Love the intensity of all this. 😍 Learned a lot. I know I need to embrace failure-- to want to fail. I do get stuck in analysis paralysis a lot & failure to launch. This has also helped me understand my ENTP friend at a deeper level. Love it!

I (INTJ female) met an ENTP, we weren't sure if he was an ENTP or ESTP since he identified as an ESTP. We were on the phone for 7.5 hours last night and mid conversation I started getting ENTP vibes. Thank you for your video, it helped us confirm he was in fact an ENTP.

Def felt called out here as an ESTP, I can see how it frustrates you seeing how near sighted we are. And the anyalsis paralysis is totally me. I go thru new jobs all the time cause I can’t find something to fit me and I get bored and move on and/or consider it a failure.

interesting that you mentioned the judging jesus quote. That is something that my boss put in his office after a couple months of telling him the issues with his management style. He had a high turnover rate and couldn't figure out the problems that were occurring. Now he actually listens to me.
Speaking as an INFJ I see a lot of interesting inversions of the ESTP type in my own personality and vice versa. For example you talk about new data pushing old data out for the ESTP. For myself that does tend to happen a lot which makes me feel like a scatterbrain, but I compensate for it by using organizational aids and techniques, or finding ways to aggregate the information and give it a place outside of my head (for example documenting it, or discussing it with others). Additionally you mention that ESTPs are past focused (in the form of wanting to accumulate experiences) and worried about wanting the wrong things, I get around that by searching for things to want and determining the abstract goals and dreams of what I want for the future. I like to talk with other people about what they want and it helps me to determine what I want and to give it some kind of existence in the world. In regards to willpower, I sometimes have trouble generating it, whereas it seems to be the primary driving force of the ESTP.
There was this ESTP of a personality group I used to frequent and he was amazing at providing counsel to people, it seemed he had all the strengths of an INFJ but in an ESTP form, it was really refreshing to see a person operating at such a high level of personal development, and just being heroic.

Ju Ju I've scored on both ... should try some other personality tests as well ... astrology western and Chinese. The Ennagram test is interesting as well. I figure you take the same test at different times of day at different times of year and you will find out you fit into a few different personality types based on the answers you give at the time. Get a well rounded idea about yourself from multiple sources.

I wonder when you have talked about 'King-Warrior-Magician-Lover' because I have forgotten that I read some free books from Jahova's witnesses website, they said about the 4 important characteristics of God 'Power-Justice-Wisdom-Love' I really wonder if they're the same things as 'King-Warrior-Magician-Lover' that you have tried to tell us. And I have other questions, do you have any good method for practice & developing willpower (Ni)? And was Jeremiah 'The weeping prophet' from the old testament an ENTP? (One of my favorite prophet. I think he was, he couldn't stop telling the truth.) When I (INTJ) read or watched ENTPs' intellectual works, they made me felt "ah you're my mouth." moment very often than the other types did. *smile

As an ENTP, I completely agree with the Superego part. I have a tendency to destroy the reality of people who have made an effort to fuck with my freedom and idea, and I made sure I am successful. I was so glad I have successfully fucked my managers' future who micromanaged the shit outta me when I was actually one of the most responsible, capable, and productive person in the team who really only hated ass-kissing. But you see? ESTJ COULDNT SURVIVE WITHOUT CONSTANT ASSKISSING. And that day I fucked their career great (at least in the company), I received random messages and cheers pictures from my coworkers. Damn... that feeling was amazingly great!

When you bring up the super ego you talk about reputation destroying being one of those things. Based on what you've said in other lectures, Fi types tend to go super saiyan in more of a physical sense, and Fe types are more likely to do it to your relationships. That's not to say that you are not 'being' your super ego, to the contrary, your super ego is able to use the ego's skillset with all limiters turned off which is part of the reason it's so dangerous. Think about handing the keys to all that power to someone like Tighten (the main villain from Megamind) and watching them abuse the shit out of it.

I wonder how people can mistype thanselves for a type whose Hero Function is the other type's Demon Function, such ESTP and ENTP, or ESFP and ENFP. I have taken tests in the past whose result was INFP, but reading descriptions, before I got to know about cognitive functions, I clearly saw that I couldn't be an INFP. My 6.5 yo daughter seems to be an ENFP, perhaps an ENTP, but that's unlikely. But her Se is clearly low, she cannot an ESFP.

dang this is hard. i think im estp again. i guess i just learned the importance of "what if" and abstractions. anybody know how these cog functions mature?, i remember him saying that somewhere and i dont know where to find it. its possible i have matured them a lot and thus i have a difficult time finding my origin type.

@@CSJoseph several times. i think i just got too much nurture to discern nature. however I am confident that i lean toward control over movement, as i prefer a specific outcome. btw, i think that test is phenominal and is coming along very well. last two times i took it, maybe a week ago, i got INTP, then ENTP. i can relate with both. Im just chalking it up to a lack of self intimacy. but i figure i got a pretty good hand here, so im content just to use the knowledge to improve others.

ENTJ here, woman. I get frustrated every time you think Steve Jobs is an ENTP. I think he is an ENTJ. His Apple company is his artwork (ISFP sub). You guys don't make any art or EVEN CARE about beautiful presentation. Steve CARES as hell. He cares about the font, thickness. His apple needs to look SEXY and BEAUTIFUL to touch people's heart. He's not seeing any future (Ne). He's using his INTP shadow to try to connect the dot the whole time. His products are a new way to approach things that already exist which is the phone but in a completely new way of doing it. From a hundred button to one button.
(Steve Jobs movie 2013) Watch it. Not the misinformation 2015 version. He doesn't move quick (movement) like you guys. If it doesn't make sense to us (ISFP sub). We're not going anywhere (Triple Control Based). Until it does. Nothing will ever stop. He starts his company and making it to the end, from the abstract in the brain making come true. Not ENTP starter and run out of energy in the end like that.
ENTP on the other hands. You guys are inventers. Like Thomas Edison. Inventing new things from candle to the light bulb. YOUR ability to see future is different than us. We see the future by looking at the big picture, trying to figuring things out as a whole. Connecting the dot to make a big picture NOT the (tactician, ENTP) dot. Go as you go. we don't do that. It's a different connecting the dots here.
