    You remind me of like the Cute little Sister next door 🤗 🤗. Here's a little tip. When i get a silk press or a press and curl. Wait aren't they basically kind of the same thing? 🤣 🤣. But i would roll mine at night with some satin pillow rollers i got off Amazon. They're Pink with White polka dots. They are a Lifesaver and keep me from using heat after i get a press and curl or silk press but those rollers i swear they make your curls last a month if not longer. Sometimes i would pin curl it but the rollers are my go to for longer lasting curls. STAY SAFE EVERYONE.

    • @StarringLia

      @@StarringLia I just caught that part where you said you're scared of Titanium flat irons. Me too like terrified since my hair strands are breakage prone. Red by Kiss makes a Silicone flat iron that goes to 450 degrees. The Silicone plates are suppose to help protect the hair from heat damage so they say but i'll see when i get my new one.

    Just a question, Sis? Why do you consider your hair short? I'm thinking if you can place your strands in a ponytail/goes past your jawline, it's not all that short... 🤔. Is that a cosmetology thing like the blonde definition when the hair looks brown to me? I like your video overall; research for maintaining my daughter's hair!

    How often are you able to do this on your hair without losing your natural curl pattern?

    • @StarringLia
      @StarringLia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Typically, I straighten my hair once a year! I have done it twice, but I wouldn’t do it more than 2x if your hair seems to not revert completely back! 💕

    • @ms.g1791
      @ms.g1791 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Starring Lia thanks! I recently straightened it and clipped my horrible ends (much needed) for a big interview but I didn't want to clip so much. Ad a result I'm sure I left some damaged ends and wondered if I should do it again. But I still have a few strands that didn't snap back so it's probably not so wise so soon. You mentioned clipping your hair every six months I believe...that must be with your curls still bouncing?

    • @StarringLia
      @StarringLia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I clip them when I notice that they are getting bad. I do not go longer than 6 months and have even clipped my ends every 3 months depending on how often I’m manipulating my hair. I have also clipped my hair on blown out hair before too. It takes more patience and concentration though.

    • @ms.g1791
      @ms.g1791 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Starring Lia yes, my hair is exactly like yours and in length. Prior to my natural journey years ago my hair was down to my butt so ...patience...I get it. Lol but now I have small kids so "patience " takes on a whole different form!!!! Lol thanks for the advice 😄

      Thank you for sharing this info! I recently went to a professional to get a silk press and learned a lot of information about products. Because I was using heavy creams and oils before silk pressing, they may not have been completely out of the hair as it could take up to a month for the hair to not rely on those products for moisture. I believe that is why I had trouble with poofiness. The stylist told me that the poofiness occurs because the hair looks for moisture in the air. I will be doing a video about hair products soon based on what I have learned! 💕
