My MCU has been slowly eroding since Doctor Strange 2, She-Hulk (As an avid comic fan run from A-Force) & Secret Invation (Which was the Straw that broke the camels back). I will check in on the MCU in phase 6/7.

This reminds me of the time when my wife (girlfriend at the time) and I went to see The Blair Witch project. At the end of movie when we got up to leave, one girl yelled out "Well that sucked"....lol

Unfortunately there getting killed before people watch the movie for themselves because fans are pissed about other stuff. Hopefully it turns around soon. But who knows this strike is pushing a lot of movies back which gives fans more time to be pissed
Believe it or not, most of the harshest critics including me, absolutely love the young actress that plays Ms Marvel. They think she's great but is not getting alot to work with. 🙁
She's a bit of a pop culture geek and knows who and how the comic characters are supposed to be. She gets big credit for that.
They better leave them...especially Teyonah Parris alone.
Even the worst reviews are at least singing out Vellani as a highlight, so that’s something
I love Greg for his passion and candor and I love John for his ability to really paint a picture in between the lines. They compliment each other so well...
This movie was awesome! The Flerkens eating everyone was hilarious, the musical planet was fun, finally getting Young Avengers and Beast at the end with the X-Men movie music was such hype! The movie was hilarious. It got pretty good reviews too.
If Ant Man 3 wasn’t a wake up call for them maybe this film will encourage them to put more effort into their future projects
Someone pointed out that the roller coaster is the best way to describe phase4-5 where you’ll have an ok/ shit movie and then the next project wether it’s a movie or show will be great and just repeat that pattern so when someone pointed out part of me was like ‘this movie at best is just gonna be another ok movie’

I don’t think the writers should be let off the hook so easily. The writing hasn’t been stellar for a while.
They are putting people with agendas in place of real storytellers. So unfrotunately yes the story will suffer and quality.
This script was probably watered down by c-level execs not the writers to fit in XYZ points and events & Marvel probably strained the crap out of their writers. Not to mention editors are treated horribly by Marvel too so definitely do not blame writers

The hate that this movie is getting is irritating. It honestly feels like people are expect some amzing end game level movie when the moives aren't even there yet. It's like the movies before End Game helped to set up characters and plot lines for what's to come and the movies and shows are doing that. I just don't get what everyone wants from Marvel. If everyone movie was End Game level we would get so tired of watching them which was an issue for the last few yeats and now that they are calming down with their movies to let people get back into them everyone's suddenly upset

what movie did you watch??? I've been super upset with marvel lately but this one was a lot of fun.
There are a lot of points Greg made that I totally agree with. AND I think I fall a bit more in the John camp, this one had me enjoying it throughout. I appreciated the trio - Iman, Teyonah, and Brie - with Iman just stealing moments. I also liked Sam Jackson's dynamics with the family. Personally, I thought the whole flurkins thing was the most forced and the disneyfication princess moment was just awful (and I am a musical lover!). Zawe... I think she was done dirty. Not fair, especially considering who her husband is! Overall, it does not fall below Quantumania for me. That was just utterly disappointing.

I watched it. I’m inclined to agree with them tbh. It just felt like a bunch of half-baked ideas. The only saving grace was the chemistry and dynamic between the primary Marvels, particularly Iman Vellani. The set-ups at the end were really cool and make me excited for the future, but those shouldn’t be the best part of the movie; they should be the icing on the cake. Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani all deserved a better movie/story Than what they got. The movie should’ve been longer, so that certain ideas and plot points could actually be given proper weight. Definitely could’ve done without the Disney Princess scene too. The whole thing felt like they were rushing JUST to get to those set-ups at the end, without the proper build up.

Ever since the first trailer shown, I was never impressed or excited for this movie. At this point in time, I'll just wait to see it on Disney+ as I am not intrigued to go and see this in theaters.

Dude me too and there’s not many people that I honestly listen to but these guys I actually do but now I see what it is…perhaps they need the clicks too. I take nothing away from them being entitled to their opinions and being “proper cinephiles” or comic geeks (the latter I can identify) but with this one…feels like they’ve just decided to join either the hate train and I dare not put my femininity out there…but well I’ll throw it down like it’s my last play in the game, or they simply want their dudes back or they miss the perceived “brunt” of marvel and listen, sure this was no Loki season finale, nor was this was an avengers team up but it was a fun-good movie…and the three actors were amazing, the side characters too and the story itself, sure I wanted more time I wanted to go deeper with some things but what we got was okay. It wasn’t the worse that’s for damned sure and to get on here and saddle the high horse…well now we know what that’s about…they’re just joining the hate train as if this isn’t going to send the masses and the angry village after the actresses and the director and of course marvel but go on guys lead the pact with your cute thumbnail and angry rant. You’ll get 1000 more clicks for the one you’re losing from me. May the odds ever be in your favor. I wish you well. They’re relegated to pandering status to me now. But I agree with what you said the movie was fine. End credit was dope. And I will be watching again. Probably two more times actually.
Yeah, I probably won't watch Quatumania again but this will definitely get a rewatch from me when it comes to Disney Plus. I really enjoyed it.

I watched this movie and I thought it was pretty good tbh nd very funny. It’s definitely worth a watch if u wanna watch some cool action,funny super hero marvel movie. With the ending cutscene it’s a plus👌🏾
The other day I was watching a video on Nerdrotic channel, and I thought I like his points but I think sometimes he's being too hard on Marvel. But tbh, now I think he was right. We as hardcore fans, we have to be HARD on Marvel these days. They need to know as much as we appreciate their efforts, and as well as we paid em back by showing our support and made the movies like "Endgame" a worldwide phenomenon, we also can boycott the shitty projects they're throwing at us nowadays. So I think you did a great job of being honest about this movie. If something is bad, there's NO NEED TO BE NICE. They need to know the audience are smart, and either keep their sh* together, or no one cares about em anymore.

I just watched it and it was totally fine! After seeing your review i went in not having good thoughts and it was a very fun film. Guess i really just need to stick to my rule that reviews don't mean anything...😂😂
Greg saying that Coy said “is this what the MCU needs right now?” is hilarious considering how the final trailer set it up as the event that changes everything. I also find it funny how this multiverse saga is really just not very multiversal and when it is the MCU has YET to capitalize on it. This phase and the one before it have been very mediocre to bad, with like 2-3 projects being genuinely good. MCU is in a rough place and needs to be restructured BAD.
The finale of Loki basically wrote off Ant-Man 3 as being in a 616-adjacent universe and therefore not part of the main MCU timeline. And with the post credit scene of this movie revealing mutants and Xmen (FINALLY), It seems that we're finally getting into more multiverse stuff.
I’d say complete reboot of everything marvel with showrunners this time. New directors and writers. However gen z is more woke then millennials so it’ll just be way worse to hire new talent

They don't explain why they're switching places and they repeatedly use their powers and don't switch places vs other times they immediately switch places when using powers. It makes no sense at all.

Always watch a movie and base it on your own opinions. Just because Greg didn’t like it doesn’t mean you won’t. Half the movies he doesn’t like I liked, and there is nothing wrong with that. So just go watch it for yourself.
There is no hope of enjoying this movie, I promise you lol. And honestly, nothing Disney Marvel produces nowadays deaerves the benefit of the doubt. They have shoveled ao much low tier crap our way that it is on them to make rhe audience care and come back. Superhero films are a non-starter now, and Marvel caused it directly with crap like this.
I think this is one of those I'll wait till it gets dumped to streaming so I don't have to pay specifically to watch this situations

I'm really only looking forward to this movie for Ms. Marvel. I LOVED her show, and I'm intrigued by Monica's character, because we didn't get enough in Wandavision.
Honestly same here I really like Ms. Marvel and her show was fun. Monica was interesting in Wandavision. But I don't know if I would watch the movie solely with them in it.

I thought Ms. Marvel was one of the worst of the shows, if not the worst. Just my opinion tho.
I didn't like the show because while technically it was good (great performances, good editing etc.), it was incredibly boring, nothing relevant happened until the school part in the final episode and it was just really missed opportunity.
But I loved Kamala and Bruno. Both as actors and the characters. And I really, truly hope they'll get much better writers.

@@alexmarshall8187from behind the scenes stuff, it really sound like the director lost interest in this movie when it got delayed. She also stated it was “very important” to her to keep the movie under 2 hours which makes me wonder if the terrible editing I’m hearing about from everyone that has seen it so far was caused by that. Even the people who enjoyed it have said in their reviews that the editing was awful and it feels like they left a bunch of filmed stuff out to keep it short.

I was apologizing to my friend before we saw the movie because I heard it was awful, but I’ve seen every marvel movie so I had to see this one. While we were watching this, I was seriously confused by all the hate. I thought it was a fun movie throughout and I really liked all the characters. Seems like a weird agenda being pushed against this movie

Just saw it, I don't know what movie you guys saw but that was not bad at all. I quite liked the plot, it made sense and was easy to follow. The action and humor were on par with the rest of the MCU. Don't think I'll put much stock in your movie reviews going forward, luckily I had already bought my ticket before seeing this one otherwise I'd have missed out.
