be coming for a long time. 😓
@@henryhe5945Idk how many wishes you have but if you really like hu tao and are saving for furina, there is enough time to get both from this point even if you have 0 wishes. I would only recommend C1 if you really care about playing her on a higher level tho like dash cancels.
@@shi-chan5779 I’ve had Hu Tao since her first banner and have never played her properly (with jump cancels) and she still destroys abyss, so I don’t care too much about the damage increase from being able to dash cancel with no stamina penalty, but it would be nice to have her C1. I just don’t like the idea of using a guaranteed on a constellation. Maybe I’m just a little stuck in my ways.
I may actually build Fischl now with that new Fontaine set. Seems like fun especially with the new leaks of Furina kit. May try a new Pokémon summons comp with Kokomi and Xiangling.
Honestly Hu Tao is the only 5 star character in the entire game where I really want a constellation. Like C1 adds so much to the fun factor it's worth having 1 less 5 star character. However I'll wait for a rerun cause I need Neuv, Furina, and Knave lmao

Let's be honest the banner 4* are crazy cuz Hu Tao is back. The last time Xinqiu was back was on the last Hu Tao rerun. And the 4* on that banner were pretty decent as well. Except Ningguang i guess. Xinqiu apparently will always be glued to Hu Tao banners now.
I just started Genshin. The first account I made (my star rail email) I pulled Neuv in 9 pulls. A couple genshin veterans told me he’s not great for new accounts because I won’t be able to ascend him. So I picked up an old account from 2020 that I dropped at AR7, login and get Hu Tao on pull 20 and Jean 1 pull later, yet I still feel awful leaving Neuv behind. I loved his gameplay.
lol i know that feeling, i started with ayaka and couldnt begin ascend her till i got all the way to inazuma, sucked so bad. But now I get to use my ayaka, I just used traveller and whatever else i got.

Eh... sure. I just don't like shielders and healers. The sole reason I use both is not for the shield, but actually for the battery from Diona provides and the RES Shred from Zhongli. Otherwise, I wouldn't even bother using them over Bennett or any other character that actually buffs dmg. Diona is great for new players, though!
I’m so annoyed because we’ve finally got good 4 stars on a banner but I got a double while pulling for zhongli (got zhongli then keqing right after in the same 10 pull) which means im guaranteed again, I’ve never been this lucky and I want to save my guaranteed for a character I actually want but i want these 4 stars so bad, im ar55 and still don’t have a single fischl on my account and I also want xingqiu cons but I can’t risk getting a 5 star😭😭

with furina around, you can now make the archon-idle powerhouse: shield up with zhongli skill with raiden hold skill with nahida [leaks ahead] and ousia-mode and skill with furina

If you don't know who of the two to get then go for Hu Tao. She has always been the #1 pyro dps unit and that won't be changing any time soon or never even. Just note that Hu Tao may not come back for a while while Neuvillette will get a rerun withing 5 months at most.

i have been playing for 1+ year... i already have c6 xingqiu, xiangling, fischl, sucrose, c5 bennett... i dont think i will ever care about 4* characters unless they can match these characters lvl... from the very start i wished my wish and starglitter to hunt down these char to c6... now i can focus on 5 stars and not care about 4 stars in banner... i think its better to focus on these 4* characters... bcoz it doesnt take long to c6 them... if you can invest properly...then you will have a strong core and can fit any 5* in a team...
gonna add some info: if you're planning to have hu tao, you should learn her technique on how to use her, (her CA cancel) also you have to master dodge in the game if you're shielder sucks and not to rely on healing

So know that I say this as well-intentioned constructive criticism: it would enhance the value of these banner review videos if you did a little more research on the things you’re not familiar with. For example, you couldn’t comment on Nuevillette’s weapon. It wouldn’t take that long to look up what the weapon does, or find a Reddit thread (or theory crafting video) talking about it. As a note, it is insanely better than his other options. We’re talking more than 20% better than most other weapons. Additionally, this weapon banner features our first 4* HP% sword! That’s huge for Layla, Kirara, and Nilou players. Taking a bit more time to find out the value of certain things would make the video more compelling since most of the commentary is on old units or weapons. With this knowledge, it becomes clear that this is one of the best weapon banners (top 3?) of all time in terms of value for the on-banner characters. I still agree that F2Ps should be extremely wary of ever pulling on the weapon banner, but weapons like these can make characters feel SO much better and more powerful. Of course, you probably have other priorities which take up time, making it harder to fit in extra research, but I think it would make these videos that much more informative and timely. Take care.
Tempted for C1 Hu Tao but I feel like C0 is fine. I run her with Yelan, Xingqiu, Zhongli so I don’t need to worry about stamina. Also jump cancel works pretty well. Maybe if C1 increased damage but personally I feel like 87-100k charged are fine as is. I don’t have a hydro dps so I would rather a new team. Plus Raiden hypercarry and Wanderer hypercarry already clear abyss.
@@aurora8834 I ended up getting Neuv and he’s really fun. Definitely not as strong as Hu Tao or any of my other dps characters but his playstyle is so unique. So if you can already clear abyss get him. If not then maybe save up. But its up to you. I wish you luck on pulling!

As an AR60 player I cannot recommend for newer players to go for Hu Tao. She is essentially an OP single target DPS character. But the hyperbloom reaction exist. It needs much less vertical investment than Hu Tao and is literally if you have Xingqiu the other 3 units can be dendro traveler lisa and barbara. If someone really really want to roll for one of those Neuvillette is a much better option.
I still can't decide -- I'm months in, though and AR 45+ so idk about "new" I was told during 4.0 that bc I got Yelan, I should get Hu Tao I did lunatic pulls in 4.0 and got Lyney, Yelan, Zhongli so I have no saved primos -- Saving for...Furina?? Archons. So it's like... Aaaa?! Plus Staff of Homa is up and that's a famous weapon, but everyone says the weapon banner is a scam , but it's _Homa_ I figure maybe I'll...skip?? 4.1 for focus on Homa (nvm he just said always avoid) I can't decide on anyone rn across 4.2-4.4 (leaks) either I'm rambling. TL,DR; I haven't been able to decide on _anyone_ from 4.1-4.4 at all and I'm broke so I _need_ to skip a banner/version somewhere; and I'm not quite new in levels (though I'm way behind story-wise).
@@jasmine9581 Saving for the upcoming archon is never a bad decision. Although Furina does want to be played with other fontanian characters. Pulling on the weapon banner is not a scam most ppl just do it wrong. You shouldn't roll for the 5star weapon(s) you should roll on it for the good 4stars and if you don't mind getting either of the 5stars. Homa is about 20% dmg increase to her personal dmg which translates to about 11(ish)% dmg increase overall. It is good but it's nowhere near a nessecity.
I am f2p and i am on guaranteed pity (about 14 pity on character and 0 pity on weapon banner) but ya i will try to get those new 4-star weapon and also need xingui cons i have just c2. but i am going for hydro archon.
Furina's abilities were leaked yesterday 🤫 she can potentially turn into a hypercarry DPS at C2... her normal attacks can do something unlike any other character in the game... and she can sort of heal teammates even though she drains their HP to boost damage 😅 there is more but I've said Enough. She will definitely be a better choice than chief Justice
I heard that this banner would probably slap and i do want neuvillette but i really wanted zongli I know he is a dps loss in most cases but that ult ... so even tho is banner is terrible this time I had to get him and lost 50/50 so it was 140 or more to get him I whis i had more pulls cause I still dont have c6 xinque and wanted to see if i get lucky on the weapon banner since I plan on getting neuvillete if not now on his rerun and i use xiao a lot also wanto to put homa on zongli and make him dps XD great banners overall at least for me
As someone who saved 28k and got Hu Tao, Neuvillete, and Deyha. Along with Wolves, Gravestone, Staff of Homa, and Tome of the Eternal Flow. With 3k primos left over. This banner did me a solid! 👌🏾
Also if your F2P you have to weight if you want Furina or not. If so pulling now might hamper your pulls on Furina. Would suck for them to release Furina right after you blow all your gems here.
I have 112 pulls after draining my sanity by 100%ing every location with the interactive map (almost true 100%) and in 2-3 10 pulls i will have a guaranteed Neuvillette after losing to Jean. I don't know if i should pull on his weapon (Ik the weapon banner is a scam but still, we have the staff of homa on there as well) or pull Hu Tao as i also want to save for Nahida on her 4.4 banner as it won't be a guaranteed. Being F2P is a pain.
He is mostly refering to him just CAing without doing anything else and being onfield for very long. Compared to something very quickswappy like Keqing or Tighnari teams and the difference is very obvious.
I don't want the 5 stars but I need xingqiu and fischl as I have started the game a month earlier. D I'm already 23 wishes in, how many wishes is optimal without getting the 5 star. Also even if I don't want neither Neu or Hu which one would be better in terms of creating more teams and versatality for my account?
The thing is, even though on average, players get a 5* at wish #77, you could get one at any time. It's a risk. The 4* characters are awesome, so I think I will wish for Neuvillette and hope to get some of the 4* constellations. As with any banner, play the trial runs to see what you think of the characters before pulling.
Hopefully, wriothsley will have good 4 stars, too, since he also technically is part of the anniversary. I have 182 wishes saved up for him, and hopefully, i get extremely lucky and get him twice
i recently used all my 80 wishes for zhongli but got lost to diluc and still used my 50 wishes hoping to still get him but no. i thought i'm gonna reach at least 30 more wishes but i failed in the past i wanted hu tao but i changed my mind for ayaka so i planned to not wish after all this pain but after knowing the 4 star characters next banner i don't know what to do because i want to have them all maybe i should just get hu tao (i'm a bit reluctant because i already have yanfei as my pyro dps and does a considerably good amount of damage as ar 50 with small artifact investment)
You should probably take the time to build up wishes and use that guarentee for hydro archon. Hydro is like one of the best element and she an archon so she will be good and shes will be a support character that will be used in a ton of teams. Also you don't seem to want hu tao much so just stay patient. If you save now not only will you get a much more useful character you'll have wishes left for another character you want. Also you can get xinqu and fisichle from the shop, which xinqu is on there right now before this month ends.
I wanted to have hu tao, but I like playing lyney a lot in the moment so I will skip. it doesnt make sense to pull for her if you are enjoying an other pyro unit in the moment, in my opinion. I am sure I will not regret it unless she will not have a banner for two years. 😅

Not a fan of Hu Tao's gameplay and im not sure about Neuvillette until i try him out so i might be holding out until Wriothesley (need more Cryo) or Furina (because Archon, nuff said)

In my opinion not worth it, better get good constelations in good characters and weapons, like c2 nahida n weapon, c1 hutao n homa, c2 yelan n aqua, kazuha c2 n weapon, raiden c2 n weapon, furina c2 n weapon etc.... genshin will always powercreepe to sell more characters...
Im at 60 pity guarenteed with 15 pulls. I have hutao so I am going for Neuvillette. And then im going to wish on the weapon banner. I have lost in the past so it is guarenteed to be one of them so then i have a chance to get one or the others signature weapon
Great line up but i have C6 of all the 4 stars on the banner, I could use a extra homa for sure but kinda a bad time to pull for one. Still saving for ayato, possibly use my 100% on the hydro archon. Full skip for me, maybe C3 raiden and C6 sara down the line.
well in the last hutao/yelan rerun I took a gamble and spent my wishes to get the homa, i got it in 70 pulls and my xiao has been godly since then! Its so lucky, it was a gamble after all, one that if I did not win would crush my f2p account :)
I just started playing last week and currently still in liyue. I need a better main dps (currently using Freminet from zhongli banner). Should I pull for nouvilette even tho I dont have access to fontaine or just pull for hutao because I can build her sooner?
In 3.6 I tried to snipe Xiphos EM Sword for my Kuki/Kazuha... Started pulling for the Weapon for the first time It turned Gold.....now I have this HP% sword just staring at me. Hopefully Furina could use this in the future.
Key is really good on EM kuki. The more Hp the more healing and the passive gives you more than enough EM too. Plus its easy to stack, furina is also gonna love lt. Not to mention Key also gives other members Em which is so nice.

Same, been playing since 1.0 and have every four star released in 1.0 - 2.0 at c6. Yet my Kuki and Kujou Sara are low con because it's so hard to get these characters high con lol. Not to mention 3.0 characters (only have c6 of Layla and that's because she was given out for free twice)
So I got primordial jade winged spear, which will work with hu tao ( one month since playing) saved 112 wishes with 40 pity right now, also got yelan, this banner will give me everything i need

Both need a shielder and diona is a shielder. And fishl will probaly be his best subdps(after furina).
If you pulled Yelan and Zhongli this 4.0, getting Hu Tao with a bit of Xingqui already completed a top abyss team

Diona is one of the healers that my acc is gonna need and Fischl for taser (I have beidou C2 but not built yet). To add, obviously since I have only 3 months of account playtime i dont have much constellations for the top tier 4* and this is definitely gonna propel my XQ if I get copies.

And old players. Extra starglitter = more wishes = more pity for Furina and future characters.

I would only recommend C1 if you really care about playing her on a higher level tho like dash cancels.
@@shi-chan5779 I’ve had Hu Tao since her first banner and have never played her properly (with jump cancels) and she still destroys abyss, so I don’t care too much about the damage increase from being able to dash cancel with no stamina penalty, but it would be nice to have her C1. I just don’t like the idea of using a guaranteed on a constellation. Maybe I’m just a little stuck in my ways.

I may actually build Fischl now with that new Fontaine set. Seems like fun especially with the new leaks of Furina kit. May try a new Pokémon summons comp with Kokomi and Xiangling.

Honestly Hu Tao is the only 5 star character in the entire game where I really want a constellation. Like C1 adds so much to the fun factor it's worth having 1 less 5 star character. However I'll wait for a rerun cause I need Neuv, Furina, and Knave lmao

Let's be honest the banner 4* are crazy cuz Hu Tao is back. The last time Xinqiu was back was on the last Hu Tao rerun. And the 4* on that banner were pretty decent as well. Except Ningguang i guess. Xinqiu apparently will always be glued to Hu Tao banners now.

I just started Genshin. The first account I made (my star rail email) I pulled Neuv in 9 pulls. A couple genshin veterans told me he’s not great for new accounts because I won’t be able to ascend him. So I picked up an old account from 2020 that I dropped at AR7, login and get Hu Tao on pull 20 and Jean 1 pull later, yet I still feel awful leaving Neuv behind. I loved his gameplay.
lol i know that feeling, i started with ayaka and couldnt begin ascend her till i got all the way to inazuma, sucked so bad. But now I get to use my ayaka, I just used traveller and whatever else i got.

Eh... sure. I just don't like shielders and healers. The sole reason I use both is not for the shield, but actually for the battery from Diona provides and the RES Shred from Zhongli. Otherwise, I wouldn't even bother using them over Bennett or any other character that actually buffs dmg.
Diona is great for new players, though!

This is one of the best overall banners in recent memory.
If you don't know who of the two to get then go for Hu Tao. She has always been the #1 pyro dps unit and that won't be changing any time soon or never even. Just note that Hu Tao may not come back for a while while Neuvillette will get a rerun withing 5 months at most.

i have been playing for 1+ year... i already have c6 xingqiu, xiangling, fischl, sucrose, c5 bennett... i dont think i will ever care about 4* characters unless they can match these characters lvl... from the very start i wished my wish and starglitter to hunt down these char to c6... now i can focus on 5 stars and not care about 4 stars in banner... i think its better to focus on these 4* characters... bcoz it doesnt take long to c6 them... if you can invest properly...then you will have a strong core and can fit any 5* in a team...

if you're planning to have hu tao, you should learn her technique on how to use her, (her CA cancel) also you have to master dodge in the game if you're shielder sucks and not to rely on healing

So know that I say this as well-intentioned constructive criticism: it would enhance the value of these banner review videos if you did a little more research on the things you’re not familiar with. For example, you couldn’t comment on Nuevillette’s weapon. It wouldn’t take that long to look up what the weapon does, or find a Reddit thread (or theory crafting video) talking about it. As a note, it is insanely better than his other options. We’re talking more than 20% better than most other weapons. Additionally, this weapon banner features our first 4* HP% sword! That’s huge for Layla, Kirara, and Nilou players. Taking a bit more time to find out the value of certain things would make the video more compelling since most of the commentary is on old units or weapons. With this knowledge, it becomes clear that this is one of the best weapon banners (top 3?) of all time in terms of value for the on-banner characters. I still agree that F2Ps should be extremely wary of ever pulling on the weapon banner, but weapons like these can make characters feel SO much better and more powerful. Of course, you probably have other priorities which take up time, making it harder to fit in extra research, but I think it would make these videos that much more informative and timely. Take care.
Tempted for C1 Hu Tao but I feel like C0 is fine. I run her with Yelan, Xingqiu, Zhongli so I don’t need to worry about stamina. Also jump cancel works pretty well. Maybe if C1 increased damage but personally I feel like 87-100k charged are fine as is. I don’t have a hydro dps so I would rather a new team. Plus Raiden hypercarry and Wanderer hypercarry already clear abyss.

@@aurora8834 I ended up getting Neuv and he’s really fun. Definitely not as strong as Hu Tao or any of my other dps characters but his playstyle is so unique. So if you can already clear abyss get him. If not then maybe save up. But its up to you. I wish you luck on pulling!

As an AR60 player I cannot recommend for newer players to go for Hu Tao. She is essentially an OP single target DPS character.
But the hyperbloom reaction exist. It needs much less vertical investment than Hu Tao and is literally if you have Xingqiu the other 3 units can be dendro traveler lisa and barbara.
If someone really really want to roll for one of those Neuvillette is a much better option.

Pulling on the weapon banner is not a scam most ppl just do it wrong. You shouldn't roll for the 5star weapon(s) you should roll on it for the good 4stars and if you don't mind getting either of the 5stars.
Homa is about 20% dmg increase to her personal dmg which translates to about 11(ish)% dmg increase overall. It is good but it's nowhere near a nessecity.
I am f2p and i am on guaranteed pity (about 14 pity on character and 0 pity on weapon banner) but ya i will try to get those new 4-star weapon and also need xingui cons i have just c2. but i am going for hydro archon.

Furina's abilities were leaked yesterday 🤫 she can potentially turn into a hypercarry DPS at C2... her normal attacks can do something unlike any other character in the game... and she can sort of heal teammates even though she drains their HP to boost damage 😅 there is more but I've said Enough. She will definitely be a better choice than chief Justice
they have very good synergy between them. You can get them both and use them together

When i saw fischl and xingqui, immediately told my newbie banner to pull for the 4star.
I heard that this banner would probably slap and i do want neuvillette but i really wanted zongli I know he is a dps loss in most cases but that ult ... so even tho is banner is terrible this time I had to get him and lost 50/50 so it was 140 or more to get him I whis i had more pulls cause I still dont have c6 xinque and wanted to see if i get lucky on the weapon banner since I plan on getting neuvillete if not now on his rerun and i use xiao a lot also wanto to put homa on zongli and make him dps XD great banners overall at least for me

I have 112 pulls after draining my sanity by 100%ing every location with the interactive map (almost true 100%) and in 2-3 10 pulls i will have a guaranteed Neuvillette after losing to Jean. I don't know if i should pull on his weapon (Ik the weapon banner is a scam but still, we have the staff of homa on there as well) or pull Hu Tao as i also want to save for Nahida on her 4.4 banner as it won't be a guaranteed. Being F2P is a pain.

He is mostly refering to him just CAing without doing anything else and being onfield for very long. Compared to something very quickswappy like Keqing or Tighnari teams and the difference is very obvious.

I'm already 23 wishes in, how many wishes is optimal without getting the 5 star. Also even if I don't want neither Neu or Hu which one would be better in terms of creating more teams and versatality for my account?
The thing is, even though on average, players get a 5* at wish #77, you could get one at any time. It's a risk. The 4* characters are awesome, so I think I will wish for Neuvillette and hope to get some of the 4* constellations. As with any banner, play the trial runs to see what you think of the characters before pulling.
Hopefully, wriothsley will have good 4 stars, too, since he also technically is part of the anniversary. I have 182 wishes saved up for him, and hopefully, i get extremely lucky and get him twice

You should probably take the time to build up wishes and use that guarentee for hydro archon. Hydro is like one of the best element and she an archon so she will be good and shes will be a support character that will be used in a ton of teams. Also you don't seem to want hu tao much so just stay patient. If you save now not only will you get a much more useful character you'll have wishes left for another character you want.
Also you can get xinqu and fisichle from the shop, which xinqu is on there right now before this month ends.
I wanted to have hu tao, but I like playing lyney a lot in the moment so I will skip. it doesnt make sense to pull for her if you are enjoying an other pyro unit in the moment, in my opinion. I am sure I will not regret it unless she will not have a banner for two years. 😅

Finally a 4* sword for Nilou also diona still works as a shielder for hu tao if you don't have zhongli,

Great line up but i have C6 of all the 4 stars on the banner, I could use a extra homa for sure but kinda a bad time to pull for one. Still saving for ayato, possibly use my 100% on the hydro archon. Full skip for me, maybe C3 raiden and C6 sara down the line.

well in the last hutao/yelan rerun I took a gamble and spent my wishes to get the homa, i got it in 70 pulls and my xiao has been godly since then! Its so lucky, it was a gamble after all, one that if I did not win would crush my f2p account :)

Key is really good on EM kuki.
The more Hp the more healing and the passive gives you more than enough EM too.
