PW80 Build Part 3: Derestricting the stock silencer

Two strokes need some restriction to create back pressure to help the next cycle.

The muffler is there only to reduce noice, the back preassure is created within the expansion chamber just before the silencer.

@@rockigt the expansion chamber is there to create a resonance wave to help with the next cycles and high rpms

No, PW80 silencers just come with the baffle that I sawed off

No if your talking about backpressure.The expansion chamber does all that work that why 2 stroke have expansion chambers.The silencer is their to restrict the noise

My brother is working on a pw80 pit bike build,
Even though he’s already done this mod, the bike doesn’t run yet, so I’m looking for what it sounds like.
