FYI the manual override button is used if the battery you are attempting to charge, is less than 2 volts. But just remember, the override button disables the safety devices on the booster.
Bought same one 4 yrs ago got me out of trouble many times cars, atv lawn mowers pick ups also farmers tractors only once it didn't start my tractor were the battery was really old Yes i do recommend this product,
So I bought this because this is exactly the make/model the CAA guy showed up with to boost my SUV. (CAA is the Canadian version of AAA in USA). I wanted to laugh when he pulled this tiny thing out, but it worked!! And my battery was 90% dead. I had every expectation this was gonna fail. After I had to ask questions. CAA guy said I needed at least the 1500A model for a standard small to mid SUV (though he had the 2000A /GB70 as seen in this video). I asked if he could boost a RAM 1500 with the GB70/2000A he had and he said “yeah, no problem do it every day. 2000A yeah, 1500A no on a truck”. I got mine (GB70 2000A) at Canadian Tire (in-store special + 1 Yr exchange warranty), though Amazon Canada has them too. I haven’t tried it yet, just sharing what I know. Great vid, thanks.
Thanks for sharing! Technology has improved tremendously in the past few years. These are definitely a great emergency tool to have. We have one in every vehicle.
There is a hard case available, with pockets for accessories. Charge it fully the first time. It works on my Ford Explorer battery. Well done on information!
Nice video. I just bought one myself. Thankfully haven’t had to use it but bought it for emergency. Just wanted to point out in my user Manual the exclamation symbol you pointed as an error is actually an override feature and the error light is the one near the power button. At least that’s what I read from my user Manual.
I’m very pleased with it. I have the Noco and several other off brands. They all seem to work. Some better than others, but the Noco seems more durable and built to last. It’s really hard to compare actual performance.
I want to know, once its fully charged, how long willit keep that charge while it sits in my freezing truck all winter? Will it stay charged for a week? A month? All winter?
I stored it in the trunk of my car for over a year. After using it one time to jump my dad’s car it still has 3 of the 4 lights lit or 75% full. My car is garaged most of the time. If you leave your car outside in the winter then it’d better to keep it inside and only take with you when you use your car. One thing to be aware of is that the power button and the light button are on top of the battery. Make sure nothing is resting on the battery or it or the light gets accidentally turned on and drains the battery. Better to keep it in the original box or get a hard case.
One quick question, i bought this. They were some cheaper ones but i got the kinda most expensive. This means this is just for heavy equipment trucks and vehicles. Or can it also be used to any car/vehicle of any motor size/ engine? Thanks in advance
It will work with smaller 12v cars. But the little jumpers won’t turn over a larger engine. Going overkill isn’t a bad idea. You will jump a small car more times off one charge. Or if you don’t use it for a couple of years and deplete the battery it will probably still be able to jump your car. Whereas the smaller pack would fail you. Hope that makes since.
It's a shame the jumper cables are so short and only for 12V battery under the front. I'm not sure I could use this on a Prius but if anyone has please let me know. I know there's an adapter under the front hood that connects to the battery in the trunk but can I connect the negative to the body?
When my charger is fully charged I have the light display showing 3 red bars and 1 solid green lights shouldn’t it display 1 green only without the red bars
That means you got it on as he said in the vid, you can charge your phone/device you want, but for jumping you have to plug it up first then hit the power button
Hook up the clamps. Push the power button. Then start the vehicle. Simple as that! These jump packs are smart so the battery does need to have some juice for them to "see" the battery. They also sense if you are hooked up backwards.
It didn’t start. The actual problem was the starter went out. It was odd, in this case it went clean kaput; working one moment to dead the next. New starter fixed me right up. I’ve used this to jump start my 4Runner, a Bobcat T650 skid steer and several other vehicles.
Yes! This thing is a beast! I’ve used it to jump heavy duty diesel construction equipment such as skid steers and Mini Excavators as well as my truck and other vehicles.
@@ThriftyGarage Perfect! I took advantage of the Prime Days deal and got it for CAD ~$179 +taxes! A 6.0L V8 shall be no problem for it at all then! I am also considering using the 12V output to power my electric blanket when winter camping haha! Cheers!
@@ThriftyGarage Maybe it would have been better if you showed a video of you jumping the heavy duty diesel construction eqiupment instead of failing to jump start a car.
It would work. Diesels require more cranking amps which require a larger jump starter. For your Highlander you could purchase a smaller jump starter to save on cost. But a larger jump starter would have more juice and be able to assist in starting more times between charging.
@@ThriftyGarage Then you shouldn't have shown the video. You should have made a video of a successful jump start. Also, you unhooked both battery cables, so it wasn't going to start anyway, even with a good starter, so that's not a valid excuse.
Well i did get a chance to test it and to me its the best jump box on the market .I have had others but this one has yet to fail to start any car or truck i have used it on . I AM IMPRESSED
Are you serious? I have to watch five and a half minutes only to find out that you didn't manage to test the only really relevant feature of this device - namely actually starting your truck? Thanks for the waste of time.

Does this actually charge the battery?
I bought one several weeks ago and it will not hold its charge overnight. Got a replacement today and hope it works as designed.
That’s great they replaced it under warranty.
How's the NOCO GB70 holding up 4 years later?

How can anyone make a review about something they haven’t even tested to show it actually works??

What noco to get for a Chevrolet Colorado v6 please
I love your review
Especially when you tried to jump the battery
Looks like it didn't work
he connected it to the battery WITHOUT the terminals connected. THATS why it didn't work!
4:05 what you mean "12v option"?? auto systems and batteries are 12v as is.
You can charge the unit from the car's 12V cigarette lighter.
Can I use this on a less liter car or is it only for 8.0L/6.0L
