Just saw this video randomly on TH-cam. I have a 2020 Ranger XLT FX4 i live in California. 2018-2023 rangers here only have one engine and tranny. It’s a 2.3 turbocharged 270 HP stock and 310 lbs of torque stock. Hauling and towing is about 6000 lbs same as a F150. Mine already has 63k miles on them in less than 3 years. I take this off roading on weekends and did cross country driving multiple times with no issues at all. The 10 speed tranny can be jerky when new bevause the computer is still learning how you drive the vehicle. These trucks are absolute beast. Mine was tuned by ford which gave me an extra 50 hp and another 100 lbs of torque.

I've been watching your reviews recently. What I really like about your reviews is that it's between driver centric and mechanic centric, not the others na mas madami pa ang pambobola sa sasakyan kaysa sa kung ano magiging experience ng driver sa sasakyan haha. And your review also mentioned about the 10speed tranny issues of ford before, the engine size, 4x2 vs 4x4 decision, shocks, etc. which is really important for viewers to note.
Kinda glad you've uploaded one for a Wildtrak 4x2 as I'm currently doing my research on Rangers (stuck on wildtrak 4x2 or sport 4x4 lol) and other brands before getting one by year-end or early next year haha. Thanks!

Just purchased one last october 7 with the luxxe yellow 4x4 wildtrak and indeed it is a head and eye turner. Everything you said in this video is on point and accurate. Haven't tried to maka a curve that would make a body roll but I have faith in this truck. Great review as always
Sidenote: Just had a long drive around Bohol island and was doing about 60-110 kph and about 60-80kph on curve road and I can fully attest to this that you can't feel any bodyroll on the truck. Really reliable and very confident on the build quality..

my friend got this car, I'm 6'4 and I sat at the back and I still had leg room, that kinda shocked me as most of the time, I dont get much leg room in the back seat of cars. But this ranger is different, great car over all, might ask for this for my 18th bday but maybe the new raptor is worth the wait

Watched a lot of reviews and this one has the most good points about the 4x2!
My friends were also questioning me why I chose this car (which is 4x2 and not 4x4, because my parents will use this and they are living in an underdeveloped place as their retirement house and also we have business there), but if you compared it or drove old car models of ford. You would definitely understand why ford chose these changes. I drove an old model ford ecosport and raptor before. and boy oh boy! THIS WILDTRACK IS SICK! sooooo smooth to drive while test driving it and the comfort! and felt really hard with the design!
As a woman, it made me feel macho. Haha!

My friend looks freaking cool driving her husband's white 4x4 ranger with her sunglasses. I was in awe and very impressed.
i used to own a sportrac and suddenly it popped in my mind. 6 speed is just perfect, ford really had a hard time with the 10speed issues.
thanks for watching. I totally agree.. in the 4x4 and Raptor variant, Ford decided to use the 10 speed tranny... I hope that it's been fixed.

first honor tlg sa review! 26 mins di man lang ako na boring. kudos!!!!
sir na banggit nyo po ung isyu sa 10spd transmission nya in some cases bumibigay pag nasa 70k km na po. may ford eve po ako nabili ko nov last year. 6k km pa lang natatakbo and due na ako for my 1st pms sa dealership ko. naglalaro lang sa isip ko kung better na swap ko sa new everest or keep ko na lang to hehe kung hindi gnun kalaki ang magiging dagdag ko sa bago na everest. wala pa ako idea magkano halaga if resale ko ulit sa ford. thanks

Sport 4x4 suspension surprisingly nice for truck setup, handling is so light.. So far am very satisfied with this car, let's see in the long run..

This new Ford Ranger has some dna's of the F150 specifically the F150 Tremor with those colored stitchings and wildtrack emblems. Also the Dna of a Mustang Mach E the fully-electric vehicle with its center console. Just my personal opinion it would have been nice if it has the 3.5L twin turbo like the one in the F150's. 400hp/500lb/ft of torque 😅 Overall, I like the new redesigned Ford Ranger. Hopefully I could see one here in Canada since GMC and Chevy just released their newly redesigned GMC canyon and Chevy colorado Zr2! Like the quality content you are producing. Just subed! 😀

I also test drove this and I really liked it. Its the reliability that really held me back so I went for a Pro4x as I felt the suspension was really comparable to this vehicle. Do you think a Pro4x could handle being armored? Great, informative and very entertaining video by the way! Cheers to you!
We did armor a pro4x and lets just say we decided to not continue armoring it anymore.. hahaha

Having driven the previous biturbo 10 speed automatic and the new gen everest, I can tell the transmission and response has improved dramatically. Not perfect but I’d take the more quiet and crossover like engine than a truck like engine of the mu-x/dmax and terra/navara tapos grabe ang nginig at ingay. I drive 95% in the highway anyways. Tthere are of course reliability issues but I’ll cross the bridge when I get there😆

Hi Boss KP! Based on your first few days of driving the new one. As early as now what differences have you noticed on the 6 speed tranny compared to the 10 speed?
They were both pretty smooth.. i think where it will be different is when driving long distances with relatively higher speeds which I disnt really have time to experience yes

This kind of truck is for city use, maybe province na hindi hills. Mahina ang HP and Torque. But the price is good, affordable pang masa. Lagyan mo ng offroad tires to pag mag bundok ka, baka makatulong but the horse power is a major roadblock.

Krss30 i'll be moving to a hill town residence in a few years and will settle there permanently. Been looking at tbe strada or dmax. A bit iffy on the ranger pero it looks so good. Performance na lang tlaga

Engine is the same .. we change the suspension anyway.. it depends kung saan mo gagamitin
Sir, my choice is between the hilux conquest 4x2 a/t and the all new wildtrak 4x2 a/t, in your opinion which one should I buy. I will appreciate it if you will help me decide which one to buy. I will use the pick up for daily drive mostly in Metro Manila. Thanks.
Hilux for daily sir we have the wildtrak this model also. Ganda ng ranger for safety but the thing is bago palang sya so testing waters pa din this new gen. We bought one on the lunch day. Sa province lang namin ginagamit yung ranger. Reliable na kasi si hilux when it comes to daily. Yun lang opinion ko sir kasi luxury yung ranger in my experience wala pa naman problem so far.
if you plan to have the pickup for only 5yrs to 10yrs go with Ford, pero if tulad ka namin na once or twice lng makakabili ng car in our lifetime then go with Toyota.
We own a hilux conquest. Sobrang tagtag, mabigat manubela at nasisikipan ako sa interior space. Nakita ko sa mall bagong ranger parang gusto ko na ibenta hilux namin kaso hndi pa fully paid eh. Hahahahah
Try changing the suspension boss, one of the best ones I have tried on non armored vehicles is Fox .. ganda ng performance.

As a Toyota fanboy, gusto ko itong honest review ni king panda na bumibigay tlga ang transmission ng 10 speed Automatic trans ng ford... legit yun kaya wala tayong makitang 15yrs old na ford ranger masyado sa kalsada.
Parts availability nalang tlga ang wala sa Ford... tipong parang Mitsu and Toyota kulang nlng pati sa mercury makabili ka ng parts.

I'm a toyota owner here in canada (3gen toyota tacoma) and when it comes to reliability toyota is number 1. I'm not sure about the 2024 4 cyl. turbo but the naturally aspirated engines are considered as bulletproof.

if you do not need th 4x4 and ADAS then this is the one to get i think
Its really simple boss, if you will never take it off road.. save the 300k and opt for the 4x2

And sa budget.. you cannot recommend kung hindi mo alam situation..
I would go for the 4x2 variant if you never really go offroad or you only go offroad sometimes cause 4x2 is still capable but you save money. Ford is also known to have issues with their 10 speed automatic transmissions which is found in the 4x4 variant so 4x2 is the safer option. But over the Sport 4x4 I would choose the Wildtrak 4x2 still for the aesthetic and the extra features.
