For those who are wondering, yes I am the writer of the 1st story. I would like to Apologize if it made no sense to some of you. English isn't my first language and in all honesty, I haven't wrote anything like that in years (by that I mean writing down a bad experience). Yes it's true, despite it seeming fake. These are just my mom's beliefs, not mine. I still wonder about it. And for those of you that are still sticking around the comment, yes they are fine and they're doing good. So in summary for those who are saying "We never had a problem", sometimes in life, others aren't so lucky to have your same exact experience. There's always that "wrong place, wrong time" scenario. Yes, Mexico has been always violent since Aztecs time, and some of that is manifested on todays era, its sad as a Mexican see how much damage those groups can do without repercursion, Im glad the people on the first story were safe at the end, but not many are that lucky
The Mexico story is quite terrifying. I've heard of a lot of bad things going on over there as well as their police force and government being corrupted which was stated in the story, by the Cartel. Though I've heard positive stories from friends I know of that have gone there, they mostly stay in a resort. But because of the creepy stories, I don't think I'll ever go there. Even when traveling is aloud after the pandemic.

The cartel is no joke. A family friend of ours lives a block away from a small tortilla business. The family that lived there was doing well, but one day when we were visiting our friend I saw the shop burned down and abandoned. Our friend told us the cartel burned the place down after their 'fee' wasn't payed. Makes me sad for that family.
Anne you are not dumb. The first story was all over the place.... Regarding Crickets depends on who you ask. For my family they are good luck and we don’t kill them. We take them outside once they are caught 😉
@@diahanndoncel2525 I'm not sure if there are any cultural connections to crickets being bad luck, it made no sense whatsoever. The only time something similar was used as an omen was in the movie Practical Magic (1998). It is actually considered VERY BAD LUCK to kill a cricket.
Crickets are a sign of good luck, prosperity and good fortune in the Japanese, Chinese, and Native American culture. Some even keep crickets in cages as pets. When I was younger my parents took a trip to Japan and I clearly remember them bringing me back a cricket cage and explaining the importance of the crickets to the culture.
The cricket story surprised me because tho I hate all bugs equally and extremely uncomfortable in the same vicinity and don't let a spider crawl on me. Praying mantis I just remove myself cuz I've been told it's illegal to kill them, but crickets get a pass from me, they're supposed to be lucky so killing one is unlucky ...right? I will swoosh it out the door cuz stiil-bug so it can't stay. I'm not even sure why I know/believe this lol. But I'll not be killing any crrickets anytime soon.
The cartels are brutal. I lived in El Paso by the Juarez border for a couple years. Kidnappings were a regular occurrence. There was always something going on.
