He is wayyy more reliant on c1 than than hu tao( She is pretty much still a complete unit at c0). Just feels like they just locked some of his kit behind his c1 and delivered and us an incomplete character at c0 feels like Faruzan all over again but with a 5* this time. Now I understand where the leaks of him actually being a standard banner character was coming from.
hoyo is starting to balance the game around 5 stars needing c1 or r1 (because a lot of ftp don't go for them). they also realized that most endgame players have really well built chars and as the character roster is increasing, they want the new ones to have a bit more of an edge besides the whole "abyss is catered to the new 5 star." you can notice from Lyney and neuvillette, they aren't traditional hypercarries in the sense that you would just add Xq or yelan to the teams, which i think is good because they've been like top 3 since dendro released lmao
Small thing to note. No, his skill does not give any damage bonus to his charged attack. Second thing to note, the bonus damage offered by the passive is a straight up damage multiplier. It's MASSIVE for that c1. It is the difference of doing 40k and doing 80k damage for c0 vs c1 It's also worth noting that his c1 alone puts him into the top end of dps, comparable with c2 Raiden shogun for outright damage, and this character's charged attacks can easily see 100-200k melt procs at c1, potentially 300k+ with extremely good supports, inside of the spiral abyss floor 12. It's note the same as hutao c1, her c1 is a dps increase but only marginally. This c1 for Wriothesley is so important that it's almost mandatory. Against bosses like Raiden Shogun or others that have negative resistance phases expect to see clips of Wriothesley hitting for 500-900k at c0-c1

I agree, after pulling for his c1, as a f2p, I can already say its worth it to stop there, it's manageable cause his c1 is his best cons for me! I dont have his weapon but have widsith r5 and i manage to hit 150-200k ca melt with the right buffs, if i compare it with c1 ganyu, wrio is more comfortable, easier, and hits harder
It is sad that wriothesley potential is locked on cons and if u don't have it, His playstyle is harder... But i am happy it is manageable for us f2p players to reach it
i think mihoyo is transitioning to power creeping characters by making c1 op. since there’s too many characters in genshin now the only way they can powercreep/make people buy characters is obviously design and functionality. sales would b low if the characters were bad at start and so by making them op on c1 it would give incentives for people to pull more which would balance out the people that aren’t pulling
I was only going to get one rizzly but managed to win a 50-50 when going for C1 . The difference in strength was really huge when he went from hitting 30k to 90k for me with bad artifacts in that melt comp . I'm so glad i got his constellation but it's truly sad that his true potential is locked behind his C1

There's a vídeo of Wriothesley at c0 solo vs abyss... Is not the constelation only it's a mix of a lot of things what make good a character. Wriothesley is broken, op, one army man too like Neuvilleeto not at the same level maybe but yes it is.

I've been grinding like a bitch, saving up 180 wishes to make sure I can get him. Then I straight up won 50/50 at 30 pity. I figured I'd get C1 since I was ready to spend it all anyways, and got that as well with 90 wishes to spare. This has been the best banner ever for me, ngl.
That outro is heartbreaking for me, as a loyal subscriber from Day 1 watching you almost hit 1M subs and fall down to 930K, I can't help but feel sad. Keep producing quality content, tips tricks, and reactions, you are the only person who is brutally honest in this game imo. If they just made it so his E buff doesn’t disappear when you’re below 50% HP he would feel so luch better . They could just give him absolute interruption resistance when above 50% but then none when he’s below that instead .

@@saadplays8214 keep in mind the atk% bonus on his sig is kinda meh, you can do x2 pyro for a similar increase, running him with atk buffers also decrease the relative effectiveness of the atk% etc
another straightforward honest review by the tashman. I would try and pull for him tho. I can already clear abyss with my units since 2 years ago I think. he looks very fun to play with.
Shenhe is his best partner in a team comp. C6 yunjin helps with atk speed to proc last basic atk faster. If you dont have his BiS weapon, C6 yunjin is your best choice Yeah rizzly is another C1 BiS weapon victim but C0 is alright as long as you have his best team comp (freeze or dps) such as kazuha and shenhe If you have C1 and R1 Robot catalyst, you can generally solo abyss with rizzly.
Or....just wait until 4.6 when Furina will likely rerun anyway and it ultimately won't matter because it's not like there's anything difficult content wise that you absolutely need another op support for right this minute.
C1 Wriothesley still easier to achieve than c6 Faruzan. I pulled for Nuev and don't want to risk missing out on Furina. I was gonna pull for Wrio instead but got baited on Neuv. So I'm skipping. Aesthetically and gameplay-wise he looks better than Nuev. Also less restrictive teams

Same, i sold my ayaka acc. Then got Wriothesley on my main+shenhe whos been benched for 7months 😅 then after getting him at 43pt 50/50 i got a 43.5 CV cryo cup ☺️✨ But i dont have a single mats for shenhe and him 🙂
Was saving for Furina, but decided to pull for Wriothesley instead. Got him c1 with r1 weapon, absolutely loving him. Need some better artifacts and he's gonna be a beast!
I did his trial run and in my opinion he was a bit clunky to play. I think melt is his best option but as soon as I read about the C1 changing how the entire passive works it killed the chance of me getting him. Having got neuvillette and really enjoying him, I'll be saving for someone else.
Thanks for info tashman, if C1 makes him more worthwhile I'll definitely wait for a re-run since I want other characters more from HSR and HI3rd right now. I'd rather use my guaranteed on Furina instead of wasting it for a C0 and gambling for a C1.
Been saving for him for awhile! I have 236 wishes atm and at 72 pity. I agree with everything you said but I am now focused on getting characters I want since I have teams for every reaction built out. I don't even mind going for cons on him especially with how much I have saved up
@pri2108 because every archon gets their first rerun 4-5 patches after they are release and i don't mind waiting for her rerun. Especially when I have been more excited about Wriothesley since he was revealed

After Maining Alahitham and Neuvillette He is little on the weaker side but I'm 100% sure the upcoming character's can save him, Like Furina with 100% buff or Cloud retainer with the healing that he needs, or maybe even if Arlechino is she got off field pyro application and stuff. My Expectation, Wrio,Shenhe,Furina and Cloud retainer or just Xiangling/Kazuha/Bennet will be a very strong team
If you already have other top Cryo DPS characters like Ganyu or Ayaka, then Wriothesley may end up being redundant. However, if you're lacking a Cryo DPS then he'll definitely be worth it, especially during the Fontaine versions where HP manipulation will be favourted by the current meta
Ganyu is boring af to play so i wont get her and i already have a well built ayaka but my meh build wriothesley already does same if not more dmg than her
I know he isn't the best, I managed to get lucky and get him at c1, but I mainly just pulled cause the melee punching looks so fun and it is for sure my favorite character in terms of combat style and feel
awesome! I just pulled Neuv and I was gonna skip Wrio but man the punches felt so fun in the trial run. I have Ayaka but I just dont like how she feels to play
I like ayaka myself (I enjoy her personally at least), but the punching was just to fun to pass up XD plus his attacks remind me of my main comic character I draw who punches with fire attacks instead of ice. @@trashbuilds8351
Technically neuv c1 is also a massive quality of life change, he gets interruption to resistance, and gives him one stack on his passive so he only need 2 elemental reaction (his team comp would make more sense, than running him with 3 other different elements) that's 2 of his biggest issue fixed. guess hoyoverse just trying to temp you to spend and get early cons to complete the characters😒
But with Neuvillette, his C0 doesn't really boost his dmg. It just makes life easier and open double hydro team. He will still deal tons of dmg at c0. But with Wriothesley it buff his dmg by a lot.
I using New Fontaine Craft weapon for him. He is also good in Reverse Melt Comps with Shenhe and I never try the Freeze comps for him reason he shattered the frozen enemy. Now I want to try Burn Vapor Melt For that character (Furina, Wriothesley, Baizhu and Xiangling) I think Wriothesley need healer that can maintain between 50% to 60% HP.
Splurged my F2P primos for his c1cuz I didn't like Ayaya's playstyle, and he's hot. I have no regrets, even if he gets powercreeped in the future. Mlem mlem.
I was able to grab his at C1 rather than go for C0R1. Have him at level 70 with all level 6 talents. So far he's doing 8-10k with his E, no reactions or buffs. Found my new main for a while! I'm actually having fun with a character for once again, last being Scara.
i’m stingy with my primos😂 so i decided to get Neuvillette bc he could be a one man team when built well due to his self healing ability and amazing uptime. plus he’s just so much fun to me and i love hydro characters! so yeah, i’m skipping Wriothesley, and i’m skipping Furina. i don’t like her much as a character but in time she may grow on me and maybe i’ll like the feel of her kit and possibly pull on her future rerun. the next character that i’m super interested in though is definitely Arlecchino. i hope she has a cool kit, i’d really love a new pyro character. all the ones in the game that are 5 stars just aren’t my cup of tea lol

easy fix for the hp lost; if you have baizhu use his skill attack (idk if that’s the right term) to heal about 2-4k health whenever wrio attacks.. baizhu skill allows you too only heal a little health at a time& if you just have a good rotation than you won’t have to worry about health because baizhu’s cd from his skill is like 3-5 seconds
Oh it's like Honkai Star Rail about the weapons, we're used to it. I've pulled him, I'm happy that I did farm his set since weeks. I almost have all the pieces. edit : I knew about the constellations but yeah... I wanted him. I skipped the previous banner even if it was better for my account.
Imo no character should be able to function well on their own without any cons. Same goes for Rizzley, all C1 gives him is better QoL and more damage. If you look at Neuvillette kits, his C1 provides him interruption resistance so he doesn't get knocked out of his CA. Also C1 allows him to do double hydro whereas C0 he needs a shielder and 3 different element type beside himself to proc the passive. C0 Rizzley is just fine at that. His constant dps is still as good at C0. While his C1 allows him to have more up time on field and bigger number on CA and also heals him for 2.5s instead of 5s while on E state. It's not that bad to play him at C0 tbh
Ballad of the Boundless blue is the best f2p weapon for him no cap, r5 gives him 16% x3 na and 12% x3 for charged, even more than his sig, and it's free to refine from event. Perfectly for Him
@@ceyx1201 ur head, em doesn't benefit wriostheley at all, only atk and elem dmg. The weapon boost his na ult to 48% and charged ult to 36%, it's literally bis 4 star for him. Why does er doesn't benefit him when he Oso need to burst for his dps? Plus 30% er is decent for his uptime, most impt he benefits more from it's passive
I find him good at C0 with the new freebie weapon or Widsth. I've been getting 36 stars in Abyss since Baizhu without having Kazuha, Yelan, blah blah etc. So at this point it doesn't matter about a character's damage or if needs C1 to fix issues. I can pull characters I simply enjoy and like. I have all my 'must haves' from Fontaine now. Back to saving unless I go for Chlorinde to complete the Fonteam trio.

Ngl I have to agree with you. I think what disappoints me the most is the fact that when Neuvillette came out he was an amazing dps, and his dmg output was insane. Wriothesley had so much hype building for him and its a little underwhelming. I never expected him to “break the meta” but I feel like hoyo did him dirty. He is the first official cryo catalyst so the hype was there, people were very excited and hopeful for him. And then Furina got announced. I know hoyo plans out their banner in advance, which is why he is the way he is. It feels like hoyo nerfed his so he wouldn’t outshine Furina/ make her an even better support for him and future characters. The difference in dmg between Wriothesley and Neuvillette is insane (I’m talking personal dmg) because comparing my semi built Wriothesley to my friends semi built Neuvillette, there is a stark difference. I was fortunate enough to pull c1 but as of writing this I have yet to activate that constellation for the sake of wanting to test how much its going to make a difference. I can already tell that his c1 is gonna make it a lot easier to manage his kit overall. And yes, there are other characters that have c1 as a game change, one of the examples you used was Hu Tao, and this is true. But his c1 improves his kit so much more then Hu Tao’s. I think meta wise as of now he’s not the strongest, but who know. Knowing hoyo the probably have a character lined up to boost him that will go well with his kit, but as of now it saddens me to say that I feel underwhelmed and a little disappointed. This whole blurb is talking about personal dmg without supports, I dont have Shenhe currently so I can say how much she can increase his dmg, but even with the supports I have they only help him so much
You're supposed to reverse melt with wriothesley. That's why he feels so underwhelming, because you're comparing the damage he puts by himself vs reverse melt damage. And yes, you could try vaporize with Neuvillette as well. Not the most orthodox thing, but the option's there. I've seen 80-120k vapes with him.
@@Sergmanny46 I’ve seen his reaction based damage (freeze, mono cryo, and reverse melt) and its not bad, but when you compare their person dmg Neuvillette is just better. I use my characters for multipurpose, whether it’s fighting bosses, doing spiral, creating new or random team comps, and playing in co op. I like playing in co op with new people and friends but he mainly benefits from having a support while playing him and you cant always have a support when playing in a full co op team. Also, I personally have a hard time with melt and reverse melt teams. I’ve watch videos about how reverse melt would work with Wriothesley and its a lot of technical play which is kinda hard on mobile. If you have the correct team built for him he will output a lot to damage but that means fully building him and his supports which is hard (the RNG for artifacts is terrible and for someone like me who hasn’t been playing as long as others I don’t have as many good artifacts for a whole team, lot of my characters share artifacts until I get better ones) not to mention his team comps see pretty limited at the moment but that will probably change with the release of new characters from Fontaine.
I am a unit collector, the way i operate for it is simple for me. Of i fail their 50/50 then i hold for next unit and await rerun, wish me luck. I do want him, but i also want Furina. I've done three multi so far since my last guarantee and it was two chongyun into finally my C6 Dori. Edit: the road to C6 everyone that isnt the freebie four stars outside Xiangling is painful
He's melee cryo version of Wanderer. He have same kit as him: elemental skill boost NA, and multi hit burst. Same play style. You need healer at c0, I tried Mika, and he works decently, but not enough (but then my Mika burst is only lvl6). You can skip his c4 with dash, so N3 dash N5 charge. I could squeeze one CA before have to rotate. At C0, he felt incomplete. Sigh. Tldr, just pull for Furina, Wrio is luxury pull.
This is the only casual game with no end game that streamer keep coming back. This proves that most ppl jus want to chill and enjoy gaming instead of streamer who work in gaming prefer hard content so that they can generate guide video.

Ive been so lucky with 5* cryo characters. Ive always gotten them early on a 50/50. Im debating going for him but I just feel hes not needed since I already have Ayaka and Shenhe with both their signature weapons. Update: I lost 50/50 about 35 pulls in and got Tighnari. Thought I start building pity for the archon and got him 6 pulls later. 🙃💀
at c0 his kit just doesn't make alot of sense to me. All of you combos are HP negative and you lose your passive buff when you hit 50% hp. So a rotation or 2 in you lose your passive buff for a few seconds of his on field time. So then you think, add a healer? nope, bc then you can't use his special charged attack. So c0 is like choose which mechinic you want to not function, his buff or his special charged attack. Regaurdless of how good he is that is just bad design.
My thoughts, Characters really do become better by unlocking their constellations, and this enhancement at C1 is already very generous of Hoyo. Imagine if they put that in C4. It is always up for the players to decide whether they want it or not. C0 is good already, like other 5 star Dpses such as Hu Tao, Raiden, Itto etc.. They work, they're fine. But like me, I had C0 Wrist for a week, cleared Spiral Abyss flr 12 easily, but I like more damage, so I got C1.
using him at c0r1 cashflow, with triple crowned talents. (melt team) after watching all the prerelease info about him, I was pretty disheartened about his kit and how he would perform, especially at c0. now that I have him - honestly really fun to play. can keep himself alive easily with his gracious rebuke, will make for fun solo battle challenges! his versatility is definitely something I really enjoy, I can't wait to try more team comps with him.
I don't have a Cryo dps yet except for Eula and other 4 stars. Should I pull him or wait for Furina? I didn't pull for Neuvillette though so I don't have a team for Furina yet.
His combo continuing after dash cancelling for me doesn't work well for me at high ping, Itto's works well for me though, I hope they fix it so it's as forgiving as Itto's combo continue. I have about 270 ping for reference.

You should definitely save for Furina, cause her rerun will be late, and also Furina is probably the best teammate for him besides Shenhe if you don't have her , people pull for Shenhe?

Things about "changing playstyle" for a 5 star character..usually happens at C6 innit..? (sussy info spoiler ---------------------------> I even heard Furina got her constellation changed..following this same pattern of C6 being the one changing playstyle) But yea..the likes of HuTao and Wriothesley..happened at earlier constellation.. (But even then..HuTao at least only stamina issue..while Wriothesley, unconditional healing+damage+extended skill duration)
I know Mtashed made the comparison to Hu Tao, but I think the more accurate comparison is Wriothesley's C1 is more like Ganyu/Xiao/Alhaitham's C6. Having Hu Tao's C1 doesn't inherently allow you to do more damage since it's still going to come down to you doing her new animation cancelling right.
Honestly, how Wriothesley & Itto by default doesn't cancel their Basic Attack sequences from using Dash or Elemental Skill while Diluc needs C6 to connect the sequences from his Skill, kinda sucks. About c0 Eula though, it's fortunate we can reset her back for the front tumble hack slash(Dash/Jump > Basic Atk 3x again) for charging up her Ult's Light Sword after Hold Skill for Cryo/Phys Shred after the 1st instance of her Ult.
I like the design but I'm skipping, plus I barely have any primos left after Neuvillete. I'm going to try and go for Venti to complete the Archons set.

You are totally right that his cons make him much stronger but.. most 5 star are like that. You can say the same about neuvillette, or others, i mean, Itto for example, comparing him to c0 and c6 is like sit and choccolate XD So yea, classic genshin, im just happy he is more than good at C0 too.

Soo lucky when I pulled him on his banner. I got lucky and managed to C3 him in 4 x10 pulls. Then on the next weapon banner I pulled "Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds"..... If you don't know, then you better find out. So much better than HIS weapon "Cash flow Supervision". At lvl 90, triple crowned. My Wrio's a monster.
I got him and his weapon. Im satisfied. He's not perfect but worth it. For me, i like his gameplay. He hits hard😂. Just match him with a healer and im good to go.

His c1 isn't even qol, it changes his whole passive. Honesty the first part of his c1 should be his passive instead. The 200% dmg increase is understandable as cons. I think they're trying so hard to make him c1 dependent. I have him and I do like him. Literally skipped everyone for him but unfortunately I do think he's mediocre at c0. Not bad, he does work well. Just mediocre. Personally I would put his c0 in A tier maybe. Or lower S tier with good supports. But hey it has only been a few days. Maybe someone will find the perfect team for him. Not sure if he'll get yoimiya's treatment but it might take a long time before that happens. I'm really tempted to pull for his c1 but I don't wanna get baited. There are tons of new characters coming as well as reruns

hoyo is starting to balance the game around 5 stars needing c1 or r1 (because a lot of ftp don't go for them). they also realized that most endgame players have really well built chars and as the character roster is increasing, they want the new ones to have a bit more of an edge besides the whole "abyss is catered to the new 5 star." you can notice from Lyney and neuvillette, they aren't traditional hypercarries in the sense that you would just add Xq or yelan to the teams, which i think is good because they've been like top 3 since dendro released lmao

Small thing to note. No, his skill does not give any damage bonus to his charged attack. Second thing to note, the bonus damage offered by the passive is a straight up damage multiplier. It's MASSIVE for that c1. It is the difference of doing 40k and doing 80k damage for c0 vs c1
It's also worth noting that his c1 alone puts him into the top end of dps, comparable with c2 Raiden shogun for outright damage, and this character's charged attacks can easily see 100-200k melt procs at c1, potentially 300k+ with extremely good supports, inside of the spiral abyss floor 12.
It's note the same as hutao c1, her c1 is a dps increase but only marginally. This c1 for Wriothesley is so important that it's almost mandatory.
Against bosses like Raiden Shogun or others that have negative resistance phases expect to see clips of Wriothesley hitting for 500-900k at c0-c1

I agree, after pulling for his c1, as a f2p, I can already say its worth it to stop there, it's manageable cause his c1 is his best cons for me! I dont have his weapon but have widsith r5 and i manage to hit 150-200k ca melt with the right buffs, if i compare it with c1 ganyu, wrio is more comfortable, easier, and hits harder
It is sad that wriothesley potential is locked on cons and if u don't have it, His playstyle is harder... But i am happy it is manageable for us f2p players to reach it
i think mihoyo is transitioning to power creeping characters by making c1 op. since there’s too many characters in genshin now the only way they can powercreep/make people buy characters is obviously design and functionality. sales would b low if the characters were bad at start and so by making them op on c1 it would give incentives for people to pull more which would balance out the people that aren’t pulling

The difference in strength was really huge when he went from hitting 30k to 90k for me with bad artifacts in that melt comp . I'm so glad i got his constellation but it's truly sad that his true potential is locked behind his C1

If they just made it so his E buff doesn’t disappear when you’re below 50% HP he would feel so luch better . They could just give him absolute interruption resistance when above 50% but then none when he’s below that instead .
So sad that they made his kit scuffed when he was being worked on by moving parts of his kit into his c1

Shenhe is his best partner in a team comp.
C6 yunjin helps with atk speed to proc last basic atk faster. If you dont have his BiS weapon, C6 yunjin is your best choice
Yeah rizzly is another C1 BiS weapon victim but C0 is alright as long as you have his best team comp (freeze or dps) such as kazuha and shenhe
If you have C1 and R1 Robot catalyst, you can generally solo abyss with rizzly.

C1 Wriothesley still easier to achieve than c6 Faruzan. I pulled for Nuev and don't want to risk missing out on Furina. I was gonna pull for Wrio instead but got baited on Neuv. So I'm skipping. Aesthetically and gameplay-wise he looks better than Nuev. Also less restrictive teams

I did his trial run and in my opinion he was a bit clunky to play. I think melt is his best option but as soon as I read about the C1 changing how the entire passive works it killed the chance of me getting him. Having got neuvillette and really enjoying him, I'll be saving for someone else.

Been saving for him for awhile! I have 236 wishes atm and at 72 pity. I agree with everything you said but I am now focused on getting characters I want since I have teams for every reaction built out. I don't even mind going for cons on him especially with how much I have saved up

He is little on the weaker side but I'm 100% sure the upcoming character's can save him, Like Furina with 100% buff or Cloud retainer with the healing that he needs, or maybe even if Arlechino is she got off field pyro application and stuff.
My Expectation, Wrio,Shenhe,Furina and Cloud retainer or just Xiangling/Kazuha/Bennet will be a very strong team

If you already have other top Cryo DPS characters like Ganyu or Ayaka, then Wriothesley may end up being redundant. However, if you're lacking a Cryo DPS then he'll definitely be worth it, especially during the Fontaine versions where HP manipulation will be favourted by the current meta

Where the game stands currently nobody needs any cryo units as it’s value is highly dependent on pyro units which we don’t or barely have.
He may not be as strong now, but hopefully Furina could be the support he really needs paired with Kazuha and Shenhe as well
I know he isn't the best, I managed to get lucky and get him at c1, but I mainly just pulled cause the melee punching looks so fun and it is for sure my favorite character in terms of combat style and feel

Technically neuv c1 is also a massive quality of life change, he gets interruption to resistance, and gives him one stack on his passive so he only need 2 elemental reaction (his team comp would make more sense, than running him with 3 other different elements) that's 2 of his biggest issue fixed. guess hoyoverse just trying to temp you to spend and get early cons to complete the characters😒
Tbh both are working fine at c0 but at riot at c0 is lackluster while c0 nuevi isnt and he can function well
Neuvillette C1 isn't comparable to Wriothesley C1.
Neuvillette function properly without C1 unlike Wriothesley.
But with Neuvillette, his C0 doesn't really boost his dmg. It just makes life easier and open double hydro team. He will still deal tons of dmg at c0.
But with Wriothesley it buff his dmg by a lot.

I using New Fontaine Craft weapon for him. He is also good in Reverse Melt Comps with Shenhe and I never try the Freeze comps for him reason he shattered the frozen enemy. Now I want to try Burn Vapor Melt For that character (Furina, Wriothesley, Baizhu and Xiangling)
I think Wriothesley need healer that can maintain between 50% to 60% HP.

I was able to grab his at C1 rather than go for C0R1. Have him at level 70 with all level 6 talents. So far he's doing 8-10k with his E, no reactions or buffs. Found my new main for a while! I'm actually having fun with a character for once again, last being Scara.

i’m stingy with my primos😂 so i decided to get Neuvillette bc he could be a one man team when built well due to his self healing ability and amazing uptime. plus he’s just so much fun to me and i love hydro characters! so yeah, i’m skipping Wriothesley, and i’m skipping Furina. i don’t like her much as a character but in time she may grow on me and maybe i’ll like the feel of her kit and possibly pull on her future rerun. the next character that i’m super interested in though is definitely Arlecchino. i hope she has a cool kit, i’d really love a new pyro character. all the ones in the game that are 5 stars just aren’t my cup of tea lol

easy fix for the hp lost; if you have baizhu use his skill attack (idk if that’s the right term) to heal about 2-4k health whenever wrio attacks.. baizhu skill allows you too only heal a little health at a time& if you just have a good rotation than you won’t have to worry about health because baizhu’s cd from his skill is like 3-5 seconds

Imo no character should be able to function well on their own without any cons. Same goes for Rizzley, all C1 gives him is better QoL and more damage. If you look at Neuvillette kits, his C1 provides him interruption resistance so he doesn't get knocked out of his CA. Also C1 allows him to do double hydro whereas C0 he needs a shielder and 3 different element type beside himself to proc the passive. C0 Rizzley is just fine at that. His constant dps is still as good at C0. While his C1 allows him to have more up time on field and bigger number on CA and also heals him for 2.5s instead of 5s while on E state. It's not that bad to play him at C0 tbh
Ballad of the Boundless blue is the best f2p weapon for him no cap, r5 gives him 16% x3 na and 12% x3 for charged, even more than his sig, and it's free to refine from event. Perfectly for Him

Wriothesley doesn't really need to use ult, he's best f2p is Widsidth.

Why does er doesn't benefit him when he Oso need to burst for his dps? Plus 30% er is decent for his uptime, most impt he benefits more from it's passive

I've been getting 36 stars in Abyss since Baizhu without having Kazuha, Yelan, blah blah etc. So at this point it doesn't matter about a character's damage or if needs C1 to fix issues. I can pull characters I simply enjoy and like. I have all my 'must haves' from Fontaine now. Back to saving unless I go for Chlorinde to complete the Fonteam trio.

Ngl I have to agree with you. I think what disappoints me the most is the fact that when Neuvillette came out he was an amazing dps, and his dmg output was insane. Wriothesley had so much hype building for him and its a little underwhelming. I never expected him to “break the meta” but I feel like hoyo did him dirty. He is the first official cryo catalyst so the hype was there, people were very excited and hopeful for him. And then Furina got announced. I know hoyo plans out their banner in advance, which is why he is the way he is. It feels like hoyo nerfed his so he wouldn’t outshine Furina/ make her an even better support for him and future characters. The difference in dmg between Wriothesley and Neuvillette is insane (I’m talking personal dmg) because comparing my semi built Wriothesley to my friends semi built Neuvillette, there is a stark difference.
I was fortunate enough to pull c1 but as of writing this I have yet to activate that constellation for the sake of wanting to test how much its going to make a difference. I can already tell that his c1 is gonna make it a lot easier to manage his kit overall. And yes, there are other characters that have c1 as a game change, one of the examples you used was Hu Tao, and this is true. But his c1 improves his kit so much more then Hu Tao’s.
I think meta wise as of now he’s not the strongest, but who know. Knowing hoyo the probably have a character lined up to boost him that will go well with his kit, but as of now it saddens me to say that I feel underwhelmed and a little disappointed. This whole blurb is talking about personal dmg without supports, I dont have Shenhe currently so I can say how much she can increase his dmg, but even with the supports I have they only help him so much
You're supposed to reverse melt with wriothesley. That's why he feels so underwhelming, because you're comparing the damage he puts by himself vs reverse melt damage.
And yes, you could try vaporize with Neuvillette as well. Not the most orthodox thing, but the option's there. I've seen 80-120k vapes with him.
@@Sergmanny46 I’ve seen his reaction based damage (freeze, mono cryo, and reverse melt) and its not bad, but when you compare their person dmg Neuvillette is just better. I use my characters for multipurpose, whether it’s fighting bosses, doing spiral, creating new or random team comps, and playing in co op. I like playing in co op with new people and friends but he mainly benefits from having a support while playing him and you cant always have a support when playing in a full co op team. Also, I personally have a hard time with melt and reverse melt teams. I’ve watch videos about how reverse melt would work with Wriothesley and its a lot of technical play which is kinda hard on mobile. If you have the correct team built for him he will output a lot to damage but that means fully building him and his supports which is hard (the RNG for artifacts is terrible and for someone like me who hasn’t been playing as long as others I don’t have as many good artifacts for a whole team, lot of my characters share artifacts until I get better ones) not to mention his team comps see pretty limited at the moment but that will probably change with the release of new characters from Fontaine.
I am a unit collector, the way i operate for it is simple for me. Of i fail their 50/50 then i hold for next unit and await rerun, wish me luck. I do want him, but i also want Furina. I've done three multi so far since my last guarantee and it was two chongyun into finally my C6 Dori.
Edit: the road to C6 everyone that isnt the freebie four stars outside Xiangling is painful
The supports I've been using are Layla, Xingqiu and Kazuha. Decent shield with cryo resonance and small heals and elemental def shred
He's melee cryo version of Wanderer. He have same kit as him: elemental skill boost NA, and multi hit burst. Same play style.
You need healer at c0, I tried Mika, and he works decently, but not enough (but then my Mika burst is only lvl6). You can skip his c4 with dash, so N3 dash N5 charge. I could squeeze one CA before have to rotate. At C0, he felt incomplete. Sigh.
Tldr, just pull for Furina, Wrio is luxury pull.

Ive been so lucky with 5* cryo characters. Ive always gotten them early on a 50/50. Im debating going for him but I just feel hes not needed since I already have Ayaka and Shenhe with both their signature weapons.
Update: I lost 50/50 about 35 pulls in and got Tighnari. Thought I start building pity for the archon and got him 6 pulls later. 🙃💀

at c0 his kit just doesn't make alot of sense to me. All of you combos are HP negative and you lose your passive buff when you hit 50% hp. So a rotation or 2 in you lose your passive buff for a few seconds of his on field time.
So then you think, add a healer? nope, bc then you can't use his special charged attack.
So c0 is like choose which mechinic you want to not function, his buff or his special charged attack. Regaurdless of how good he is that is just bad design.

My thoughts, Characters really do become better by unlocking their constellations, and this enhancement at C1 is already very generous of Hoyo. Imagine if they put that in C4. It is always up for the players to decide whether they want it or not. C0 is good already, like other 5 star Dpses such as Hu Tao, Raiden, Itto etc.. They work, they're fine. But like me, I had C0 Wrist for a week, cleared Spiral Abyss flr 12 easily, but I like more damage, so I got C1.
Well since I'm on 50/50 I'll definitely pull. A bonus he's a husbando. If I lose I'll save for Arle.

after watching all the prerelease info about him, I was pretty disheartened about his kit and how he would perform, especially at c0. now that I have him - honestly really fun to play. can keep himself alive easily with his gracious rebuke, will make for fun solo battle challenges! his versatility is definitely something I really enjoy, I can't wait to try more team comps with him.
I don't have a Cryo dps yet except for Eula and other 4 stars. Should I pull him or wait for Furina? I didn't pull for Neuvillette though so I don't have a team for Furina yet.
You don't really NEED to have a cryo dps but if you want one then he's pretty good

His combo continuing after dash cancelling for me doesn't work well for me at high ping, Itto's works well for me though, I hope they fix it so it's as forgiving as Itto's combo continue. I have about 270 ping for reference.
I love punchy characters. They’re like f this book I’m just gonna punch you out! I’m going for his C1 and then I’m going Furina. I’m also praying to the gods they let us play Goth Eula Arlecchino some how. I’m still salty over never getting Signora.

You should definitely save for Furina, cause her rerun will be late, and also Furina is probably the best teammate for him besides Shenhe if you don't have her , people pull for Shenhe?

I got wriothesley on my last pull and i got 2 wriothesley not 1 two and now that i have heard that he better at c1 it made cry of fucking happiness of how lucky i was 🎉

Things about "changing playstyle" for a 5 star character..usually happens at C6 innit..?

I even heard Furina got her constellation changed..following this same pattern of C6 being the one changing playstyle)
But yea..the likes of HuTao and Wriothesley..happened at earlier constellation..
(But even then..HuTao at least only stamina issue..while Wriothesley, unconditional healing+damage+extended skill duration)
I know Mtashed made the comparison to Hu Tao, but I think the more accurate comparison is Wriothesley's C1 is more like Ganyu/Xiao/Alhaitham's C6.
Having Hu Tao's C1 doesn't inherently allow you to do more damage since it's still going to come down to you doing her new animation cancelling right.
Honestly, how Wriothesley & Itto by default doesn't cancel their Basic Attack sequences from using Dash or Elemental Skill while Diluc needs C6 to connect the sequences from his Skill, kinda sucks.
About c0 Eula though, it's fortunate we can reset her back for the front tumble hack slash(Dash/Jump > Basic Atk 3x again) for charging up her Ult's Light Sword after Hold Skill for Cryo/Phys Shred after the 1st instance of her Ult.
I like the design but I'm skipping, plus I barely have any primos left after Neuvillete. I'm going to try and go for Venti to complete the Archons set.

Im almost f2p.. my wrio could clear his abyss side pretty easily, he is C0. i think he is also very fun to use.
You are totally right that his cons make him much stronger but.. most 5 star are like that. You can say the same about neuvillette, or others, i mean, Itto for example, comparing him to c0 and c6 is like sit and choccolate XD
So yea, classic genshin, im just happy he is more than good at C0 too.

Soo lucky when I pulled him on his banner. I got lucky and managed to C3 him in 4 x10 pulls. Then on the next weapon banner I pulled "Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds"..... If you don't know, then you better find out. So much better than HIS weapon "Cash flow Supervision". At lvl 90, triple crowned. My Wrio's a monster.

I got him and his weapon. Im satisfied. He's not perfect but worth it. For me, i like his gameplay. He hits hard😂. Just match him with a healer and im good to go.

@@buttercup86900 i reached 10k on lvl 60 with talent 5 5 5 and C0. I give him 4set marechaussee hunter. Atk 1.5k, Crit dmg 188, crit rate 41. Im still building him.

His c1 isn't even qol, it changes his whole passive. Honesty the first part of his c1 should be his passive instead. The 200% dmg increase is understandable as cons. I think they're trying so hard to make him c1 dependent. I have him and I do like him. Literally skipped everyone for him but unfortunately I do think he's mediocre at c0. Not bad, he does work well. Just mediocre. Personally I would put his c0 in A tier maybe. Or lower S tier with good supports. But hey it has only been a few days. Maybe someone will find the perfect team for him. Not sure if he'll get yoimiya's treatment but it might take a long time before that happens. I'm really tempted to pull for his c1 but I don't wanna get baited. There are tons of new characters coming as well as reruns

I plan on running Qiqi, Raiden and Xinqu as my team once I bring him home. Freezing everying and slipping punches while tazering things is going to feel like ao much fun.
Ive done si.ilar things with Heizou far before i knew Wrio was coming. Hes an anime boxers fantasy lol he looks cool, his punches look cool, he sounds cool, 10/10 for us fighting folk lol
