They might be "crazy" for some, but indispensable in certain conditions. Just don't mind the sound they make. Appreciate the individual speed settings for each wiper (Captain or F.O), and clearer vision during precipitations. Many airport ground crews had their lives spared thanks to them. Landing and taxiing in very stormy and dark weather is the reason why they belong. Memories of a beloved Twin Otter DHC-6 de Havilland Canada comes to mind. Superb wiper linkages and blade effectiveness on the Twin Otter. More so on those memories of passed red eye flights around Hudson Bay. Been there... CYUL PS: Hat's off Embraer E-Jet family!

That crew earned their place in heaven many times over
The only "crazy" thing here is the wipers.
Right! 😂 😂
Indeed, People all think they are suddenly pilots ;-) They have NO idea ! Compare to my LPMA landings, this landing is an joke ! Easy as 1.2.3. !
CYUL
PS: Hat's off Embraer E-Jet family!
And maybe the captain's hair
That's a workout!!
Phew! Those wiper blades would drive me nuts.
