Just did one about the size in this video. Get a dry cut 7 inch diamond blade. plastic off the area so the dust does not go all over, use water if you want to further cut down dust. Cut the out line of the box hole. It will not go all the way through but it makes a nice weak point to bust off the cement once broken through. Use a air chisel or electric equivalent once you have a hole to trim out the hole. Once the hole is in, dig the hole about 6 inches deeper than what you need. Put 4 or so inches of large gravel stone in the bottom of the hole, this is for drainage. Then put some thick cement on top of that for a base, then a bit more stone just so the shell is not in the concrete and allows for drainage. Then back fill with quick create to the top. If possible I put it about 1 inch high, that way if you have a flood it will help so you don't get your shell full of water. If you put anything like ammo or guns ect vacuum seal it before you put them in. This will help if you do get moisture to preserve the device. Put WD Pro on the gun before you vacuum seal it, this will further preserve the metal. I have vacuum sealed guns and opened them up several years later and they were as the day I put them inside. You can do the same with ammo.

Should plastic bag the safe when you drop it in. Condensation inside the safe, and a musky smell, is a HUGE issue with floor safes. A vapor barrier is vital.

I do like the pre drilled holes in the floor safe pattern. Keeps the concrete hole more controllable and not break away say under the wall or other permanent fixtures. Good advice on the water threat and double zip lock bagging. Tks.

Good job....what I will do when I get my Hayman safe is do what you did and also drill the old concrete on the side of it before pouring the concrete and insert threaded rod and bend it downwards and then pour the concrete

I would have made a steel plate to cover the safe and then tape that. It could be used on installs over and over. When finished, the original plate would be used with no dried, smeared mortar on it. It would be a brand new product that looked brand new. Looking Professional.

Great video. Very informative. I'm glad I'm not doing the work!
(You might want to blur out the house number and repost though.)

It might be fire proof. But what happens when the fire department gets there and starts putting the fire out? Wouldn’t the safe fill with water?

Cement is actually an ingredient of concrete. Once the cement mix is set up, the safe is in concrete. Do you own a cement pond too? lol Cement alone would never set up. FYI

His language used is kind of a dead give away. Lol. I’d put some rebar in there, bag the safe in 10minute plastic and use 4K psi concrete. I’d also get a waterproof safe and fire insulated.

How do we know the company who installs the safe don't break in your house and robe you....remember they have your home address?

Good job on the installation. However, from what I've been told safe salesmen say any paper or money will be turned to ashes if your house burns down.

not so safe there the way that cable on the drill was handled. could have got snagged in the bit and ripped open to live wires
