Ubisoft’s downfall over the years is a textbook example of what happens when a company prioritizes its own vision over the actual desires and feedback of its player base. For the last decade or so, they’ve consistently ignored the voices of the community, choosing instead to chase trends or make decisions they believe players want-often missing the mark entirely. It’s truly disheartening because Ubisoft once had the potential to be the world’s leading gaming company. They had the power, resources, and talent to set the standard for the entire industry. Instead, we’ve seen them lose their way, failing to nurture the legacy of some of their greatest franchises. Classic games that once defined Ubisoft’s identity have either been shelved indefinitely or transformed into something unrecognizable, stripped of what made them special. The over-reliance on live service models, repetitive gameplay loops, and cookie-cutter open-world designs has turned many of their once-beloved series into hollow shells. This isn’t just about nostalgia-it’s about the loss of innovation and heart. The Ubisoft of the past wasn’t afraid to take risks or listen to its fans, but that ethos seems long gone. It’s a sad story, especially for those of us who grew up loving their games. Franchises like Splinter Cell, Assassin’s Creed, and Prince of Persia are either completely lost, diluted beyond recognition, or stuck in limbo. It’s frustrating because so many of us want Ubisoft to succeed. We want them to listen, to bring back the magic, and to rebuild that trust with their audience. Until they change course and genuinely prioritize what players want-not what executives think will maximize short-term profits-they’ll continue to squander their potential and alienate their most loyal fans. It’s not too late for redemption, but they need to act now before they lose everything that made them great. Thanks for the video My Gamer Daddy Friend 😊
Marco Style mentioned this in his D2 review. Ubisoft legit believed the first game was a failure despite the successful sales and demanded Massive to make an immediate sequel.
As someone who discovered The Division franchise in 2020, started playing TD 2 and then bought TD1 it is crazy for me who they did not stayed with TD1, supported and improved the game. Somthimes i run some legendary mission, in the TD1 (Solo). Wish they would add Legendary mode in the Underround, more legendary missions and some expentions. The jump too quickly in the TD2. I dont think they will make the same mistake with TD3. It should not came out in less than a couple of years(2027-28).

No, no it wouldn't. Heartland was a dog water abomination of The Division franchise. They truly need to just default back to a Division 1 Style game. If it ain't broke don't fix it kinda ordeal. I LOVED Division 1, the graphics, playstyle, the environment, theme, all of it. It was perfect.
@@justinclark6331I don’t know how division fans truly think Heartland would’ve succeeded. Did they not watch the trailers? It would’ve flopped badly and further fracture the player base even more.
@@justinclark6331 you guys don’t realize that it would have made them more money better then what is going on right now with them an outdated game noo cross play noo updated graphics ect ect noo wonder there going bankrupt and there planning on releasing a payed dlc… again
Its over! If TD3 is happening its not going to be good. Even if AC Shadows (which is delayed again) performs well the future of Ubisoft remains uncertain because of mismanagement at the top and the enormous losses in the last two years. I mean 85% share loss and 494 million loss in 2023, 40% in 2024. Its not looking good for Ubisoft at all. They thought they were untouchable. God bless
Not sure if Ubisoft is ready to evolve. Something tells me their writing a bad narrative that the majority of gamers have not been interested in nor ever will be. We are the last stop. Our voices have been putting things back on the map straight and clear.
Or in the case of D2, most collapsed after 2020 and the leftover players were absorbed by the larger more established clans. On Xbox, there was a clan called LFG Infamous that dominated the xp ranks for a couple of years. By the end of 2021, they literally stopped playing the game. So even dedicated large clans have even left the game.
Ubisoft should've released Heartland because rhey won't know if it will be a hit or missed because some will think it's a Fortnite clone copy & others will think it's ok/mid. Red Storm rook rhe feedback of heartland that can be a balance of division 1 & division 2 elements of the gameplay.
Heartland should have been a $10 game mode/mission or expansion of Division 2, it's stoopid business to peal your current player base away from one game to another within the same franchise for free.
If they were smart and truly business savvy they would make the Div games like a Red Dead or GTA 4 online and constantly add new parts of the city or game modes or incursions or raids that expands the story narrative, if you have a constant 10, 20 or 30 million players KEEP THEM by constantly adding new content, I would gladly pay $5 to $20 a month or every few months (depending on the size of the content) for a new area to play or a new mode or what ever, I'd buy new apparel or whatever if it were reasonably priced, take for instance the new specialty weapon skins pack, on sale for $31.50 are you frikkin' insane? something like that should be $2 - $3 and that's it. Bottom line stop taking a 100 million dollar risk on an I.P. for 10 million new customers when you already have twice that currently playing one of your games.
LOL, they only hire DEI dev's who haven't made a game before. Div 3 is already a failed game. The only hope for div 3 to be successful is if UBISOFT sells its IP.
Ubisoft fumbled when they went back on seasonal characters. Most looter shooter's have regular wipes and TD2 needed to be updated to the wipe model in order to keep up and compete in the looter shooter scene. This game get's painfully boring once you max out your watch and build. No challenge, no gear grind, no real point. Going into each new season on the same OP build is not prolonging this game's life nor keeping players engaged. The need to grind and loot for better gear in order to get through the season's content is what would make the season worth playing through. The community killed off this game more than Ubisoft ever did with their non-stop complaining and wanting the game dumbed down so much. Devs should've stuck with their vision and did what's best for the game. The community killed off wipes and still are not happy with the new 2.0 model. Wipes would've without a doubt brought in far more players than the game has now.
I think they introduced seasonal characters waaayyy too late. People had been grinding post end game systems to make their character strong for over 3-4 years. So that could not fly in any sense.
Massive should’ve kept expanding D1 instead of making D2. Game has so much potential. I really wanted to explore Central Park and surrounding districts of Manhattan. Now, we get to go back to Brooklyn in the sequel where it doesn’t make any sense. On top of that, a Brooklyn dlc that lacks the same atmosphere and detail as D1.

The Division is an awesome franchise. Wish they would put more effort into taking care of it. Even assassin's creed has lost its way 😢

Heartland would have made them tones of money

Heartland was a dumpster fire waiting to happen. It was a copy cat game in the division world

We needed several dlcs and major updates we never got. The Division 2 players were left for dead.
Division 2 has had it and I hope if there division3 it's not into clan crap, most clans are dysfunctional useless .

im sick of Live service
Old school thinking in a new school environment
Choosing XDefiant over Heartland was mistake, imo

nice
They killed the Division 1 player base and funneled them to Division 2. Youre lying and rewriting history.

They made a lot of mistakes, the game is great.
They should dust off heartland and release it.
Lost hope for this game
