My new years resolution for 2024 was to stop buying new plugins so I've unsubscribed from all the vendors e-mail lists. I noticed this video and checked it out. The Dub Filter looks interesting... So imagine my delight when I checked the Audio Thing web page and found that this is available free to previous owners of Alborosie Dub Station so I've not really broken my resolution!
Love the sound. Love the possibilities it opens for a decent dub mix. Love the fact that I can currently get it for free as I already own Dub Station (which I thought was missing some of what Dub Filter has, considering its [last] name) Love the Don Carlos reference. One more thing... di riddim solid, my yout! Glad I stumbled across your channel. I'm now a subscriber.
I love that you got the official video for this Dub Filter! Please tell me we get the DM Khan presets?! Also, just a big thank you for all your hard work, and sharing that work with us ❤
Maximum Respect 🫡 what a sound💥💥 gonna have to grab this asap.. do you know what happened to the Alborosie collab? I saw it’s been discontinued Bless up
Natty riddim! I had to Instabuy the iOS version at the mere mention of the King - haven’t gone in on it yet but thanks for the video explaining everything!
Aarh yeah, it's the 1st time realising that the sound of a dub type filter is actually stepping between frequency settings, and that it's a peak slope and not a bandpass one. Makes total sense when listening to a lot of dub. My Vermona Filter Lancet can't do the stepping sound of course, and it doesn't have peak slope either. But it does have bandpass and a mix knob. That should essentially turn into a kind of peak filter if dialing the mix back, the res up high enough, and the 'balls' knob adjusted maybe 🤔 Btw, my favorite spring reverb plugin is the free 'Devil Spring Reverb' by 'Lost in 70s' (they have some other cool and great sounding free plugins like a Hammond emulation!), which is actually just a convolution reverb with impulse responses, that the developer grapped for free on the web (he even gives thanks and links to those websites), and then adjusted a bit to taste for the plugin. So it sounds like the real deal, since it is sourced from the actual units. But great props to companies like Audiothing, PSP, Softube etc. for developing such realistic sounding algorithmic spring reverb 😊
Finally a new video, DM. Please don't stop making them
BY FAR the most informative channel on YT when it comes to Reggae production. Thank you for sharing DM Kahn \m/
I was looking for a plug in version of the Knob since so long ! Thank you dub Master, you make my day !!!
Good demo bro. Looking forward to downloading this one, seems like some nice additions to the standard filter. Dub on!!!
Thank you brother 🫡
