Now I think I'm an ESTP, but I'm not really sure because every ESTP character in movies is always represented as the "bully", or if it's in real-life l they're represented as the "jock" and don't like talking about "nerdy" stuff.

It's a good thing more and more people in the typology community 'come out' as sensor. Before the problem was that all these "intuitives" (a group consisting of both sensors and intuitives) seemed to posses the skills of both intuitives and sensors together . So it made it seem like intuitives had super strengths and seemed more well rounded people than they actually are in reality.
Once more and more people will recognize they're sensors more and more it will become visible how intuitives are absolutely overrated. After more people will figure out they're sensors the celebrity types should be next. Now most celebs are typed as intuitives, while I think there are more sensors celebs than intuitives too.
I think the main reason why intuitives have a better 'image' in the typing community also comes from the fact that most people think they're intuitives. The result is that sensors are 'the other people' that you do not know or hear about. So when more sensors will become visibile in the community, automatically their image will improve a lot too since people will see they're "normal" people too.

I'm a intp and I wrote about this sensory shaming and a bunch of intuitives were acting like sensors are evil. I used to think that at the very beginning of learning mbti and realized sensors actually come off as more down to earth because of their concrete thinking and I realized I saw a lot of infj qualities in istjs but people don't seem to realize that every human has 4 sides of the brain which is 2 intuitives and 2 sensors. So sensors can be intuitive they just don't normally rely in it as a first option. Intuition can be grown by anyone and so can sensing if intuitives get therapy and learn to become more present in the moment. ACCORDING TO CS JOSEPH a ESTP mind is the ego and the subconscious is INFJ the ISTj is unconscious and superego is ENFP. I see the istj in her unconscious come out in her eyes and some mannerisms ?

I think making this video is really important for our community. A lot of people can't conceptualize Se, especially Ne. Tests aren't accurate either, I always test INFP or INFJ, have never received an ENFP result despite those definitely being my functions. omg true i've always been typed as entp from all kinds of tests but nowadays i get tired of all ne and basically most "intuitive stuffs". i love gathering knowledge and information and brainstorm w/ it but i do it because i wanna know the reality. i just wanna know what's going on, that's it. i used to be somekind of debater and blabla entp stereotype but debating or basically ponder upon things for the sake of it bores me bcs if i get the information that i need then that's it. i move on. all of my friends also perceive me as a sensory even tho i always said to them that i always get entp due to my highly scored ne. i always score really high on ne, se, ti, fe, and recently si. dunno why i always got entp but after seeing ur vid its soooo liberating to know that sensory things dont mean sports, daredevilness, etc but more abt realizing and observing reality then process its "potentialities" based on the facts and what should we do abt them than the other way around (intuitive). thank u for the great great vid

      @TypeMatch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

That's been my reason for not getting into drugs. To be candid, I think I would like the experience of some drugs which is why I'll never try it. I don't like to lose control of myself like that. With drinking, I also don't like to lose control over myself and basically lose the next day from being hungover. I like to be productive too much to let myself do that.

@@TypeMatch Yeah that makes perfect sense. I reckon you should especially stay away from weed, as the sensation of getting more into that Ni seem to be hiiiighly addictive among Se doms.
On one end it can lead to some balance, but on the other end I think it may just f*ck up your natural way of interaction with the world, making you lose a part of the intense vibe you naturally have.
But hey, that's just my observation- I don't really want to tell anyone what to do or not. I have seen people change for the better and for worse when it comes to drugs and alcohol. Better not use medication if you're not sick, eh?

INFJ shadow of ESTP? You mean they're DUALS. The INFJ shadow is ENFP and the ESTP shadow is ISTJ.
Dual = same top 4 functions, but different direction ("upside down") and the shadow types do not share the functions (at least not the top 4 functions). Instead, the functions are switcehd from introversion towards extroversion and opposite. So the INFJ Ni becomes Ne, the INFJ Fe becomes FI ....etc (resulting in the ENFP)

Lol -- having to come out as an estp! Seriously, the MBTI community is ridiculous sometimes, and in fact, the worst comments ever made to me about my type came from in order: infp, infj (she was reporting the infp comments but obviously gave their comments credence), enfj. An enfj said point blank to me one time -- "Oh my God, that's my mom's type and she is a man hater." I was younger and more impressionable, and took it to heart, thinking I would have a hard time finding a husband and would be cruel to him. I can be Te-ish, but I am a very caring, loyal, supportive wife. Go ask your local surgeon if ISTP's and ESTPs are inferior types. I would rather know my surgeon was a disciplined STP than any other type pretty much. Maybe STJ but not when it's intricate. Thanks for the video.

I won't dwell into how much I was hurt by stereotypes about INFPs. But as I did more research and learned about cognitive functions I found out I'm actually an INFJ. I guess one huge misconception about every judging type is that we can't be spontaneous, which isn't true. Se doms (ExSPs) can be creative, write, play music, draw, do photography, etc. There's something grounding about Se. A difference I noticed between ENTPs and ESTPs is (dis)connection to reality-as you said, pragmatism. A discussion with an ENTP results in us exploring possibilities and we are making our own world, and our vision seems more real than the tangible world (Ne dom at play with my Ni dom). A discussion with an ESTP helps me see the world as it is, rather than 'How can I frame the world according to my vision, what are the tools that exist to make my vision come true'.

I have had great convos with sensors and they are smart and creative and funny and I envy them because my intuition can put me wayyyy to much in my head and they can apply and engage in a practical way and be in the moment or reality of the situation like u said and I think that’s a great trait. I really wish ppl wouldn’t hate on sensors. Have you been typed professionally using temperament and interaction style? I just doubt people’s assessment of themselves on their own type now that I’ve been typed as ENFP when I “knew” I was ESTP, and it makes sense for me now that I can see myself more objectively. Linda Berrens, Dario Nardi, John Bebe, CS Joseph use the same model in typing people and it is fool proof as long as you know how to utilize the type grid. But, I want to mention that high Ne users are actually known for their verbal agility. They are fluent in their speech and out class all the types in how well they speak and engage an audience to get their ideas across. Your comment is why people are confused about type because it’s still stereotypical of you to say sensors engage better socially and intuitives are closed minded. Now, high Ti and even demon Te can be very closed minded for example, but it all comes down to the maturity level of each type.

He’s more interested in the abstract than the concrete, he demonstrates superb social skills (why his podcast is so good), he isn’t aware of his own thoughts (feed me your thoughts) and he’s constantly reading his guests emotions.
People often effortlessly show their dominant function (effortless social skills. His fashion is awful and he’s sometimes far removed from reality). They work on their lower functions and demonstrate those too. His wrestling interests is Fe.

At the beginning of the video, you say: "Let's just get right down to it." Me: Oh yep, we have an Se user here, lol.
For the longest time, I thought I was an INFJ, but I got so annoyed at the stereotype, and some shown behaviors felt so ridiculous. Eventually, I found out that I had mistyped myself and actually am an INTJ and not an INFJ.
I never really understood Te or what it meant, only the stereotypical way I've observed it to be.
At first, I also had a hard time accepting it, but the more I interacted with certain situations and people and their stupid problems, I noticed how I tried to fix these problems, even try to explain the issues at the core, come up with creative solutions, and got annoyed at people just being so oblivious or denying it. I know I'm not wrong, nor mean, but some immediately go to that conclusion and act like I'm the bad and mean one.
There were also many, many times where I was asked to do certain things as a child or teen, usually in a physical or emotional sense that I felt so ffng uncomfortable with like; school gym, dancing, acting dumb/like a clown that showed my Fi being more present than Fe has been in any way, and made me have panic attacks or made me freeze on the spot.
I've never met a "healthy" ESTP, (well, I've never really known an ESTP) but I gotta say I'm impressed and honestly really happy to have come across your channel and this video. I first watched one of your videos about dating an INTJ (and I could already notice your Se, Ti, and Ni being very present, lol), and that brought me to this video.
Cool, that I'm getting to know a bit more about ESTPs! I usually dislike people...😂 (Mostly through bad experience with immature "Thinkers") However, after this video, I wouldn't be so against having a conversation with an ESTP anymore.😅 So yeah, thanks for lowering my paranoia!😂😂
    " 4:19 - 4:30 " Extra fun note as an INTJ:
Sometimes I go to my friends house in the evening and every once in a while he watches some soccer game on tv.
I'm not interested in (watching) soccer or sports on the tv in the first place, but I'd usually deal with it by making a little fun out of it.
I would look at some of the people on the field, and especially when they behave or play foolishly or as if they're a little baby or seem really entitles, I always laugh and comment on their ridiculousness, dramatically mimic them and their behavior with comments, make weird faces and add some exaggerated crying sounds because they act like the world is ending and every single time I do that, my friend always can't stop himself from laughing hysterically at the exaggerated impressions I'm making as if I'm some merciless "comedian." And I honestly love it myself as well!😂

But now I know that if I was lead Ni I wouldn’t even know that I liked those things. I could see my Ni because it’s middle function. Of course I didn’t see my Se because it’s natural and easy for me. I though sensors were dumb and could only see what’s in front of their face. I now know that’s not true. And yes I can confirm I have your exact style of comedy lol, I see the reality of a situation and exaggerate it to the point of extreme sarcasm 😅! And btw my INFP friend literally told me he’s a sensor because he likes looking at stars and taking in nature and living in the moment. Here’s another question. If you are ESTP, that means that you have SE dominant and NI inferior. Would you be willing to explain how your NI inferior expresses itself? I feel curious about how you originally believed that NE was your dominant (hero) function, and now you believe that NE is your demon function. Would you be willing to explain how you were able to come to so dramatic a shift in perspective?
I am clearly N dominant. One thing that clearly supports that is how much more difficult S-types of activity are for me. I can chug up ideas for hours at a time without needing a break; however, I have to rest after about 20 minutes of housework. Being orderly, doing housework, dealing with putting objects in their place and somehow managing to keep them there - all of that is such a struggle for me. I have to make myself go to the gym, and I am very proud to say that I have been going for 10 years now. I really do see my N functions as being fully grown (I am in my 70s) and my S functions as still requiring so much encouragement in order to develop.
So for this reason, because of so much discrepancy between my N functions and my S functions, it is hard for me to understand how you were able to perceive yourself, first, in one way, and, then, in the opposite way. I would love to hear your explanation about this. Would you be willing to explain? Also, do you struggle with your N functions?

Your flow of conscious thoughts are pretty linear, where as an ENTP will constantly go on tangents and interrupt their flow of thoughts interject their side stories, or one off thoughts. Listen to ENFP and ENTP talk sometimes, they will talk in a theme, almost circular, and will constantly interrupt what they are talking about as new ideas pop into their heads as they verbally process their thoughts in real time.

At this point these types are just pointless to me, different tests type me differently, very weird, one day I'm an ISTP then I'm an ENTP, then I'm an ESTP, And then I try to type myself and I can't figure it out, and then I just think about the types and try to figure myself out, and think that I figure it out, idk even know my brain is so dumb.
