I like the Hulk man setup. Very compact, and like you say, you may only need it once. I have portable air-pump, that I carry in a small plastic container that has a nice handle I picked up at Walmart for a couple of bucks. So I think, carrying this around can be remedied very easily. As time goes on and my driving time is limited my car sets for several days. It's nice to know, if I need a jump, I just pull this bad boy out of the box and within a couple of minutes I'm up and running. Thanks for your video.
Good review. You just forgot to mention the S model has an automatic heater built in. That's so it can be used in -40° weather instead of the -5° operating temp of the 85° model. A must for colder climates. Also you can't change Lithium batteries at negative temperatures.
You compared the flashlights of the boosters, which are actually a side addition, and not the boosters themselves and their starting ability, which is the essence of this review.
Can the Hulkman be used along with a OBD2 memory saver? This is a way of retaining all of the ECU settings, radio stations, etc, when changing the car battery. I requires an additional cable that plugs into the cars OBD2 port and uses the Hulkman 12 volt (DC) outlet connector. Many battery jumpers support this.
Thank you for this. I think it will be the Hulkman for me. I do have great experience with Norco's battery tender for my Goldwing and it works so so well, However, value wise, Hulkman all around.
Meh. Just because they look sharper doesn't mean they grip better. It mostly comes down to the strength of the spring. I bet the Hulkman clamps grip just as well.
I was surprised to see video title as those are the two brands that I've been looking at. More than brute power, thinking more on the lines of ease of use, reliability and longevity. I mean It might be years before I actually use it. I find it funny that nearly everyone including young people still refer to the power ports as 'cigarette lighters. " Well explained by the way.
I was getting negative feedback from family and friends that have the 85/85s. Is it true that the provided contact phone# that listed on the hulkman adv box do not accept incoming calls. How do you get in contact w/ customer service? And how urgent was customer service response?
Пользуюсь Hulkman 85, очень, часто. Прибор работает на высоте, он спокойно крутит 3.0 дизель вообще без аккумулятора. Клемы тонкие и это большой плюс, так как можно зацепиться везде. Прибор супер
I have a Noco GB70 for a year now and it haven't failed me thus far, but from what my research tells me about the Hulkman, I'm gonna get one. The Hulkman looks cool and sexy, like the fact that it's a bit lighter & smaller and charges supper fast, which lends itself to being a power bank without the clamps. (Disappointed FWA didn't actually tested it)
Yeah, no issues from my Noco. I like the Hulkman as well. They all seem to be pretty got units, especially when compared to the old battery jump boxes.
Just a dumb idea to have shiny black plastic surfaces on anything really, and especially on something that's intended to be used in dirty environments. Personally I have the GB70 and I like that the cables are fixed to the unit because then you'll know exactly where they are. You're not going to end up with the wrong cables lying in your car for a year, and when you need a boost you are screwed because it's got the wrong plug.
I don't have any control as to what ads TH-cam shows, nor do I even have the ability to see what ads are being played before, during or after our videos. Sounds like a hypothetical question, but unfortunately I can't provide any facts to assist with your thesis.
These jumper boxes are not batter packs. They have super capacitors. They need a discharged battery so they have some juice to work with. I didn’t have a partially dead battery to test on. Additionally it’s hard to get an apples to apples comparison because if I did have a partially dead battery the first jumper used would be at an advantage.
@@ThriftyGarage just a suggestion for the next video comparison. You could just disconnect the car battery and use the pack to jump the car totally by itself. That way you don't have to worry about any battery recharging. I have seen other people do that to simulate a 0V battery.. I don't think you a need the car battery to provide a bit of juice.
Honestly both work great and we use both frequently. I’d grab the Noco first simply for the carrying case. That said I believe someone said you can order a case for the Hulkman separately. If I had that it would be even harder to choose my preferred unit.

A very important part is the gauge of the wire in clamps of the charger. Low is better 2/4/6 is best.

I hear you! Some of the value priced units really perform close to the same it’s hard not to save 1/2 the money!
You want the sharp ones for the clamps so you can get a good connection

Nice review … but it’s the one that does the job … my personal preference is the hulkman … nam Jamaica
amazon sells the bundle deal with a nice carry case
That’s great to know!

I have used both units several times without issues. I have never contacted the customer service for either unit. I never had a need to.

Да, это супер!
If your hookup the hulk man backwards, is there a safety feature like the Noco?
Yes. It will beep continuously until adjusted correctly
"Start you car" ahh the obligatory chinglish on the packaging lol
Duuude,,,he did not catch that typo...very good observation.

Yeah, I like to base my car jump starter purchases on how sexy they are. That's pathetic.
The last year Noco had had a lot of bad reviews, i own one from 2017 and it’s been great But I’m thinking of a hulk for my other rig
Yeah, no issues from my Noco. I like the Hulkman as well. They all seem to be pretty got units, especially when compared to the old battery jump boxes.
can the hulkman be used to jump a marine battery??
I don’t see why not. Is it also 12 volts?
86s can be used down to -40 degrees F
I have a Hulkman because it is rated to -40 degrees It can get that cold here and the the read out is so much better. I know it is at 99% vs 75-99%
The Hulkman is the best thing on the market. Just my opinion. I'd really love to know if anybody thinks there's a product that beats it.
There ain't a better jump box for size and versatility, I bought another brand on clearance bad mistake Hulkman is the best.
Noco is great as well! I’ve used both to save the day!
I really like trees. I'd love to know if anybody think there's anything that will beat it.
Meanwhile at the Zerengeti...
Nice job god bless

Why does youtube prohibit ads with White Men?

Great video
Thanks!
A review by just reading the box ???? Why not do some actual testing ? This review is a waste of my time !
Thank you
I like the hulkman....but got a fanttik.....its made with the same quality...i got the deluxe so id get a cool case.
A nice case is definitely worth having!
hulkman for sure
Why didn't you test them both out to see which could jump a car faster and how much battery is used after each jump

Cool
It would be nice to hear YOUR preference. Nice video otherwise

Look up Project Farm on TH-cam. In the search bar put in testing portable battery jump starters.
NOCO for the WIN
Slow strobe... Lol it's S.O.S

what a joke. Go do a youtube channel and let's see how perfect YOU are.
Yay, you can open boxes. Useless.
Yay, you can leave bitchy comments on the web. Even more useless.
This was painful to watch, to say the least.
