  • Nobody does pickup trucks like American carmakers do, and the 2023 Ford Ranger continues to prove this. While this latest generation doesn’t deviate much from the formula of this long-running nameplate, it gets quite a few new features that make this model fully deserving of its ‘all-new’ billing. Just check out that massive portrait touchscreen.
After our initial off-road drive of the Wildtrak 4x4 in Phuket, Thailand, this time around, we try out the 2023 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 4x2 in local conditions. What do you get for its P1,569,000 asking price? And with vehicle prices poised to go up across the board, is this the vehicle for you if you’re in the market for a 4x2 pickup? Watch our review to find out.

Finally.. I noticed TGPh is not a Ford fan.. Judging from your previous videos before(3-5yrs back) Ur always on the critics side.. But now so glad to hear and watch that Ur praising the New Wildtrak.

    Thank you for the update.
Please COMPARE all 4x2 pick up trucks on the same price range on engine power to fuel economy. Thank you.
We would love to see Nissan, Isuzu, Ford, Toyota, and Mazda 4x2 comparison.

If you have more than one car, it gets confusing.
Every single person whom I've had in the Ranger., without exception, has reached for that blank plate to open the door the first time in the car.
And afterwards, they still sometimes forget and reach for it.
For rear seat passengers, it is extra difficult because it's under your elbow, and requires some flexibility to reach for. Most often you need to reach across and open them with your inside hand, as opposed to regular handles, wherein you just lift your arm and open the latch.
There are some very sound ergonomic design principles behind placing the latches up where they usually are. While the Ranger latches look cool, it's an impractical change from something that already worked pretty well.

      Doable at 80 and under.
The old 2.2 was already close. The new 2.0 is more efficient.
Our other contributors have said they've seen higher, but I can't confirm that.

Truth: LEATHER IS for good looks. Looks EXPENSIVE and LOOKS GOOD ON AUTOMOTIVE CHAIRS but is UNCOMFORTABLE... Unless you get a ROLLS ROYCE, a TOYOTA HERITAGE, and REALLY TOP of the BRAND CARS and SUVS with COMFORTABLE PLUSH LEATHER SEATS.

@@dknz9152same question for that person. Been there done that. Way back 2016 when we bought our first ever car, pinili ko Honda City VX over Toyota Vios. Mas advanced ang City that time - keyless entry and remote-sensored no need to get the key and press lock and unlock, sleek design front ant back, with satellite navi narin, the cabin was so elegant, touch screen pati aircon adjustment, with rear camera din. There are many people saying mahal ang maintenance, mahirap maghanap ng spare part unlike Toyota daw na marami lang kahit saan. Fast forward to 2023 my car still doing great as if we just bought it last year. 7 years old baby still doing great. Lady driver here.
