Great instructions! Took a few days to get it right with my BC/GSD-mix, she does it gracefully now even without the hand gesture, for a while she advanced the trick her self and jumped over my back haha.

My dog likes to either stay stable with his front paws, or quickly jump across my back. Any tips on getting him to stay on my back, instead of immediately getting down?
For some reason, my dog isn't comfortable with steping on me. I tried the first step but my dog just tries to jump of the bed and get the treat after. I tried lying on the floor on my stomack too (in case she was scared of the hight) but, she would just jump over me or try to reach the treat without steping on me. How do I get her to step on me?
Be patient! You could also take a step back and lure her onto an object with all four paws. Then give a cue to that behaviour and try to connect that with placing all four paws on your back! Hope this helps :)

I would wait with this trick untill he's at least one year old, so his joints are fully grown. Otherwise, jumping higher than his elbow level can already damage his joints.
