You get an A+ for explanation, well done I definitely learnt how to get my hair trimmed properly and save my money too. Thank you so much. ( I recently did a big chop as soon as my hair grows back and whenever a trim is needed I will visit this video again) 😊
I’ve always did the twisting method. But you actually did this method with more detail than wat I do when I trim. I twist all the way to the ends, and watever loose hair that don’t go up into the twist, gets taken OFF. Thank u for upgrading my method sis♥️🤞🏽
I was just thinking 💭 of you and then boom you drop some tea. I had just finished trimming my own hair what a coincidence. I used the banding method too🥰❤️ Thank you for the tips . You always do great with your natural hair. You have so much patience and care towards your hair .
This tutorial is very informative. I am going to attempt the banding method as i think it's the easiest of all. I trimmed my hair before and it didn't come out even. My hair is also not as even as before but if I can master this, I will be on the road to hair recovery.
Thank you for the video!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 I use the twisting method because of you and just did it Friday!! Now I have more options I can definitely choose from and be trying now!! 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽♥️♥️♥️💋💋💋
Thank you for the tips. I usually do the twist method one. Now I have more to choose from. Knowledge is power!! I will be referring to this video when I do my hair again. 😊🙂😄
The 4 styles are best for people who we’re their natural hair a certain way. The first one is for naturals who blow out their hair a lot and do stuff with that. The second one is for guys and gals who love a good wash n go the third is good for people who like twists outs rod sets abs the last one is good for making shape.
I agree to an extent. According to Anthony Dickey, he said that if you truly want to see your split end properly, the hair shouldn't be in its curly state which I agree with because if you want to do a proper trimming, the banding method she did first really hit the nail on the head while the rat tail comb is a bit advanced for those who doesn't have a trained eyes or hand for shaping. Thanks for the tutorial and I'm going to add this to my liked videos.🙏🏿🙏🏿
I really love and appreciate this video! Thank you for sharing! 👏🏾 You definitely have a gift for explaining things. I like the twist method it’s simple easy and it gets the job done. You’ve inspired me to trim my hair, you do it and then your hair grows back fuller and longer! 👍🏾
Hello beautiful!! I clicked on your link for the leopard rat tail comb and something else popped up. Your videos are always so informative. Thank you 😍👍🏽👏🏽
You are a live saver! Thank you thank you!💜💜💜 I use the banding method on myself and my daughter. It’s nice to have confirmation of what I’m doing is a good method.
Your hair is so pretty!!!😍 You inspire me to trim my ends, better & more patiently! I'm anticipating my next wash day just to do a great trim! Thank you!❤
I like the rat teeth comb method, it is easy for me, I normally do the twisting method but you taught a more detail. Thank you sister it will definitely save me money.
Your videos always come just when I need them. I’m pre-stretching my hair to blow it out tomorrow and already did a precursor trim but I’m going to do another one and use the banding method. I REALLY want the Dyson dryer but I already have the Revair and my wallet says “no thank you” lol
I just came across your video. It is right on time for me. I loved it. You did a great job with the demonstration and explanations. I will give the 1st, 3rd, and 4th methods a try. Be blessed!😁
Thank you for this video! Very very helpful. Going to trim my hair for the first time. Nervous because I haven’t had a trim in years…. Have you ever trimmed your hair wet?
This was awesome! Wish I had this information two weeks ago.. I went to the salon.. she cut a lot my hair off…thinking I was getting a good trim, but after I shampoo and condition my hair I noticed just how much split ends were left ☹️cost me $40 bucks and I still need another trim! I will be using the bands or rat tailed method myself! 😀 thank you so very much for this information.. I will be studying this video to make sure I got it and ready to trim my hair ❤️
Thank you Jeanette for this video extremely helpful 🥰💙💕.. I need to trim my ends they are a hot mess! I’m definitely going to do the twist method I think that will work best for me 🥰
Do you feel like the unicorn cut made your hair tangle more over time since the cut was done on stretched hair? I was curious about this since when curly the hair can hang differently?
Thank you so much for the explanation and demonstration of different ways to trim! ☺️ I will try the methods you demonstrated and feel more confident I can do them correctly now after watching. How often should a trim be performed? Is it every six weeks or every six months? Thank you again for sharing!
Yes, the see through ends compared to the roots and down the length is a clear sign. I would suggest feeling feeling towards the ends for the gritty bits 💕
I trimmed my hair in one sitting to show the four examples, I evened out at the end with the twisting method. I will be cutting my hair around January/February 💕
You have dark roots, it seems like you just colored your hair. You hair grows so fast! I find that that twisting method works for me. I’ve tried other methods and my hair is still recovering from those bad “trims”
I ALWAYS come back to THIS specific video when it’s time to trim my hair. It’s the best one I’ve seen.
You get an A+ for explanation, well done I definitely learnt how to get my hair trimmed properly and save my money too. Thank you so much. ( I recently did a big chop as soon as my hair grows back and whenever a trim is needed I will visit this video again) 😊
Thank you so much 😊 Yes, DIY as much as you can.
I’ve always did the twisting method. But you actually did this method with more detail than wat I do when I trim. I twist all the way to the ends, and watever loose hair that don’t go up into the twist, gets taken OFF. Thank u for upgrading my method sis♥️🤞🏽
Thank you so much 😊 Glad I could help!
Thank you. You gave me the confidence to do my hair trims.
Definitely like the blow dry method using ponytail bands & twisting the hair trimming ends..😀
Thank you so much 😊

I think that method is one of the safer methods 😊

Thanks for the tutorial and I'm going to add this to my liked videos.🙏🏿🙏🏿
I personally like the twist method, I never tried the other methods because I don't think I trust myself to cut it correctly.
The twist method seems very common amongst naturals. I think it's a safer way too :)
I really love and appreciate this video! Thank you for sharing! 👏🏾 You definitely have a gift for explaining things. I like the twist method it’s simple easy and it gets the job done. You’ve inspired me to trim my hair, you do it and then your hair grows back fuller and longer! 👍🏾

I clicked on your link for the leopard rat tail comb and something else popped up. Your videos are always so informative. Thank you 😍👍🏽👏🏽
I got the animal print comb from KC Beauty but the rat tail comb I typically use is from Evolve.
Thank you again, Jeanette 🤗
❤️❤️.
I'm gonna try the twist and clip ends off method.
Twisting is helpful 🙌🏽

This video is so helpful, thanks so much 🥰

Yay! I was right :)

Wondering if you had to lighten your hair first before dying it that color?
I didn't straight red dye.
Love this video!!! Thank you for such clear explanation. I think I'll use the rat tail method.
Thank you for this video! Very very helpful. Going to trim my hair for the first time. Nervous because I haven’t had a trim in years…. Have you ever trimmed your hair wet?
Thanks , all great ways.
Thank you 🥰
Definitely time for a trim for mommy.
Hi J, Thank you for sharing these great tips 😍😍🥰 all methods are great but the twist is my go to, I'll try the rattail method I think 🤔😊👍🏽
thank you so much Annette! I think the twisting method is a safer method and it's a favorite amongst naturals 😊
Thanks for sharing and providing the information. I will try the drying/srunchy method. Hopefully, I can get the proper hair scissor too. 🙏💜

My hair is really thick and your and similar to your texture. You make me want to comb my locs out and just wear it out.
You’re so informative it’s the best 😊
Love it and it was very helpful for me Thank you!
Yay 🙌🏽 glad to know. Thank you 🥰
Thank you Jeanette for this video extremely helpful 🥰💙💕.. I need to trim my ends they are a hot mess! I’m definitely going to do the twist method I think that will work best for me 🥰
I’m taking my braids out do I trim before or after the wash.
I prefer the ponytail method the first one yo did
That's a good one. That one seems to be the one I'll do to cut my hair
Can you recommend a pair of shears.?
I've only trimmed my hair when it's straight, so this gives me other options too if I don't want to straighten my hair, thanks.
Do you feel like the unicorn cut made your hair tangle more over time since the cut was done on stretched hair? I was curious about this since when curly the hair can hang differently?
I feel like my behaved the same as before. I will be cutting my hair again soon 😊
TY so much❤
Thank you for this video! I’m going to try the twist method for my mom and I, Neither of us has had a trim in probably over a year smh
Thank you so much 😊 Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for the explanation and demonstration of different ways to trim! ☺️ I will try the methods you demonstrated and feel more confident I can do them correctly now after watching. How often should a trim be performed? Is it every six weeks or every six months? Thank you again for sharing!
Great vid
How often do you trim?
So cutting off the ends where its see through right? I have thin hair but I have straggly ends lol
Yes, the see through ends compared to the roots and down the length is a clear sign. I would suggest feeling feeling towards the ends for the gritty bits 💕
Love it
Thank you 🥰
Great tips! Did you actually trim your hair 4 times at one time or is this footage from different trims?
From the colour of her hair, it's the same time.
I trimmed my hair in one sitting to show the four examples, I evened out at the end with the twisting method. I will be cutting my hair around January/February 💕
@@jeanettejbeauty6374 got it! Thanks for explaining. The 4 trims are understandable if you are cutting it soon😊
0:16 You are lookin' absolutely gorgeous as per usual 💖💖😻😍😉😘
Thank you!
I second that, absolutely gorgeous.
Amazing 🔥🔥
You have dark roots, it seems like you just colored your hair. You hair grows so fast!
I find that that twisting method works for me. I’ve tried other methods and my hair is still recovering from those bad “trims”
Yes, my hair is growing out from the red 😊 I think the twisting method is a safer method.
