My hair has been growing and it is entering that awkward length stage, which requires a different approach to trimming by yourself. This trim tutorial is beginner friendly and detailed! Holding your hair straight up gives you layers. Holding your hair straight down (0°) gives you a blunt cut.
Try not to cut the hair past your second knuckle to avoids over cutting and improve precison.

Great video. This is the exact technique I use. I will but cutting in a couple of weeks, though. The stylist did a damage trim and I have some crazy uneven lengths. I'll be making a video too. I can't wait to have fresh ends again.

great video. do you recall the brand of the comb attachment you're using? i tried to using conairs universal comb attachment but it keeps popping off for the same silver bird dryer.
