I film these bare faced (with the skincare discussed applied) for transparency. These videos are made to share my own experience and general thoughts. I've just been online looking for that eye cream.. The amount of product you get in some of these Korean skincare brands eye creams is amazing, the ingredients are incredible, and then you compare to the typical brands like clinique and lancome etc and their tiny wee jars, that don't compare at all ingredient wise, and charge a fortune . I have the Benton fermentation eye cream, and the klairs, and have been eyeing the iunik, but while I was online I see Benton have a new ceramide cream and a new lip treatment. So they went in my cart also. I really enjoyed this series, I hope you do more for other brands. I always find a new gem to try. Thank you. 🙏🌻

    Love this series and a great end to a wonderful marathon of skincare! Reading other comments and yes- you will love their milk cleanser! I tried it out as soon as i could grab it! Creamy texture, but then has an interesting stringyness to it like snail- I think due to the yam! Excited to see which products you stick to for the long haul and the results you get!

    I super enjoyed this series. I am finding success with Korean skincare in general for sure. My households oily skin loves the green tea toner from Isntree. I do think S. Korea's ginseng skincare products are outstanding.. Donginbi and Sulwhasoo are birthday treats haha, but there's so much more affordable options that are beautiful on the skin too. Have you tried any S. K haircare?

    Alice! Hi! I love the pure joy you’ve had in this series! I’m so glad you found so many products your skin loves! I can’t wait for my onion toner to arrive!! I’ll do a quick patch test ( wait a few minutes for a reaction bc mines are quick) and get it on my skin! I’m so excited 🤩🤩🤩🤩 it’s ridiculous! oof I don’t like cleansing foams either! They’re too drying but that green tea cleanser looks nice! I love the color! I only use clay masks for spot treating and it works wonders in that way for me! I literally will leave it on all night and wash off in the morning and then apply again if I had a bad break out and by day 2 it’s healed. I’m glad you reviewed the mugwort mask because everyone was telling me “don’t get it if you have dry skin it’s not for you” and I was bummed 😂

    Hi, I love your videos. You said isntree green tea fresh facewash has physical exfoliation. So can I use this product as my second step cleanser or as a regular everyday cleanser? After using this cleanser, can I use any chemical exfoliation as the cleanser has already given physical exfoliation to the skin? We know that too much exfoliation is bad for the skin barrier.

  • @agiles6483
    @agiles6483 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    FYI, I have mature skin complicated by rosacea, but it is not feeling as dry, either because it is summer or because my moisture barrier is healthier. I like to have a non foaming cream/gel cleanser and a foaming cleanser to use based on what my skin feels like after an oil cleanser. I took a chance on the sub-acidic/5.5-6.5ph Isntree Sensitive Balancing Bubble Foam, and I have not had that dry tight feeling of over stripped skin after more than a week of using it in the evening. I admit I like the bubbles😄, too. Thank you for a thorough review of a brand I have not had much experience with. My wish list is getting longer.

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep that’s very true - especially on the nights where I deeply oil cleanse. That’s when I need a more thorough cleanser as well.
      I swear, part of the trick is figuring out how to manage the actives that help us out while also keeping that moisture barrier in tip top shape. It makes all the difference in the world 😳😍

    I tend to do the same thing you do where I'll look for deals on what I do buy and am not always be willing to pay a premium when I don't feel value from spending the extra money on a product, but wouldn't describe the outlook as either "frugal" or "cheap". Frugal to me implies a totality of being very careful with money and I feel that factors in not only to the amount paid for specific items, but also the amount of total purchases made being a bit more minimalistic. I don't feel I meet this criteria because I buy too much, including things I don't need but want to try, and because I'll pay way more than I need to for a product if I feel I'm getting enjoyment out to the experience. Cheap of course implies that you're not willing to pay value, and quite candidly I'm willing to spend much more money than I need to if I like the user experience.
    Personally I define my spending habits as "pragmatic". I'm realistically well aware of a product's commercial value, value to me, and place in the market. If I want a sunscreen and don't feel I get enough personal value off spending 60-90% compared to the $20 one, and know the $20 one regularly goes on sale for $9, I'll typically spend $9. If I'm curious about the $90 one and want to give it a try just because, I'll know at some point its going to be 50% off and buy one then because I've got a budget to buy things I don't need. I don't impulse buy almost anything, I have a separate internal list full of things I want but not at *that* price.
    I think my reaction to this series is a good explanation of this reaction. You went over a ton of really good products and I know I could replace a lot of products with cheaper alternatives from this brand probably bought at 50% off. That said.... I'm left with my original general overview of the brand. Everything feels basic and boring (to me). It's kind of like the Ordinary, but without most of the potent actives and with better textures. I'd 100% recommend it to others, and I may even save money switching myself over, but I don't actually want it nor can I convince myself that the results will be better than the brands I've tried/use. If I were frugal or cheap I'd probably be all over it....

      @AliceintheRabbitHole  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly though, I can’t argue at all with that - if you know what you like (or what you like trying, as it may be!) - stick with that! Because you’re 100% right that there are deals to be found on everything! 😊

    😡 I bought the isntree hyaluronic spf for my bff last year and the other day I found it….in her garage…with no cap on it…stuck in a drawer with a bunch of HUM nutrition supplements I also got her. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ In her mind she seems to think a 107 degree garage in south Louisiana is room temperature and those products are still good.
    I need to be wiser in choosing my bff.

    I’m frugal. But I can’t skimp on skin care.

    I have to 100% disagree with the Instree eye cream. This eye cream is creamy but SUPER thick and never completely sinks in and absorbs. It remains sitting on top the skin even after 30mins of application, and therefore I only use it to "slug" my eye area when I need the extra cocooning. The texture is more like a not cosmetically elegant dimethicone-ny CeraVe that never fully absorbs onto the skin, but the ingredients deck is nice and price is super cheap; Yes the product has silicone in it AND within the first 10 spots on the ingredients. Don't get it confused with a silicone primer because it's not smooth and silky. It's thick and creamy but never fully absorbs. Over the years because of how impressive the ingredients deck and cheap it is, Ive tried three tubes of it. And I concluded it's just good for slugging.

      Thank you for sharing! I was initially surprised to read this…but also not surprised - it’s amazing how different experiences with the same product can be!

    It is a struggle with eye cream under makeup for sure. ❌️⭕️

      One of the worst I’ve ever tried with makeup goes to Tara Harper. That eye cream was WAY too expensive to be so finicky 👀
