Yeah, it's basically a Reno without the deckbuilding restriction. On average, it'll be playable by turn 9-10 if not cheap by that point. And it's a board wipe plus a big chonky stat bomb.
Priest needs a warrior type intervention. It really needs someone like Cora to just come out and say that what they are doing with the class just iant working and that it needs a crisis intervention. I truly believe they have lost all ability to properly design for the class and theres needs to be something done
Agreed. I had one of the main designer tell me that "Trust me! Draenei Priest is very cool" ... yet no one played it in Theorycrafting. I wonder why... They are so out of touch and keep printing these awful cards for the class like they are thinking : "Wow, these cards are so cool!!!" Well guess what? No, they are not cool! People don't want to play Tram Heist, Posse Possession, Delayed Product and all that crap you keep designing! What is Priest going to do at rotation when it loses practically all its good cards?
To be honest... They kind of need to step back and rethink all classes at this point. The complete lack of identity that most classes have these days (With what little identity that some classes actually have, being simply "A bunch of garbage") really is doing a number on their card designs. It'd also help if they could go 5 god damn minutes without printing yet more "Dual Class" cards and deck defining neutrals... So that classes could actually you know, be classes?
The main problems I think are: A) That they are still trying to push class identity even though they've also been giving *every* class crazy consistency, draw power, board clearing etc. to the point there is no identity aside from gimmicks and specific archetypes within the class. There are no more "weaknesses" for each class either. Granted, this isn't bad as it prevents hard countering, which is never fun, but it also reduced the game to "which player can draw into their game winning combo first and how quickly can they set it up?" Which gets tiresome REAL quick. B) They keep printing meta warping Neutral cards. I get that accidentally giving one class a super powerfull card would be bad. But this isn't much better. When *Onyxia, Raid Boss* came out, everybody ran it When *Neptulon and Azshara* came out, everybody ran them When *Yogg, Unleashed* came out, everybody ran it When *Reno, Lone Ranger* came out, everybody ran it When the new *Zilliax* came out, everybody ran it. When *Marin The Manager* came out, everybody ran it. The result was always the same: *Complete homogenisation of the meta* Everybody ran the same cards cause you would be stupid not to if you're playing ranked The problem isn't that the cards are powerfull, the problem is that the cards are *so powerfull* that not running them was objectively subpar. And if an expansion just so happens to also have a bunch of power outliers, then certain classes will just have an advantage *anyway* Take Puppetmaster Dorian for example. Literally the only class that it sees play in is Druid, despite being Neutral. This is because its the only class that can abuse so much as of me writting this. Or take Reno, Lone Ranger. That card is *still* a staple of Warrior decks because NOTHING can come back from getting their board wiped AND losing up to 18 cards from their hand, field and deck due to the Brann + Boomboss Tho'grun combo the longer the game goes on.
Really, it just means that simply having mana cheat doesn't necessarily mean BUH-ROKEN. There still needs to be something to cheat out. Which DK currently just doesn't have. Also, it's like "Oh boy I can cheat out a 10 mana card on turn 6" meanwhile Druid's sat there with 15 mana crystals like: 👁👄👁
I feel like Draenei Warrior might be a sleeper deck? It seems pretty straightforward and can get out of hand quickly (buff Draenei -> play Draenei -> go face). Which is probably why people didn't theorycraft with it since it's just an aggressive deck that is not as interesting to watch. Or maybe in reality it's just a highroll deck that needs all its pieces played in the right order? Like I watched WickedGoodFM try something and while turn 2 mace -> turn 3 chorus riff -> turn 4 Vindicator -> turn 5 Stalwart Avenger that gives 14 attack to your hero is quite scary... it might be too rare or even not good enough in the actual meta.
No it had quite a bit of theorycraft play it was found out the deck can’t fight for board effectively at all and it seemed to get swarmed too easily or beat by big taunts
Draenei Warrior will be garbage on release and then get some key cards buffed on a future patch alongside some support from the miniset and become a decent deck. I can definitely see that 4 mana draw 2 card going to 3 mana and Akama receiving the rush keyword for example.
I will be very surprised if Quasar isn't broken. The 10 new cards theorycraft rule in a deck like quasar rogue is an extremely large drawback because it means you can't guarantee a 0 mana card draw chain. I've theorycrafted a deck that will consistently set up infinite damage the turn after it's played, I'm just not sure there will be enough time in a turn to execute the otk. But if you spend one turn getting the combo pieces and the next executing, I think it should work.
Funny thing about rogue... you can literally play the "Quasar deck" without Quasar. Maxie was doing it playing shaffar and killing people on turn 5 turn 6 anyway. That deck is gonna be insane, skulker is busted and so is the spellburst draw guy.
What do you mean you didn't see anyone play the spore cards? The video you posted of you playing rogue they played the spores like 5 times and giga high rolled you with sancazel lol
played religiously the first 5 years, haven't touched the game since. The thing that stood out from this vid was the extra diamond and full art legendries, they really want to milk the gambling addicts as much as they can huh. classic modern blizz. what a sad era for gaming we live in.
Turn 5 coin exarch maladar into the ceaseless expanse is going to break the game guys, how'd we get that many corpses? We don't ask those kinds of questions
I really understand the disappointment of other priest players. Still, I enjoy the challenge of trying to build a competitive deck of what we get. Which usually is a bunch of random crap. 😅
I saw the dranei be powerful but I think you have to have velen. Presuming you played a bunch of other dranei you can get crazy stuff like summoning your next dranei with a bunch of buffs and triple them which is what I'm guessing Shield of Askara is for. I saw even hologram operator be incredible with velen.
Cast When Drawn would be so stupid due to the potential highroll of turn 1 having a full board of minions because you drew 3 spores in a row right away.
Asteroids deal 3 damage and give you a board, 4 damage with the new 3mana spellburst draw 2 cards and spell damage +1. It might not work against control with a bunch of heal and board clears, but it does seem viable
@@MrRichman668 Asteroids deal 2 damage base. Rogue only has the one Asteroid card it can run (That being the neutral) so it's not like they're going to be getting a ton of them (Even if you Step x2 and Breakdance x2 and play both of them that's only 18 of them or 36 damage which only barely kills people IF they all go face and IF they don't heal between Asteroid hits) Also, given that Asteroids can hit ANY target, even aggro/tempo decks will be a pain. Things like Pirate DH and Evolve Shaman have plenty of tokens to soak Asteroids. Handbuff and Libram Paladin has huge stats to soak Asteroids. Decks like DK will still be flooding the board with Razzle Dazzler... I just don't see Asteroid Quasar Rogue really working. I don't think Asteroid Rogue in general is even as good as Incindius Rogue (Which is already bad)
Priest's set is so bad, at least give it some overheal or even dragons synergy cards to support previous ones instead of making a new archetype that im sure will not be supported ever again next expansions
I think people are wrong about it but it requires the velen asakra combo. Because basically everytime you play askara velen adds that many more copies of what you summon next which I think you want a buffed up shield of Askara
The Aggro Drenai warrior is OP and some cards feels like a first week nerf candidate. The 4mana drenai 7/2 whose attack and health swap each turn is busted
Anchorite is the sleeper hit for Priest, although sadly there are no new decks for priest that use a majority of new cards. Crazed alchemist anchorite priest will be very strong though.
I honestly think that basically every deck that doesn't end the game on turn 4 is going to play The Ceasless Expanse
Yeah, it's basically a Reno without the deckbuilding restriction.
On average, it'll be playable by turn 9-10 if not cheap by that point. And it's a board wipe plus a big chonky stat bomb.
Big shaman stonks
Its what ive been saying but the other day some youtuber said its just a 15/15 and is unplayable
which is the problem with strong neutrals... everyone runs them. It gets boring.
@@tarille1043It’s a slightly worse Yogg, but Yogg it self is rotating out so it’ll replace it.
Sunken city had some incredible art, but this expansion totally blows it out of the water. (Pun intended)

Haven’t been this excited with an expansion for a long time! Amazing stuff this time around!
Priest got robbed again
It steals opponent cards, why would he need his own cards? He will play every possible deck out there.
@@juliosoto6315 Such a dumb archetype :/
To be fair, that's kind of the curse of the class. Same as Demon Hunter. Its either virtually unplayable or Tier 1. Very little in-between lol
Every expansion i’m impressed by how creative some of these card flavours get
Priest is never getting enough love
I disagree. It's got everlasting love.
The ceaseless expanse will definitely have some Holy Wrath highlights on the Internet.

Quasar rogue had around 105% winrate on theorecraft, I think they would nerf it to 13 mana, so you need to play a coin + prep to play this card.

@Zeddy. Could you create a video on decks we could play in the pre-release tavern brawl? Maybe with only good rares and commons from the new set?
Time to return. TY Zeddy
Keep up the good work, Zeddy
Control is back baby ! have been waiting for it since 2018
ceaseless expase holy wrath pally in wild will be wild
Also, Zeddy, big question: when the dark star says “steal health” does that mean it reduces the enemy hero’s health total?
She does and gives the helf to herself
Yes
The power level here is bananas
very powerful set... except priest
very powerfull? thats really very off, perils DEFINED the meta for every class, GDB have like 10 relevant cards in total if that...
When's quasar getting nurffed?
Absolutely going try an arcane spell hunter
First expansion I've been excited for in a long time. Still not buying it, but I'll craft the heck out of some cards :D
Honestly all of the classes need a revamp with a focus on class identity again. And difficulty to build shouldn’t be a literal drawback to any class.
Blizzard is getting crafty
expamsion theme looks great but im not sure if its worth returning to hearthstone..
How could zeddy NOT give a 3-cost 12/12 a broken rating!
dealing 100 damage in a single blast with order in the court holy wrath

Priest card sucking every new expansion seems to be the norm now
I wonder if you just run the 2 mana starship piece that gives your minions attack and warp drive and no other pieces just to enable the drive
It would be hilarious if they nerfed the ceaseless expansion by one singular mana

Still nothing for priest after injured hauler nerf. We're STARVING while every other class eating good. 😭
Blizzard doesnt care about priest in wow either, last patch every other class got changes and priest was absent
Actually if you play thief priest, you can cast the busted card yourself 😂
You have zarimi priest wdym? I still have a 60% WR with that deck
You still have aman thul that u can cheat out 6 times so I don’t feel bad for you. I MAIN HUNTER
I was a priest main, but now i prefer Blood DK, much better control class
This expansion seems good
Every dk wants to play maladar I gueww
I cant not view quasar as being a weaker astral communion. You need consistent draw, but if your deck is all draw what are you drawing towards?
