To anyone who cares, don't use these type of dynabolts, they can be rocked loose. Use the ramset plastic inserts and coach bolts. They bite hard and won't respond to rocking as much. If you beat this with a sledge hammer it will raise 5mm on one side from there it can be rocked.

Shouldnt the safe also be set on a rubber mat or pad so no condensation will form between the concrete and the metal?

Thanks. This is exactly the type of video that I was looking for.

If you really want it to stay you can shoot some epoxy in before the expanding bolts, just work fast enough tighten the safe down.

Can it ever be removed? For example I'm in a rented property and may need to move home at some point in the future

Yes just unbolt it. Problem is if you cut carpet out you’ll be responsible for the damage. If it’s just concrete you could always remove the anchors and just refill the holes.

Can I use a sharpe to mark the holes?

Yes, it would be fine to use a Sparpe. We've used a pencil in our example but any form of marking the hole locations is acceptable.

Check with your insurer? Never! Why?

Just get a quality construction adhesive, and glue it down. No thief on earth will be able to remove it. Of course, neither will you! It will be, uh, permanent.
